Charlie Platt and Rick Stewart welcome everyone to the WVTM Studios in Birmingham, where they are being seen across Alabama and Mississippi. The guys would like to once again apologize for the absence of Southeastern Championship Wrestling, but certainly appreciate all of the cards and letters sent in by the wrestling fans, and look forward to returning in the very near future. Platt: Now then, as promised, a special recap of the ongoing, Sizzlin Summer Series. With the first leg of the Series in the books, Southeastern Heavyweight Champion Austin Idol, Alabama Heavyweight Champion the Bullet, and Southeastern Tag Team Champions, the Tennessee Stud’s Perfection Connection, Arn Anderson and Jerry Stubbs have somehow managed to hold onto to those prestigious titles.
Stewart: And certainly not for a lack of trying either Charlie. Some of the greatest competition in the entire wrestling world has made their way to the hotbed of professional wrestling for the Sizzlin Summer Series. Yet here we are 6 weeks in, and all the champions of the spring are still holding on. And as most things do in this neck of the woods, we start off talking about The Universal Heartthrob himself, and champ it’s good to have you in studio.
Idol: Well ya know somethin’, Jack? The Boss don’t take no days off. Ya see, just like I been trying to tell the Sad Dog Buzz Sawyer who keeps on cryin’ and just like I been trying to tell his better half, Maniac Matilda Borne who can’t seem to keep his hands off the Heartthrob, being this much man is an all day job, daddy. Now Charlie Platt, it ain’t too many ladies in this studio, but I’m feelin some posing coming on, ohhh yea, take a look at these here guns, you see that Buzz Sawyer? That’s the same arm you and Borne tried to break in Biloxi, MS a few weeks back. That look like a half eaten chicken wing to you? Nah, I didn’t think so.
Platt: Certainly not, Champ. But before we get to your next series of scheduled matches against the Wild Ones, you had a stiff challenge in the form of Japanese stand-out, Riki Choshu this past week, tell us a little something about going from the wars with Sawyer and Borne, and turning right around and having a grappler challenge you for your title.
Idol: Well Charlie Platt, it is just part of what makes this the toughest sport in the World. Here in Professional Rasslin’ we don’t have no offseason, and we don’t take no days off. So whether I’m pluckin Buzz Sawyer’s eyeballs while keepin one of mine on this terrific tush just waiting on Borne, defending my Southeastern title against a man I call my friend like I did against Tommy Prichard back at the kick off the Series, or jockeying for a shot at that wooo, whoo Nature Boy against a fellow top 5 contender like Riki Choshu, The Boss is always up to the challenge.

Rick Stewart and Charlie Platt welcome everyone back where the Champ is still in studio…
Idol: But not for long, Jack. I have some hunny’s from Miss Sunny’s Bunny Saloon that got off work early this morning, starving for some Universal Heartthrob, and they’re waiting out back to buy me some waffles and omelets.
Platt: Well we certainly won’t keep you much longer, Austin, but we would like to hear your thoughts on the upcoming Bullrope Match against your nemesis, Buzz Sawer, on the infield at “Dudy” Noble Field in Starkville, MS.
Idol: They’re calling this one, for who the Cowbell Tolls, is that right? And a 20, 30 lbs., solid steel, maroon and white cowbell hanging from the middle, and attached at the ends will be two men who hate each other’s guts, trying to put the other man out of wrestling. No belts on the line, and no future World Title shots potentially hanging in the balance. And as you can see, the mood of Austin Idol has certainly changed. I’m taking this match, and that night very seriously. Not just because they’ll be honoring Will Clark, Jeff Brantley, and the Bulldogs, but because this might just be the night that Idol or Sawyer finally finish the job. And I’m gonna tell you one thing Buzz Sawyer, Austin Idol has a surprise for you. Oh my goodness, sweet Lord have some mercy, and please, PLEASE, let Matt Borne stick his nose in that match, cause I got somebody just itchin’ to punch him square in the mouth. And let me tell you something, when this buddy punches you in the mouth, you know it. So Buzz Sawyer, this Friday Night July the 25th will be the hottest night of the Sizzlin Summer Series so far. It will be you and me hookin’ it up one on one, and Jack, it ain’t a man alive who can handle what the Boss can put on em in a fair fight. Now, that’s it for me Charlie and Ricky, callin my name is some eggs with cheese and do I got some Bunnies to please.

***The final 4:21 of the Bullet and the Lightning Express taking on Jimmy Golden, Arn Anderson, and Jerry Stubbs is shown as Jimmy Golden pinned the Alabama Champion after Ron Fuller’s cane once again managed to find its way into the action***
Ron Fuller: Now if it’s one thing I can’t stand Charlie Platt, its excuses! And it sure seems like you and Stewart are out here giving the Armstrong’s a great many excuses. The fact is that my cousin Jimmy Golden is simply a better rassler than the Bullet. He is better than all the Armstrong’s on his worst day. And this Friday night he is gon’a put a whoopin’ on the Bullet.
Anderson: It’s been no secret in anybody’s mind, that Jerry Stubbs and myself are the best tag team in wrestling today. We prove it night in, and night out by defeating the best competition in the world. Not only do we win matches, we leave impressions. Now with that being said, Brad Armstrong and Tim Horner are a helluva team. They have proven they have more guts than brains when they took the Nitemares best shot and ran em out of the Southeast. But boys, you’re biting off a bit more than you can chew against the Perfection Connection. And this Friday night, Jerry Stubbs and I, are going to make sure you choke on it.

Platt and Stewart welcome us back to the studio and say they have one more special treat before ending the show with some more great action. Here is a special word from TOMMY ‘WILDFIRE’ RICH!
Rich: They say the summer’s are hotter in the South, and I’m all faaared up to be coming a lil further South. Starkville is a Tommy Rich kinda town, and I got a big, bad Japanese great waiting on. Great Tenryu is big and bad, but this one is all about the NWA’s top 10, and I plan on getting a crack at Ric Flair myself, so Tenryu better bring Godzilla with him to put this Wildfire out!
***final 5:22 of Austin Idol and the Bullet vs Arn Anderson and Jerry Stubbs Championship Showcase Main Event from the 7/12 Tuscaloosa show airs. The match ended with Buzz Sawyer, Matt Borne, Jimmy Golden, Brad Armstrong, Tim Horner, and Scott Armstrong all getting involved and brawling all over the endzone.***
