Round 1 Action:


Black Gordman & El Gran Marcus (5) defeated Tim Talltree & Terry Simms (12) when Gordman pinned Simms off the Diamond Twist at 3:28. Gordman & Marcus move on to face Jose Lothario & Dos Caras (3) in round 2. 

The Masked Nightmares (7) defeated Manuel Villalobos & Jesse Hernandez (11) when Nightmare # 1 pinned Hernandez off a double stomp at 5:16. Nightmares move onto to face Bruiser Bob Sweetan & Eric Embry (1) in round 2.

Chicky Starr & Wild Bull Ayala (6) defeated The Hood & The Assassin (10) w/ Dr. Paul Christy & Bunny Love when Ayala made the Assassin submit to a full nelson at 12:40. Starr & Ayala move onto face Japanese Force (4) in round 2. 

Hussian Unlimted: "Iron" Mike Sharpe & Hacksaw Higgins (8) w/ Arman Hussian defeated Skip Young & "Hillbilly" Cousin Luke (9) when Sharpe pinned Young off a loaded forearm smash at 9:50. Higgins & Sharpe move onto face American Force (2) in round 2.

Intermission

Voodoo Malumba w/ Arman Hussian defeated Tug Taylor via pinfall off a splash at 2:28.


Southwest Cup
Round 2 Action:

Black Gordman & El Gran Marcus (5) defeated "Super Sock" Jose Lothario & Dos Caras (3) when the referee David Cantu deemed Lothario unable to continue at 11:56. Our champion's rib injuries come into play. More on this in weeks to come. 

"Bruiser" Bob Sweetan & "Flamboyant" Eric Embry (1) defeated The Masked Nightmares (7) when Sweetan pinned Nightmare #2 with a piledriver at 6:16. Sweetan & Embry move on to face Marcus & Gordman in the semi-finals. 

Japanese Force: KeyWada & Fooyuki (4) w/ Mr. Salto defeated Chicky Starr & Hercules Ayala after Salto tossed Salt in Starr's eyes allowing him to fall victim to a high/low from the Japanese at 17:27. Japanese Force move onto face the winners of our next match. 

American Force: Nick Kiniski & Joe Savoldi (2) defeated Hussian Unlimited: Mike Sharpe & Hacksaw Higgins (8) when Higgins is pinned off the American Way to send the fans home happy at 12:20. American Force faces Japanese force in the semi-finals.

Can't wait for the Forces to face each other. Can Sweetan and Embry trust each other? Lothario is a fav but can even he take all the punishment?

The Cup is providing some really interesting matches up and down the card. I would have really enjoyed the Sweetan/Embry vs The Nightmares match. Sweetan's pile-river really cannot be beat, it seems.

The Ayala/Starr team is really intriguing as well. I like what I've seen from both in WWC footage.
