Announcer: Lance Russell
Referees: Paul Neighbors & Jerry Calhoun.
-1- Billy Joe Travis pinned Dave “Fit” Finlay at 10:28 with a sunset flip off the top rope.
-2- Sweet Sensation: Stan Lane & Shawn Michaels defeated The Interns: 1 & 2 at 6:01 when Lane connected with a super kick on Intern #2.
-3- Lanny Poffo pinned Phil Hickerson at 9:01 when he came off the top rope with a moonsault splash to score the win.
-4- Terry Taylor wrestled The Masked Superstar to a 15:00 time limit draw. Two tough competitors put on a tremendous, evenly-matched bout.
INTERMISSION
-5- ”Macho Man” Randy Savage pinned Killer Khan (w/ Scandor Akbar) at 14:13 when Savage came off the top rope with two brutal elbow drops on Killer Khan to score a definitive win over his rival. These two fought all over the ring and Savage shed blood after being sent head-first into the guard rail by Khan. However, the Macho Man rebounded and was able to defeat his rival with two elbow drops off the top rope
-6- ”Superstar” Bill Dundee & Koko B. Ware defeated CWA Heavyweight Champion Jerry “The King” Lawler and ”Wildfire” Tommy Rich at 19:34 when Dundee managed to roll up Rich after Koko B. Ware blind-sided Wildfire with a flying dropkick off the top rope. Lawler cleared the ring after the match and helped Rich up. Koko and the Superstar seemed to barely coexist in this match, but they were able to score a major win one week ahead of the #1 contender’s tournament.
-7- NWA World Heavyweight Champion Ric Flair defeated Southern Heavyweight Champion Ted Dibiase by count-out at 33:11. The two best workers in North America put on an incredible match, with near falls and both men trying to apply the Figure Four at various times. Ted Dibiase really works over Flair’s right knee, clearly trying to set the champion up for submission. Dibiase even locks in the hold, but somehow Flair is able to get the ropes. Dibiase is fed up, and now he reaches into his tights and pulls out the black glove in full view of referee Paul Morton. Morton is threatening to disqualify Dibiase if he uses the glove, but now Ted is bullying Morton and making his own threats! The CWA investor is trying to throw his weight around in order to steal the NWA Title like he stole the Southern Title last week! However, out races Dutch Mantell and he climbs onto the apron and grabs Dibiase’s fist. Mantell pulls the black glove right off Dibiase’s hand! Ted Dibiase is throwing a fit here and reaches through the ropes, but now Ric Flair knees him in the back from behind and out tumbles Dibiase to the floor where he bashes his head on the concrete. Dibiase is out cold on the floor and a laughing Dutch Mantell looks on as the referee makes the 10 count! Ric Flair retains the belt with a count-out win! A furious Tom Renesto is out after the bell to bully Paul Morton and then he goes to help a dazed Dibiase up. When Ted Dibiase realizes what happened, he throws a fit! Meanwhile, Flair grabs his title belt and gets out of dodge.
