David: That’s right Tony, it’s gonna be a great show with only the best professional wrestling has to offer, the major league in professional wrestling.
Dick Slater comes walking up and joins Bob and David.
David: And speaking of THE BEST in professional wrestling, here is one of the absolute best, “Dirty” Dick Slater!!
Dick Slater: Tony Schaivone, David Crockett, I am out here to talk about one thing and one thing only, Fido McDaniel. You see this dog collar? This dog collar tells you exactly what I think about Fido, you see he used to be a man, a man’s man, someone I respected. I thought we saw a glimpse of that man coming back when he shook Ricky Steamboat’s hand back at Starrcade, but I see that was just a momentary thing. Fido, you don’t like me calling you Fido, you don’t like me carrying around this dog collar, why then why don’t you do something about it? Why don’t you step up and show me you are a man, the man I used to respect, and not just Tully Blanchard’s lap dog. If you really want to prove to me you aren’t what I been saying you are, then I know just the way for you to prove it. A DOG COLLAR MATCH!!!!!! I’ll be waiting to hear your answer.
Tony: What a challenge from Dick Slater fans!!! What a way to open the show, let’s go to the ring for our first match!!!

David: We’ve been joined by the NWA World Tag Team Champions The Koloffs along with Don Kerndole. Ivan……you have been the Champions for 6 months now……but with so many teams coming for you………..with the best AMERICA has to offer coming for you………..those titles may not be yours for much longer.
Ivan Koloff: David Crockett, I hear hope in your voice, hope that someone can take these World Tag Team Titles away from nephew Nikita and I but I am afraid that you are in for disappointment. You have these National Tag Team Champions Thunderbolt Patterson and a man who used to be my comrade Ole Anderson trying to take these World Tag Team Titles away from us, you have a man who was out here just a short while ago, this Dick Slater trying to find a partner to take these titles away from us, but Dick Slater needs to remember what happened to the last partner that he had. Just look at the men Nephew Nikita and I have put out of the NWA, men like Jimmy Valiant, men like Ricky Steamboat they have all fallen before superior Russian athletes and this will continue to happen again and again as long as foolish Americans try to take these titles away.
Nikita: Ole Anderson, Thunderbolt Patterson, Dick Slater, you men are…….how do you say…………Очень глупо… very stupid. You want to get into ring with Uncle Ivan and Nikita, you want to try and take World Tag Team Titles, I hear lot of big talk, but I know in your mind you are scared, you are scared of Uncle Ivan, you are scared of Nikita you are scared of being like Jimmy Valiant of being like Ricky Steamboat…Вы страшно умереть! David: Now the one man I want to talk to, the one man I want some answers from is YOU DON KERNDOLE!!!! I wanna know how someone who calls himself THE PRIDE OF THE USA can carry around that Russian Flag and act as a…a….STOOGE for these two men!?!?
David sticks the microphone in Kerndole’s face and Ivan snatches it away before Kerndole can talk.
Ivan: David Crockett, who are you anyway? You are showing no respect by asking this man questions, if you have questions for Comrade Don Kernodle you ask Ivan Koloff, you deserve no answer but I will give you one. Comrade Don Kernodle is with Nephew Nikita and I because he recognizes that we are the very best. We are not like these other American wrestlers, we aren’t allot of big talk, we are superior in every way and Comrade Kernodle is hoping to one day be able to be considered almost as good as us. That is why he carries the flag, that is why he is at ringside to learn how to be a superior athlete. Now this interview is over.
Kernodle doesn’t look all that pleased with Ivan not allowing him to talk, nor Ivan’s explanation, but he leaves with the World Tag Team Champions anyway.

David: We’re back….and later on……our main event….”Avalanche” Buzz Tyler takes on this man…. The man who THINKS he has what it takes to be the World Heavyweight Champion Jimmy Garvin!

