Bill Mercer is seated in the studio. Fritz Von Erich is in another chair. Technicians are fixing a microphone for Fritz and moving cables around.
Mercer, "Fans, things are very hectic around here. We have some big breaking news to announce tonight, and we are preparing for that. I can tell you are main event is set, Kerry Von Erich defends the American Heavyweight Title against Chris Adams. We will have our big announcement after our first match. Let's go to the ring and Marc Lowrance."
Match #1
Gino Hernandez w/"Playboy" Gary Hart vs. Chief Jules Strongbow
Strongbow return to action after a few weeks away. The former American and Texas Champion, Gino Hernandez, is on the comeback trail. Strongbow puts up a good fight, but Gino is too much. He punishes Jules and wins with an elbow drop.

Bill Mercer is in the studio with Fritz Von Erich.
Mercer, " Welcome back to the studio. I am here wit, the President of ' World Class Championship Wrestling', Fritz Von Erich. Fritz, I know you have two big announcements, so I'll turn the floor over to you."
Fritz, "Thank you Bill. We believe that World Class Championship Wrestling is the best wrestling in the world. What I'm about to announce will prove it. First, our big show, on July 7, the 'Firecracker Spectacular' is on the move. Instead of being held at the Tarrant County Convention Center, it will be held at Reunion Arena in Dallas. The reason for this, the main event will be an NWA World Title match. Ric Flair will be here to defend the title."
Mercer, "Wow! Ric Flair back in Texas. Do we know who his opponent will be?"
Fritz, "Sort of. The NWA has decided that Flair will defend the title against the American Heavyweight Champion. Right now, Kerry holds the title, but we know that Chris Adams could take it from him tonight."
Mercer, "Tonight"s title match was big enough, now it's even bigger! Let's go to the ring, the new American Tag Team Champions will be in action. "

The Fantastics (American Tag Team Champions) vs. The Magic Dragon and El Diablo
Tommy Rogers and Bobby Fulton defeated the Irwin Brothers last week. They are popular champions. The masked men wait in the ring and we hear,
Rogers and Fulton circle the ring and receive hugs from many of the female fans.They climb into the ring and the match is on. The Magic Dragon takes the fight to Fulton. The new Champions are in a bit of trouble. Fulton rallies and tags in Rogers. Tommy works over the Dragon. El Diablo tags on, but the Mexican star fares no better. Rogers uses a sunset flip for the win. The new Champions will be hard to beat.

Steve Simpson vs. Killer Brooks
The popular African has looked very good, but the veteran Brooks will be a stiff test. Brooks wants a slow pace and he gets it early. He traps Simpson in the corner and begins to choke. Referee Bronko Lubich counts, but Brooks breaks at four. Simpson escapes and picks up the pace. His quickness is too much for Brooks. Steve uses the flying bodypress for the win.
Winner-Steve Simpson
Kevin and Kerry Von Erich are with Marc Lowrance.
Lowrance, "With me are Kerry and Kevin Von Erich. I'll start with Kerry. You face Chris Adams tonight, and now we know Ric Flair is coming to Texas, and he will face the American Champion. That makes this match even more important."
Kerry, "It was like this before, I beat Adams to get my chance at Flair. I'm going to do it tonight, and this time I'll take back that World Title!"
Lowrance, "That's what the fans are hoping for. Now to you Kevin. This man, Adrian Street, has been making a name for himself. He is a bit 'different', but he is a threat to the Texas Title."
Kevin, "Different doesn't start to explain him. He's just weird, but you can't overlook him. He's a good wrestler and a tough guy. He just wants you to forget about that."
Lowrance, "You're right about that. Kerry takes on Chris Adams in our main event, don't miss it!"

Non-Title Match
Kevin Von Erich (Texas Champion) vs. Kelly Kiniski
Two second generation wrestlers meet in this one. Kiniski, the son of former NWA Champion, Gene Kiniski looks good early. He aggressively attacks Kevin. The Champion is in trouble. Kiniski grabs Von Erich by the hair and slams his head into the turnbuckle.kevin is stunned. Kiniski tries to whip Kevin into the corner, but Kevin reverses it. This swings the momentum to the Champion. Kevin goes to work and the Sportatorium crowd goes crazy. He applies the Von Erich claw and the match is over.
Winner-Kevin Von Erich
Gary Hart, Sunshine and Chris Adams are with Marc Lowrance.
Lowrance, "With me are Chris Adams, Sunshine and Gary Hart. Mr. Adams, you have a chance to not only win the American Heavyweight title, but to earn a World Title shot. Are you prepared?"
Adams, "Of course I am prepared. I was prepared in the Spring when the officials stole a title shot from me. That won't happen this time. Gary, and Sunshine have me well prepared."
Hart, "Chris Adams is the finest professional wrestler in the sport. He's right, he deserved the title shot at Texas Stadium, but old man Fritz got his way again. That won't happen this time. We have a plan for tonight, and then, on July 7, Chris will beat Ricky Flair to become the World Champion."
Sunshine, "Kerry, this is going to be the greatest night of my life! I'm going to watch you lose the title and see Chris get ready to become the World Champion!"
Lowrance, "The American Heavyweight Title match is next."

American Heavyweight Championship
Kerry Von Erich (Champion) vs. Chris Adams w/"Playboy" Gary Hart and Sunshine
Referee David Manning waits in the ring. We hear,
Chris Adams struts to the ring. The Sportatorium crowd boos loudly. We no hear,
The "Modern Day Warrior" hits the ring. This will be a great one. The bell rings and both men advance cautiously. They lock up and Kerry overpowers Adams. Kerry uses his strength to control the action. Adams takes to the floor to regroup. Hart gives him a word of advice and he returns to the ring. Kerry advances, but Adams lands a boot to the gut and Kerry is stunned. Adams now goes to work. He mixes wrestling with brawling and the Champion is in trouble. Adams suplexes Kerry to the mat and goes for a cover. Kerry kicks out at two. We almost had a new Champion. Adams whips Kerry into the corner and runs in. Kerry moves and Chris crashes into the corner. Kerry has turned things around. He goes to work on Adams. Kerry slams Adams to the mat and goes for a cover. Adams kicks out at two. Kerry whips Adams into the ropes and goes for a sleephold. Adams gets to the ropes and the hold is broken. Now Kerry is geared up. He traps Adams in the corner and begins to pound away. Manning tries to back up Kerry, but Von Erich decks him! Kerry continues to punish Adams. Manning struggles to his feet and calls for the bell. Marc Lowrance brings the title into the ring. Manning calls for the mic.
Manning, "I am disqualifying Kerry Von Erich...and I am calling for him to be stripped of the American Title!"
Manning takes the title from Lowrance. Everyone is stunned.
Winner-Chris Adams (Disqualification)
Bill Mercer closes the show.
Mercer, "Wow! What has happened? David Manning has disqualified Kerry and called for him to be stripped of the title. Can he do this? I don't know. We will have more information, next week, along with a great main event. Adrian Street will meet Brian Adias."
