*CWA co-match maker Tom Renesto announced that he had signed a championship bout for later in the show between Southern Tag Team Champions Sweet Sensation and The PYT Express. Eddie Marlin makes his way out and questions the match, after the attack by The Wolverines on Sweet Sensation last Monday. Renesto says he is sure that Lane and Michaels are fighting champions, and so he has signed the match. Marlin argues his point, but out come Ted Dibiase and Jerry Jarrett to break up the tension.
*Southern Heavyweight Champion Dutch Mantell is told that he will face Phil Hickerson this Monday night. Mantell says that there is no rest for the weary and he is ready to take on Hickerson this Monday night. Mantell says he is looking forward to taking on all comers and earning a shot at the NWA World Heavyweight Champion Ric Flair. Mantell says he has respect for Flair, but he fully believes that The Nature Boy will lose that 15 pounds of gold if he comes to Memphis.
*”Macho Man” Randy Savage is a lunatic as usual with his taped-up arm as he rants about wanting Killer Khan again this Monday. Lanny Poffo and Miss Eizabeth try to calm him down, but Savage will not leave until he gets a match with Khan. Tom Renesto makes his way out and says that Savage has to wait a week before he is medically cleared – and that is non-negotiable. However, Renesto is happy to gave Lanny Poffo a match with Khan. Lanny says he is ready for a war, while a furious “Macho Man” Randy Savage promises that he will get his revenge against Khan.
*Jerry “The King” Lawler talks to Lance Russell about his dual rivalries with both Jake “The Snake” Roberts and Bill “Supersar” Dundee. Lawler says first things first and it is time to settle this feud with Roberts. He has asked for and received a Last Man Standing match with Jake Roberts next week at the Mid-South Coliseum. It will settle this feud once and for all. However, he has heard that this Monday, Jake Robets will challenge Bill Dundee for the CWA Heavyweight Title. He hopes that they beat the hell out of each other – and leave just enough for The King himself to finish the job!
Match Results
1) Billy Joe Travis pinned The Sidewinder at 6:11 when he came off the second rope with a sunset flip.

4) Dutch Mantell pinned King Cobra at 6:56 when he connected with a hangman’s neckbreaker.
5) The PYT Express: Koko B. Ware & Norvell Austin (w/ Jimmy Hart) defeated Southern Tag Team Champions Sweet Sensation: Stan Lane & Shawn Michaels to win the belts at 10:29 when Ware rolled up Michaels to score the pin. Both Michaels and Lane came in injured, and their introduction was interrupted by The Wolverines attacking them from behind. Both teams fought for a while, until officials separated them. The PYT Express then attacked from behind and used their advantage to steal the win and the titles. Tommy Rich and Jimmy Valiant hit the ring after the match to prevent The Wolverines and The PYT Express from committing a 4-on-2 attack.

6) Killer Khan (w/ Scandor Akbar) defeated Lanny Poffo at 12:04 with the nerve hold when Poffo had to submit. An injured “Macho Man” Randy Savage attacked Khan after the match and got the better of him for a moment, until Scandor Akbar bashed him across the shoulder with his walking stick. Khan then stomped on Savage a bit, before being pulled away by Akbar. “Macho Man” Randy Savage was furious when he got to his feet.
7) Jake “The Snake” Roberts pinned CWA Heavyweight Champion ”Superstar” Bill Dundee at 19:45 when Roberts connected with the DDT on Dundee, after the Masked Superstar drilled Dundee with the belt on the back of the head behind the referee’s back. Lawler just nods his head in disgust and walks out of the ring.

Major Events:
*Jake “The Snake” Roberts and Jerry “The King” Lawler both spoke about their Last Man Standing Match – which is now for the CWA Title. Roberts says he calls the match “Lawler’s Last Stand” because he has utterly failed to rid CWA of The Snake like he promised that he would do when he returned in February. This Monday, Roberts will prove that the DDT is more dangerous than the pile-driver – and then promises to send The King out of the Mid South Coliseum in an ambulance for the second time. Lawler tells Roberts that he can boast all he wants – but this Monday night, this feud ends once and for all. It’s been more than six months in the making and the time is now to end this blood feud. The winner goes on to glory, and the loser might not even go on.
*Jimmy Hart is gregarious as he boasts about the recent win by Big Bubba Rogers over the One Man Gang, who has now left town! Hart also praises the brand new Southern Tag Team Champions the PYT Express. Now, Hart has heard that there will be a six-man tag team match this Monday when the PYTs and Big Bubba team up against Jimmy Valiant, Tommy Rich and a mystery partner. Hart jokes that nobody in their right mind would team up with Rich and Valiant against the most dominant incarnation of the First Family ever! Lance Russell disagrees and says he thinks Rich and Valiant might have an ace up their sleeve.
*”Macho Man” Randy Savage wants to know why a match hasn’t been signed between himself and Killer Khan for this Monday night – like Tom Renesto promised last week. Renesto comes out and says that he still isn’t sure that Savage is ready for action – despite what the doctor says. So he is going to insist that Savage sit out one more week. Randy is furious and tells Renesto that no suit is going to keep him out of the ring! Renesto disagrees and says he is only considering Randy’s own interest – so he has signed a match for Monday between Killer Khan and Billy Joe Travis! Savage is furious, but out comes Ted Dibiase to calm things down. Dibiase says he has great respect for Savage and he will promise that if Savage rests this week, he will be sure he can get back into the ring next week. Macho Man gets in Ted Dibiase’s face and warns the CWA investor not to try to screw him over.
*Southern Heavyweight Champion Dutch Mantell talks to Lance Russell about his win over Phil Hickerson. In big news, Mantell announces that Japanese superstar Rikki Choshu is coming to Memphis this Monday to challenge for the Southern Title. Mantell says all the biggest stars are coming to CWA because they see that this is the territory where you can get notice from the NWA. Mantell knows that Choshu is as tough as they come, but he’ll be real dejected on that long flight back to Japan because he will come up empty hands this Monday night.