Jimmy: David Crockett, do you EVER get tired of hearing yourself talk. YAP, YAP, YAP, YAP!! You’re worse than that small dog Squeeze has!! You know I used to think your brother was a pretty smart business man but I am starting to wonder why a smart man would put YOU on television to drive people crazy. It just doesn’t make any sense. You know what else doesn’t make any sense? The fact that I am in a match with Buzz Tyler of all people instead of Ric Flair. Everyone knows I have Ric Flair’s number, everyone knows he’s running scared, he’s trying to buy time, he’s paying off promoters to keep me away from him, you know IT’S NOT MY FAULT that Ric Flair’s 15 minutes of fame are over!!!!
You know Squeeze it’s really a shame, a real crying shame that Ric Flair can’t accept it like a man that he’s time with the title is over. You know, he should accept that it’s time to go ahead and start moving back down the card and make way for the wrestler of the 80’s, the best looking man in all of wrestling, “Gorgeous” Jimmy Garvin. I mean everyone else knows it!!! Squeeze knows it, the fans know it, David Crockett your own mother knows it, I mean I just saw her the other day with a Jimmy Garvin T shirt on, it seems the only people that don’t know it is you and Ric Flair. I mean, ladies and gentlemen, it’s just so hard for me, it’s hard for me to have to be the bearer of bad news, to tell someone that their time is up when they just don’t want to accept it. And you know Squeeze, I been trying real hard, REAL HARD, not to hurt Ric Flair, but he isn’t making it very easy, I just don’t know what to do Squeeze because it looks like I am going to have to take the kid gloves off and start playing ROUGH with Ric Flair and that’s gonna make David over here start crying and then it’s gonna upset all the people to see David blubbering all over TV, it’s just allot of guilt to deal with ya know Squeeze?
Precious: I know Gorgeous, I know, come on baby, let’s get out of here and I’ll help you feel better.

Matchmaker Sandy Scott and NWA President Jim Crockett Jr. have joined David and Tony with a special announcement, a massive blockbuster card will be held July 4, 1985 in Charlotte, NC at the American Legion Memorial Stadium known as The Great American Bash!! They say one match has already been signed as Ric Flair will defend the NWA World Title against Jimmy Garvin, Jim Crockett says that if Wahoo McDaniel accepts Dick Slater’s challenge than that match will also be held on that card. Sandy Scott says every title will be on the line on this historic card and more matches will be revealed in the weeks to come!!

