When we last left Texas All Star Wrestling "Bruiser" Bob Sweetan was on top as Texas All Star Heavyweight Champion, the young and mysterious high flyer known as the Cheetah Kid was coming into his own as Television Champion, and Percy Pringle's Fabulous Blondes (Eric Embry & Ken Timbs) were seemingly unbeatable as tag team champions, and we were awaiting the arrival of the sinfully seductive: Fallen Angel So what's happened since then?
Art Crews STEALS the TASW Heavyweight Title, BUT JOSE LOTHARIO steps up and wins the gold!
The end of February saw the long awaited arrival of the Fallen Angel at the Freeman Coliseum, as she would show up in the corner of Bruiser Bob Sweetan as he battled Art Crews. In the end however, it was all a ruse as she would spray hairspray in the eyes of our defending champion allowing Crews to take home the title AND the girl when all was said and done. Crews reign wouldn't last long however as an imprompt challenge was made on an episode of TV by the returning "Super Sock" Jose Lothario. Crews looked to finish Jose off late in the match with a chain wrapped fist, BUT Sweetan would show up and wrestle it away from his rival and toss it to Jose who quickly used said chain to knock Crews lights out and win the gold! Crews and Sweetan would feud for months, until two weeks ago where Sweetan ran him out of town in a Texas Death Match at the Freeman Coliseum. Where does this leave the Angel? Who knows. Lothario however feuded with El Gran Marcus & Black Gordman for much of April before moving onto a program with Arman Hussian's charges: Hacksaw Higgins & most recently "Iron" Mike Sharpe.

Black Gordman would return to the area in March and almost right away take the TV title from the Cheetah Kid. Since then the title hasn't been defended at all, BUT it's been pointed out week after week after week. WELL finally he's being forced to defend said title against the returning Chicky Starr come this weekends TV.
NOT SO FABULOUS ANYMORE....
For months and months, Percival Pringle touted his Fabulous Blondes as THE most dominant tag team in the world. And perhaps they were as there was no pairing that could wrestle away the gold... that is until two weeks ago at the Freeman Coliseum when the recently dubbed "American Force": Nick Kiniski & Joe Savoldi managed to score the major upset and take home the gold. Ken Timbs & Percy haven't been seen SINCE, where as Embry has been on TV claiming to be a "CHANGED MAN" and has gone as far as ENDORSING THE NEW CHAMPIONS! Can Eric Embry be trusted? Only time will tell.
The Southwest Texas Cup
Starting June the 6th and finishing June the 13th the Freeman Coliseum will be hosting the biggest tag team tournament in West Texas History, with the GRAND PRIZE of...
25,000 DOLLARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
12 teams from all over the world will vie for the prize, with top four seeded teams receiving byes in the first round (first and second rounds taking place the 6th; and tournament finishing the 12th). Surprisingly the Blondes recieved the number 1 seed, BUT since Ken Timbs isn't around Embry was allowed to select a new partner... his choice? BRUISER BOB SWEETAN!!! Sweetan was apprehensive at first, but just couldn't turn down the chance for 25,000 dollars! He has however told Embry that if he double crosses 'em then there's a piledriver in his future.