3) Terry Taylor pinned Phil Hickerson at 9:34 with the flying forearm smash known as the Five Arm.
4) Sweet Sensation: Stan Lane & Shawn Michaels pinned The Spiders: Tarantula & Recluse at 7:34 when Michaels came off the top rope with a flying splash on Tarantula.

2) Stan Lane pinned Mark Rocco at 10:17 when he connected with the super kick and got the big win.
3) Dave Finlay pinned Shawn Michaels at 8:45 when he connected with the senton splash off the second rope.
4) Killer Khan (w/ Scandor AKbar[/b] defeated Billy Joe Travis at 6:14 by disqualification when “Macho Man” Randy Savage ran in and began brawling with Killer Khan. Akbar went to once again bash Macho Man with the cane, but this time Lanny Poffo grabbed the weapon out of Akbar’s hands. Tom Renesto, Jerry Jarrett, Ted Dibiase, Eddie Marlin and a bunch of wrestlers were soon in the ring to separate Savage and Khan. Ted Dibiase was nodding his head in disapproval – clearly upset that Savage didn’t listen to his request from last weekend.
INTERMISSION
5) Southern Heavyweight Champion Dutch Mantell pinned Rikki Choshu at 15:03 when Mantell ducked a running lariat and caught him with a neckbreaker to score the big win over a major international contender.
6) Tommy “Wildfire” Rich, ”Handsome” Jimmy Valiant and their mystery partner Terry Taylor defeated The First Family: Big Bubba Rogers & The PYT Express (w/ Jimmy Hart) at 17:34 when Tommy Rich connected with the Lou Thesz Press on Koko Ware to score the pin. Terry Taylor was fired up and managed to put up a heck of a fight against the much larger Big Bubba throughout the match.
7) Jerry “The King” Lawler defeated CWA Heavyweight Champion Jake “The Snake” Roberts to win the belt at 24:45 when Roberts could not answer the 10 count. Roberts and Lawler began brawling even before Lance Russell finished the introduction and proceeded to fight all over the arena. Roberts appeared to have the win in hand early on when he sent Lawler head-first into the steel ring post on the floor, but The King was able to reach is feet before the count completed. Lawler was woozy and seemed to be in serious trouble – and then Roberts connected with the DDT in the center of the ring. Jake smiled as he realized that it was all over now and he slid back into the corner. Lawler seemed out of it, but somehow began to stir as shock washed over Jake’s face. Lawler somehow got to his feet at the count of nine and put up his dukes. Roberts angrily charged, but Lawler decked him once – twice – pulled the strap down – and decked him a third time sending Roberts sprawling! Lawler then connected with an atomic drop and grabbed a steel chair. The King now grabbed a steel chair and drilled Roberts with it. Jake was down, but somehow managed to get to his feet by the count of eight. Lawler then booted him, scooped him up and connected with a pile-driver right on the steel chair as the fans went nuts! Roberts was out – but here comes The Masked Superstar. Superstar tries to roll in the ring, but Bill Dundee is right behind him and yanks him right out of the ring. Dundee sends the Masked Superstar head-first into the ring steps as referee Jerry Calhoun completes the 10 count in the ring! Jerry “The King” Lawler wins this war of attrition after six months and takes back the CWA Heavyweight Title! Tommy Rich, Terry Taylor and Jimmy Valiant hit the ring to celebrate with Lawler, as Bill Dundee just looks on and then walks off.