And since the man I will be facing later on has a shot at the World Title at the Great American Bash, I figure if I can whip him then that’ll put me right in line for a shot myself. David: ALRIGHT!!! Here he is and he is………..THE MAN…..here is The WORLD Heavyweight Champion……..”The Nature Boy” Ric Flair!!!
Ric Flair: Are my ears deceiving me, or was that PUNK Jimmy Garvin out here earlier saying that the Nature Boy’s time was up? Is that what he was saying David Crockett?
David: It’s what he said Champ!!!
Ric Flair: That’s what I thought, Garvin, LISTEN UP!!! People have been coming out here for YEARS saying that my time was up, and where are they now? They are all gone, and I’m still standing here with the ten pounds of gold styling and profiling like only I can. On October 4, 1975 I was in an airplane that crashed in Wilmington, North Carolina. That airplane crash ended the career of one the greatest wrestlers our sport has ever known, it ended the LIFE of the pilot and it broke my back, SHATTERED IT, to a point that they said I would be lucky to walk ever again, never mind wrestle. They said my time was up then, 18 YEARS AGO!!! I didn’t listen to them then, I made it back here and I won the greatest prize this sport has to offer!!!If a plane crash didn’t put me out Jimmy Garvin, what do you think you can do? HUH? Thunderbolt Patterson: The Great American Bash is here, and we gonna get funky at it. Koloffs, you running around here saying how great Russia is how wrasslers from Russia are so much better, well you get in the ring with me an Ole and we gonna whup you and eat you suckas for dinner!
Ole Anderson: Now first things, first, I heard those bikers, the MOD Squad out here a little earlier saying how they want Bolt and I at the Great American Bash, well that’s fine, they want to embarrass themselves by getting into the ring with us, they want to find out that hey, maybe they aren’t as tough as they think they are, well I am fine with that, I have been teaching bikers, football players, and other wrestlers their limitations for years and I am fine taking those two behind the woodshed as they say around here and showing them just how tough they really are.
As for Nikita and Ivan Koloff, let’s get one thing straight right away, Nikita Koloff you want to come out here, rip off your shirt, show you big muscle and tell everyone how strong you are. Well that’s OK, I am not going to take anything away from you, you ARE a physical specimen, you may very well be the strongest man not only in wrestling today but ever. Bolt and I aren’t going to win any bodybuilding contests, Ivan Koloff, you claim to be a superior athlete, well that might be true. You very well could be a better athlete than Bolt and I, we don’t go to the gym quite as much as we used to because we like to enjoy some of the things we have earned living in this great country and being as successful as we have for so long. So I am going to give those things to you Koloffs, you may be bigger, you may be stronger, you may be more athletic, but there is something ingrained into every American from the day they are born to the day that they die and that’s to never back down, to fight with everything you got!! I tell you this Koloffs, they say you can look into someone’s eyes and you can tell if they are putting one over on you, if they are BSing you, well go ahead and zoom that camera in on MY EYES AND SEE IF THERE IS ANY BS IN THEM WHEN I SAY THIS! Koloffs, I am going to tell you this, you are going to have to get into the ring with Bolt and I, and when you do, WHEN YOU DO, you are going to find out first hand just what an old fashion American butt whipping is all about!!
Tony: I was just informed before we came back from commercial that next week Ole, you and Thunderbolt will be putting your National Tag Team Titles on the line here on World Wide Wrestling against THE AWESOME TWOSOME, WAHOO MCDANIEL AND THE TELEVISION CHAMPION TULLY BLANCHARD!!!
Ole: What is it my cousin Ric Flair calls them, that’s right, THE GRUESOME TWOSOME. You know last year I had allot of things going that kept me away from this area, but when I would turn on the TV and see what was going on with my cousin and those two I’d pick up the phone and call him and say: Hey, why don’t I come down to Charlotte and help you take care of those two! But Ric would always say: Ole, it’s my fight and I am going to take care of it. And I respected that, the name might be different, but he has Anderson blood running through him and when someone from the Anderson family wants to handle something you step aside and you let them handle it. But the more I watched the more I was chomping at the bit to get my hands on the two of them. Now Tully Blanchard, you can’t take anything away from him, he is the Television Champion and that is no small feet, he’s held onto that title for what? A year now? Holding onto any title for any length of time is a major accomplishment, he’s a second generation wrestler so he knows what he is doing in that ring, Wahoo McDaniel? While I agree with Dickie Slater that Wahoo seems to not be the man he once was, he is still one of the toughest men to ever step foot in that ring, a man I have had wars with going back a decade!! So we know, WE KNOW, next week isn’t going to be a cake walk, but it’s not going to be one for the Gruesome Twosome either, you two better come ready to fight because we will and let me tell you something if you think you are going to take these National Titles from use then you got another thing coming!!!!

Estoy hasta la madre! I know I can beat you for the Television Title in a fair match, I KNOW IT!!! And I am going to PROVE it at the Great American Bash, IF YOU GOT THE GUTS!!!! You and me, one more time naco, ONE MORE TIME!!! You put your Television Title on the line, and if you beat me, if you find a way to crawl off with the title again, THEN I WILL LEAVE THE NWA!!! YOU HEAR ME BLANCHARD? YOUR TITLE REGIN OR MY NWA CARRER IF YOU GOT THE CAJONES TO ACCEPT THE CHALLENGE, ONE OF THEM WILL END AT THE GREAT AMERICAN BASH!!!!
David: I ……I can’t believe what I just heard…..it’s……..WHAT A CHALLENGE!!!! Hector Guerrero is willing to put his career in the NWA on the line against Tully Blanchard at the Great American Bash to get one more shot, one more chance at the NWA Television Title!!! Garvin totally underestimates Tyler when the match begins and pays for it as Tyler sends Garvin sailing all over the ring with punches, hip tosses and body slams. Garvin finally rolls out of the ring and begs for a time out as Precious runs over to help her man and David sends us to a commercial break!

