Announcer: Lance Russell
Referees: Paul Neighbors & Jerry Calhoun.
-1- Billy Joe Travis pinned Barry O at 6:52 when he came off the top rope with a cross-body block.
-2- Killer Khan (w/ Scandor Akbar) defeated Phil Hickerson at 8:04 when he put the big man out cold with the nerve hold that sent Lanny Poffo out on a stretcher last week. Akbar gloated about the “Macho Man” being nowhere to be found this week after the match!
-3- Sweet Sensation: Stan Lane & Shawn Michaels defeated The Wolverines: Dave “Fit” Finlay & Mark Rocco at 14:04 in a double strap match when Michaels managed to choke out Mark Rocco with the leather strap.
-4- Ted Dibiase defeated The Assassin at 15:55 when he forced a submission to the Indian Deathlock.
INTERMISSION
-5- Southern Tag Team Champions Tommy “Wildfire” Rich & ”Handsome” Jimmy Valiant fought The First Family: Big Bubba Rogers & “Wild” Bill Irwin (w/ Jimmy Hart) to a double disqualification at 10:03 when all four men refused to stop brawling in the ring. Hart tossed Bill Irwin his rope, and Irwin used the cowbell to brain Tommy Rich from behind. Big Bubba Rogers managed to tie Jimmy Valiant into the ropes, and then held Rich as Irwin drew his blood by scraping that cowbell against his flesh. Thankfully, Terry Taylor arrived on the scene with a steel chair. Irwin cleared out, but Bubba charged, only to get a chair across the forehead. Bubba was dazed, but did not fall and began charging again. A second chair shot and down went Big Bubba Rogers. Irwin and Hart pulled him out to the floor, but Big Bubba was furious and had to be dragged away by his partner. An untied Valiant and Taylor then tended the bloodied Tommy Rich.
-6- CWA Heavyweight Champion Jerry “The King” Lawler pinned ”Superstar” Bill Dundee at 19:34 with a roll-up. Things started civilly between these two, but it quickly devolved into a huge brawl. Lawler was able to kick out of the Bomb’s Away, while Dundee surprised the entire arena by kicking out of The King’s flying fist drop. Bill Dundee finally got frustrated and grabbed a chair from ringside and rolled back into the ring. He went to swing it, but referee Jerry Calhoun grabbed the chair. A tug of war developed, allowing The King to deck Dundee, roll him up and pull the tights for good measure from out of the view of the referee to score a win! Lawler smiled as he grabbed his belt and celebrated with the fans around ringside, while Dundee threw a fit in the ring, kicking the ropes and screaming that Lawler had cheated.
-7- Southern Heavyweight Champion Dutch Mantell pinned Koko B. Ware (w/ Jimmy Hart) at 23:05 when Ware missed a flying dropkick off the top rope and was then dropped with a hangman’s neckbreaker by Mantell Koko B. Ware showed himself to be a true future superstar in a heavily competitive title match against The Dutchman. Ware scored several near falls that had his manager Jimmy Hart in a frenzy, but Mantell managed to fight back each time. After the pin, The Dutchman got on the microphone and put over Koko B. Ware as a hell of a challenger, and then mentioned that he hoped that Ric Flair saw footage of this match and now knows that Mantell is ready for his title shot.
