AWA Catchup month of June

Its been a crazy month, with my wife giving birth to our son at the beginning of the month, going to post a catchup for June and then hit it hard in July.




-After getting the control of the AWA title contracts, FLOYD CREATCHMEN sends all of his players club guys after BACKLUND. Bob turns back challenges from Larry Z, Bock and Ray Stevens. Sometimes facing two in one night. Floyd is frustrated that his guys could not take the title right away and is promising to make Backlund have to face two on one challenges in the future.


-DOCTOR DEATH is having his own problems with his former mentor BOB ROOP. They have battled so far across AWA country in Milwaukee, St. Paul and Chicago with Doc unable to get a decisive victory. Doc is going to try and grab some guidance soon.

-ROAD WARRIORS have had trouble with BRUISER BRODY and NORD THE BARBARIAN in the battle for the AWA Tag Titles. It has been wild brawls all over the area, with no clear winner coming out of it. Paul Ellering keeps sending in video messages to AWA tv vowing that the Sheik's tandem will run the Roadies out of the AWA and collect on the bounty. No DQ matches and Street Fights will be coming up to get some results.


-The AWA International title scene is heating up. MIL MASCARAS is not only being challenged by RICK MARTEL but also MR SAITO so far he has been able to beat both men, but the action is getting hot and heavy and this summer is going to prove to be a wild one.


-After injuring TITO SANTANA's knee, GREG VALENTINE is parading around the AWA bragging about it. Tito sent in video of his surgery and recovery for AWA tv and now he is turning up in the crowd for every Valentine match, just showing Greg that he is still around. CURT HENNIG has taken up for his fallen friend and is battling Valentine all over the area.


-SUPERSTAR BILLY GRAHAM has been challenged by HONKY TONK MAN after embarassing him at Wrestlerock. They have done battle all over the area with Graham winning very convincingly every time.

First off, congrats on the addition to your family!

You've set up some really interesting things here, particularly the Roadies vs Brody & Nord, that's the type of match that really hooked me as a wrestling fan IRL, wild brawlers just kicking the holy hell out of each other!

Superstar Graham and Honky is an interesting program, they're two of the more entertaining wrestlers I've seen, and even if the matches themselves weren't all that good, I think the promos from those two would be more than enough to attract the fans to the shows.

Valentine vs Hennig is a dream match for me, I can't wait to see (read) their matches.

I bet he is a little powderkeg. LOL. Congrats, as well.

Backlund is showing he still has it. Williams going after his mentor and experiencing problems is tried and true booking. I can expect some strategy adjustments and a comeback from Honky. My fav angle here is Hennig/Valentine. Greg boasting about breaking the leg of Santana is so much like the real life deal with Wahoo. Warms my heart.