Buzz Tyler is holds the ropes open for Garvin telling him to get back in the ring when we return from commercial break, finally Garvin rolls back into the ring and the two men go to lock up but Garvin reaches in and rakes Tyler’s eyes!!!!
Garvin now takes over on Tyler, nailing him with stiff forearms that back Tyler into the ropes. Tyler is lying against the ropes as Garvin pounds away on Tyler forearm after forearm, Garvin the whips Tyler into the ropes and tries for a running clothesline, but Tyler ducks!!!!! Garvin bounces off the ropes and Tyler leap frogs him, when Garvin comes back Tyler knocks him to the mat with a clothesline!!!!! Garvin scrambles to his feet and Tyler begins to unload on him with right hands bouncing Garvin around, Tyler then winds up and knocks Garvin down to the mat with his Sunday Punch!!! Garvin gets to his feet, but looks to be out of it, Tyler fires a few more punches before whipping Garvin into the ropes, Tyler ducks down to backdrop Garvin, but Garvin stops himself and goes to kick Tyler in the face, but Tyler catches Garvin foot!!!!!
Tyler is holding Garvin foot and Garvin is begging off, Tyler pushes Garvin foot away spinning Garvin around and the clocks Garvin with a double ax handle to the side of the head!!!!! Tyler goes for a cover but only gets a two count. Garvin scrambles away and gets to his feet, but Tyler gives chase and catches him in the corner, but Garvin is ready and kicks Tyler in the stomach and then slams Tyler's head into the top turnbuckle!!!! Garvin lays some heavy chops in on Tyler then goes to whip him into the opposite corner, but Tyler reverses it, wait Garvin reverses it again and Tyler crashes into the turnbuckle!!!! Garvin charges forward but Tyler moves at the last possible second and Garvin crashes into the corner!!!! Garvin staggers out of the corner and when he is in the center of the ring Tyler catches him with A KANSAS CITY SLAM!!!!!!!!!! COVER

GARVIN KICKS OUT!!!!
Precious jumps up on the apron and distracts Tyler, Tyler is telling Tommy Young to get Precious off the apron, giving Garvin enough time to try a sneak attack, but Tyler hears him coming and knocks him down with a punch to the face!!! Garvin is against the ropes and Tyler fires away, he whips Garvin off the ropes, but Garvin reverses it and then tries to land a clothesline, Tyler ducks under and comes back with a Body Avalanche!!!!!! Tyler goes for the cover !!!!!

GARVIN KICKS OUT AGAIN!!!!
Garvin crawls into the corner and Tyler goes right after him Tyler begins to hammer away on Garvin but Garvin starts to answer back!! Garvin rakes Tyler’s eyes again and then clotheslines him down to the mat!!!! Garvin grabs Tyler and starts to choke him using the second rope!!!!!! Referee Tommy Young backs Garvin off, but PRECIOUS!!! reaches up and starts to pull down on Tyler's head choking him!!!!!! Garvin pulls Tyler to his feet and whips him into the ropes, Garvin is planning on a clothesline but Tyler catches Garvin with a Running Lariat!!!!!! Garvin is just about knocked out of his boots!!! Tyler bounces off the ropes and hits a big splash!!! COVER!!!!!!

Tyler sees this and rolls out of the ring after Precious!!!! Precious is able to stay away from Tyler, she then crawls in the ring as Tyler almost catches her. Tyler follows Precious in and is meet by Garvin and a Flying Knee!!! Tyler goes down and Garvin begins to work over Tyler again. Garvin goes to pull Tyler to his feet, but Tyler catches him in a small package!!!!!

Tyler pulls Garvin up and sends him for the ride across the ring!!! Garvin crashes into the opposite corner, Tyler signals for the Avalanche Splash!!! Tyler charges, but GARVIN MOVES AT THE LAST SECOND!!! NO BODY HOME!!!!
Tyler is staggered!!! Garvin unleashes with chops, punches and kicks!!! Garvin grabs Tyler's head and slams it over and over again into the turnbuckle!!!!! Tyler's head is slightly busted open from the turnbuckle shots!!!!! Garvin drops Tyler with a brainbuster!!!!! Float over and cover!!!!