*CWA Heavyweight Champion Jerry “The King” Lawler sends in a VTR – he is in Hawaii on vacation this week. Lawler says it took six months, but he put Jake “The Snake” Roberts down for the count – quite literally. Lawler says in his mind, all roads now lead to the NWA Heavyweight Title. Lawler says he is going to relax and enjoy himself on the islands this week, but next week he will be back and ready to hit the ground running against the very best that CWA has to offer. He’s spent too long being sidetracked with Jake Roberts, and now it’s time for The King to bring the NWA Heavyweight Title to the people of Memphis.
*Bill Dundee tells Lance Russell that he got involved last Monday night because just like he has always said – he hates Jake Roberts and didn’t want to see his crony help The Snake steal another win. This Monday night, Dundee has his own chance to settle things against Jake Roberts in a strap match. Dundee says just like The King, he plans to settle all of his business with The Snake this Monday. He plans to take that strap and choke the life out of The Snake and hopefully send him out of CWA once and for all. Then, he has his own sights sets on the NWA World title. Make no mistake, he is not afraid of going through Jerry Lawler, Dutch Mantell or anyone else to get there.
*”Macho Man” Randy Savage is back out to demand a match with Killer Khan, but soon here comes Ted Dibiase, Tom Renesto and a seemingly frustrated Eddie Marlin. Renesto tells Savage that everyone has been trying to protect his value to the promotion by giving him time to heal fully, and Macho Man clearly does not have his own best interests at heart! Tom says that he cannot reward Savage for interrupting a match last week so he cannot give Savage a match with Khan this week. Savage gets right in Renesto’s face, but Dibiase steps in to try to calm Savage down. Renesto tells Savage that he has been left no choice but to ban Macho Man and Lanny Poffo from the Coliseum this Monday for the rematch between Killer Khan and Billy Joe Travis. Renesto says all Savage has to do is stay away this Monday and then next week, he will be reinstated and get his match with Khan. Savage is ranting and raving, and eventually has to be led away by Dibiase and a bunch of prelim wrestlers.
*Sweet Sensation are out now and they discuss their feud with The Wolverines. Stan Lane tells Dave Brown that this rivalry has gotten very intense very quickly. He and Shawn Michaels have not forgotten that it was The Wolverines who cost them the Southern Tag Team Titles. This has become very personal and so this Monday, it will be a double taped fist match where all four men with have their fists tape. Shawn Michaels says he wants his taped fists to be blood red by the end of the match. Lane adds that he and Shawn might not have come from the mean streets of Northern Ireland, but they have proven that they can brawl with the best of them.
*Terry Taylor does a quick promo about his match with Big Bubba Rogers this Monday night. Taylor says he’s made a career out of proving that the bigger they are, the harder they fall. Tom Renesto and Eddie Marlin are back out, and Marlin says he actually is happy to be here for this segment. There has been some negotiation with NWA president Jim Crockett – and the World Heavyweight Champion Ric Flair will be here for two matches in Memphis. First, he will face the winner of this week’s Southern Heavyweight Title match between Dutch Mantell and Mexican Heavyweight Champion El Canek. Then in August, the champion will face the winner of an upcoming tournament. Renesto then hints that he is working to bring the very best here to CWA to take part in that tournament – even people here in CWA that perhaps aren’t being used to the fullest of their abilities. Marlin seems confused by that statement as the segment comes to a close.

1) Phil Hickerson pinned Eric Spraccia at 7:45 with a running knee drop across the throat.
2) Killer Khan (w/ Scandor Akbar) defeated Billy Joe Travis at 5:04 when he forced the rookie to submit to the nervehold. Khan refused to release the hold after the match, and then suddenly two security guards jumped the guard rail and rolled into the ring. One of the security guards pounced on Khan and began trading rights and lefts. Soon, he ripped off the helmet to reveal… “Macho Man” Randy Savage. The other security guard revealed himself to be Lanny Poffo, who held off Akbar. Khan and Savage once again brawled all over the ring, until Eddie Marlin, Tom Renesto, Ted Dibiase and actual security guards hit the ring. Renesto had a furious Savage and Poffo handcuffed and ejected from the Mid South Coliseum.
3) The Wolverines: Dave Finlay & Mark Rocco defeated Sweet Sensation: Stan Lane & Shawn Michaels at 13:09 in the taped fist match when Finlay managed to un-tape his right hand and slide a metal object in. He then taped it back up quickly and knocked out Shawn Michael with a right hand. The Wolverines steal a win over Sweet Sensation!
4) Southern Tag Team Champions The PYT Express: Koko B. Ware & Norvell Austin fought Tommy “Wildfire” Rich and ”Handsome” Jimmy Valiant at 15:00 to a time limit draw. The PYT Express retained the gold.
INTERMISSION
5) Big Bubba Rogers (w/ Jimmy Hart) defeated Terry Taylor at 10:04 when Taylor decked Big Bubba with Jimmy Hart’s megaphone. Rogers wobbled around as the referee called for the bell, only for Taylor to then connect with the Five Arm to knock Big Bubba through the ropes and out to the floor.
6) Southern Heavyweight Champion Dutch Mantell pinned Mexican Heavyweight Champion El Canek at 20:05 with a hangman’s neckbreaker to score a win over another major international challenger.
7) In a Strap Match, Bill Dundee defeated Jake “The Snake” Roberts at 18:48 by choking out the Snake with the leather strap. Roberts used every trick in the book to try to gain the upper hand, but just could not get Dundee down for the count. Roberts went for the DDT, but Dundee whipped the strap up to give The Snake a groin shot. Dundee then connected with a suplex on Roberts, wrapped the strap around his neck and choked him until Roberts passed out from the pain. Dundee was victorious – finally getting his own revenge on The Snake. The Masked Superstar was not at ringside for the match.
