Show starts as the AWA logo goes across the screen. We go to ringside where Rod Trongard and Rodger Kent are seated, they talk about Wrestlerock only 24 hours away at the Metrodome. Will Doctor Death retain his AWA belt against Bob Backlund, can Verne Gagne rid the AWA of Floyd Creatchmen, or will Creatchmen get to pick the AWA challenger. Will Road Warriors be able to take out the team that Paul Ellering has sent to destory them. They will see, but on today's show Rick Martel, Steve Keirn, Gagne/Roop are here along with a main event of Doc/Backlund/Superstar Graham vs. Players Club.
DOC DEATH and SUPERSTAR GRAHAM talk with Ken Resnick. They are pumped for the big match at the end of the hour, Superstar is convincing Doc that Backlund will do everything he can to help the team he will not take this opportunity to have Doc weakened for his match, Doc talks about how the jury on teaming with Backlund is still out but he knows Superstar has his back and he will do damage on the Players Club so that Verne and Bob have a better time at Wrestlerock.
STEVE KEIRN DEF. BORIS ZHUKOV via stump puller
BOB BACKLUND talks about how this next 24 hours are going to shape him, he is honored to team with Doc and Superstar, but he knows that this match could be dangerous for him. He has faced Superstar before and while they have a respect now, if it goes like in the past Graham could turn against him. Also with him facing Doc tommorrow, will Doc take his tags or let him get pounded on. He knows that the match is big tommorrow but today sets up for that.

ROAD WARRIORS come out and talk about how Paul Ellering is making it his mission to destroy them, but whoever is tossed their way, they will demolish and send them back to paul with their tail between their legs. Duncum and Mulligan will be just like the Samoans then Paul can send his next puppets.
RICK MARTEL DEF. MOONDOG REX via boston crab
MIL MASCARAS talks about how Rick Martel is honorable and it will be a hard fought match, he will come out on top and walk out of the Metrodome still with the AWA International title.

BLACKJACK MULLIGAN and BOBBY DUNCUM come out and talk about how the Road Warriors just do not know what is going to happen to them, Duncum talks about how Ellering is paying them handsomely to take them out and he wants more money funneling in. Mulligan talks about how this will setup their careers and get them title shots down the road.
VERNE GAGNE/BOB ROOP DEF. BRUISE BROTHERS when Roop hits a powerslam on Porkchop Cash.
RICK MARTEL talks about how all of the great AWA fans should come out tommorrow to the Metrodome, so they can watch a classic match involving he and Mil Mascaras. It will be hard fought, but Rick is going to come out on top and take the belt away from Mil.

CURT HENNIG talks about Mr Saito, this will be a brutal battle and he has to win it. Saito will try and destroy him at every turn. Curt is going to channel his father, and will get through this challenge so he can go after the AWA belt. Curt is ready and Saito had better be too.
DOC DEATH/ BOB BACKLUND/SUPERSTAR GRAHAM vs. PLAYERS CLUB w/FLOYD CREATCHMEN
The six men stare across the ring at each other. Once the bell rings, Doc starts off and works over all three members of the club. He hits many strength moves and will not let up. He tags in Backlund who delivers hold for hold against Ray Stevens wearing him down. When Superstar is tagged in, he wears him down further. Backlund comes back in and is trying to get the pin, when Stevens moves out of the way of a charge and Backlund hits the mat. Stevens keeps wearing him down now and tags out to Larry Z. Larry uses a rest hold that angers the fans and keeps Backlund close to the mat. Bockwinkel tags in and gives him more of the same and even catches him in the figure four, trying to make his submit. Backlund keeps fighting trying to get out of it, but he cannot. Bock keeps on him and cinches it in harder. This time Bob fights down deeper and reverses the hold. This brings in the other two Player's Club to do battle with Doc and Graham. All Six men brawl. Doc hits the Oklahoma Stampede on Stevens. Then he goes and brawls with Larry Z on the outside of the ring. Superstar is brawling with Bock on the other side of the ring. Backlund cinches in the crossface chicken wing and Stevens submits.
After the match, Backlund raises Doc's arm and then shake hands as Billy slaps hands with both of them.
VERNE GAGNE is in the back with Roop, Verne is smiling ear to ear and talks about how it is going to be a great night of wrestling action tommorrow night. He talks about after getting rid of Floyd Creatchmen, and no matter what the outcome tommorrow, there will be a rematch of Doc vs. Backlund. Roop chimes in that he should get a title match, but Verne just laughs telling him that Doc is a great protege for Roop because he is in better shape and would make a better champion. He talks about how Roop could battle any member of the Players Club all over the area. Roop just puts his head down as Ken Resnick signs off, the credits roll and screen fades to black.