Garvin is putting the boots to Tyler after the match until BARON VON RASCHKE runs out to the ring!?!?! Garvin puts his hands up saying he wants no trouble and grabs Precious and the two leave, The Baron helps a bloody Tyler to his feet,
THEN LOCKS IN THE IRON CLAW?!?!
David: I….I don’t understand?! Tony………TONY!!!! What’s going on!?! Why would The Baron come out here to help Buzz Tyler only to attack him with the Claw!!!?!?
Tony: I don’t know David, but we aren’t going to have time to find out this week because WE ARE OUT OF TIME!!!
The credits roll as Tyler is down on the mat, Baron has the Claw locked on, a wild look in his eyes a blood pours from between his fingers!!!!

You have these National Tag Team Champions Thunderbolt Patterson and a man who used to be my comrade Ole Anderson trying to take these World Tag Team Titles away from us, you have a man who was out here just a short while ago, this Dick Slater trying to find a partner to take these titles away from us, but Dick Slater needs to remember what happened to the last partner that he had. Just look at the men Nephew Nikita and I have put out of the NWA, men like Jimmy Valiant, men like Ricky Steamboat they have all fallen before superior Russian athletes and this will continue to happen again and again as long as foolish Americans try to take these titles away.
Nikita: Ole Anderson, Thunderbolt Patterson, Dick Slater, you men are…….how do you say…………Очень глупо… very stupid. Comrade Don Kernodle is with Nephew Nikita and I because he recognizes that we are the very best. We are not like these other American wrestlers, we aren’t allot of big talk, we are superior in every way and Comrade Kernodle is hoping to one day be able to be considered almost as good as us. That is why he carries the flag, that is why he is at ringside to learn how to be a superior athlete. Now this interview is over.
Kernodle doesn’t look all that pleased with Ivan not allowing him to talk, nor Ivan’s explanation, but he leaves with the World Tag Team Champions anyway.

Everyone knows I have Ric Flair’s number, everyone knows he’s running scared, he’s trying to buy time, he’s paying off promoters to keep me away from him, you know IT’S NOT MY FAULT that Ric Flair’s 15 minutes of fame are over!!!!
You know Squeeze it’s really a shame, a real crying shame that Ric Flair can’t accept it like a man that he’s time with the title is over. You know, he should accept that it’s time to go ahead and start moving back down the card and make way for the wrestler of the 80’s, the best looking man in all of wrestling, “Gorgeous” Jimmy Garvin. I mean everyone else knows it!!! They say one match has already been signed as Ric Flair will defend the NWA World Title against Jimmy Garvin, Jim Crockett says that if Wahoo McDaniel accepts Dick Slater’s challenge than that match will also be held on that card. Sandy Scott says every title will be on the line on this historic card and more matches will be revealed in the weeks to come!!

Ole Anderson: Now first things, first, I heard those bikers, the MOD Squad out here a little earlier saying how they want Bolt and I at the Great American Bash, well that’s fine, they want to embarrass themselves by getting into the ring with us, they want to find out that hey, maybe they aren’t as tough as they think they are, well I am fine with that, I have been teaching bikers, football players, and other wrestlers their limitations for years and I am fine taking those two behind the woodshed as they say around here and showing them just how tough they really are.
As for Nikita and Ivan Koloff, let’s get one thing straight right away, Nikita Koloff you want to come out here, rip off your shirt, show you big muscle and tell everyone how strong you are. Well that’s OK, I am not going to take anything away from you, you ARE a physical specimen, you may very well be the strongest man not only in wrestling today but ever. Bolt and I aren’t going to win any bodybuilding contests, Ivan Koloff, you claim to be a superior athlete, well that might be true. You very well could be a better athlete than Bolt and I, we don’t go to the gym quite as much as we used to because we like to enjoy some of the things we have earned living in this great country and being as successful as we have for so long. So I am going to give those things to you Koloffs, you may be bigger, you may be stronger, you may be more athletic, but there is something ingrained into every American from the day they are born to the day that they die and that’s to never back down, to fight with everything you got!! I tell you this Koloffs, they say you can look into someone’s eyes and you can tell if they are putting one over on you, if they are BSing you, well go ahead and zoom that camera in on MY EYES AND SEE IF THERE IS ANY BS IN THEM WHEN I SAY THIS! Koloffs, I am going to tell you this, you are going to have to get into the ring with Bolt and I, and when you do, WHEN YOU DO, you are going to find out first hand just what an old fashion American butt whipping is all about!!
Tony: I was just informed before we came back from commercial that next week Ole, you and Thunderbolt will be putting your National Tag Team Titles on the line here on World Wide Wrestling against THE AWESOME TWOSOME, WAHOO MCDANIEL AND THE TELEVISION CHAMPION TULLY BLANCHARD!!!
Ole: What is it my cousin Ric Flair calls them, that’s right, THE GRUESOME TWOSOME. You know last year I had allot of things going that kept me away from this area, but when I would turn on the TV and see what was going on with my cousin and those two I’d pick up the phone and call him and say: Hey, why don’t I come down to Charlotte and help you take care of those two! But Ric would always say: Ole, it’s my fight and I am going to take care of it. And I respected that, the name might be different, but he has Anderson blood running through him and when someone from the Anderson family wants to handle something you step aside and you let them handle it. But the more I watched the more I was chomping at the bit to get my hands on the two of them. Now Tully Blanchard, you can’t take anything away from him, he is the Television Champion and that is no small feet, he’s held onto that title for what? A year now? Holding onto any title for any length of time is a major accomplishment, he’s a second generation wrestler so he knows what he is doing in that ring, Wahoo McDaniel? While I agree with Dickie Slater that Wahoo seems to not be the man he once was, he is still one of the toughest men to ever step foot in that ring, a man I have had wars with going back a decade!! So we know, WE KNOW, next week isn’t going to be a cake walk, but it’s not going to be one for the Gruesome Twosome either, you two better come ready to fight because we will and let me tell you something if you think you are going to take these National Titles from use then you got another thing coming!!!!

Buzz Tyler is holds the ropes open for Garvin telling him to get back in the ring when we return from commercial break, finally Garvin rolls back into the ring and the two men go to lock up but Garvin reaches in and rakes Tyler’s eyes!!!!
Garvin now takes over on Tyler, nailing him with stiff forearms that back Tyler into the ropes. Tyler is lying against the ropes as Garvin pounds away on Tyler forearm after forearm, Garvin the whips Tyler into the ropes and tries for a running clothesline, but Tyler ducks!!!!! Garvin bounces off the ropes and Tyler leap frogs him, when Garvin comes back Tyler knocks him to the mat with a clothesline!!!!! Garvin scrambles to his feet and Tyler begins to unload on him with right hands bouncing Garvin around, Tyler then winds up and knocks Garvin down to the mat with his Sunday Punch!!! Garvin gets to his feet, but looks to be out of it, Tyler fires a few more punches before whipping Garvin into the ropes, Tyler ducks down to backdrop Garvin, but Garvin stops himself and goes to kick Tyler in the face, but Tyler catches Garvin foot!!!!!
Tyler is holding Garvin foot and Garvin is begging off, Tyler pushes Garvin foot away spinning Garvin around and the clocks Garvin with a double ax handle to the side of the head!!!!! Tyler goes for a cover but only gets a two count. Garvin scrambles away and gets to his feet, but Tyler gives chase and catches him in the corner, but Garvin is ready and kicks Tyler in the stomach and then slams Tyler's head into the top turnbuckle!!!! Garvin lays some heavy chops in on Tyler then goes to whip him into the opposite corner, but Tyler reverses it, wait Garvin reverses it again and Tyler crashes into the turnbuckle!!!! Garvin charges forward but Tyler moves at the last possible second and Garvin crashes into the corner!!!! Garvin staggers out of the corner and when he is in the center of the ring Tyler catches him with A KANSAS CITY SLAM!!!!!!!!!! COVER

Precious jumps up on the apron and distracts Tyler, Tyler is telling Tommy Young to get Precious off the apron, giving Garvin enough time to try a sneak attack, but Tyler hears him coming and knocks him down with a punch to the face!!! Garvin is against the ropes and Tyler fires away, he whips Garvin off the ropes, but Garvin reverses it and then tries to land a clothesline, Tyler ducks under and comes back with a Body Avalanche!!!!!! Referee Tommy Young backs Garvin off, but PRECIOUS!!! reaches up and starts to pull down on Tyler's head choking him!!!!!!
