AWA Catchup and AWA Championship Wrestling coming 5/3/85

AWA Catchup
-Doc Death continues to defend his belt beating the likes of Greg Valentine, Larry Zybysko, and Nick Bockwinkel. Vern makes a big deal about bringing in former WWF champ Bob Backlund to face Doc Death. He wants doc training for that match and Larry Z, Valentine and Bock all will not recieve any more title matches. Doc starts training hard with his mentor Bob Roop for Backlund coming in.
-Frustrated by not getting any rematches, Larry Z, and Nick Bockwinkel get rid of her and bring in a sports agent, Floyd Creatchmen. He promises to negotiate with Verne. Ray Stevens also comes in and joins the group. They call themselves the Players Club. They want to include the newly free Superstar Billy Graham, but he talks about not needing title matches to bring out his fans and turns them down.
-Road Warriors have the AWA belts and want to bring on all comers, but after the crowd gets behind them in Chicago when they won the belts, they decide to dump Paul Ellering and listen to the fans. Ellering is shunned from the AWA but vows via video that he has put a bounty out on the warriors and will keep sending in teams to try and get rid of them. The first up are all three Samoans, and with the help of Superstar Graham, the roadies are able to run them out of the AWA. But other teams will be coming into the area, including Assassins, Moondogs, Barbarian/Bruiser Brody, Bruise Brothers and Duncum/Mulligan.
-Dr Jerry Graham Jr, has come into the AWA and brought Honky Tonk Man with him. He signed up Greg Valentine after Baby Doll left and will manage the Bruiser Brothers as well.
-Sheik Adnan has Mr Saito, Nord the Barbarian and Bruiser Brody all poised for possible title shots, he vows anyone getting in his way will be sorry.
-Verne Gagne has brought in PPK to be booker for the AWA. PPK has talked to ESPN and gotten a weekly show on Saturday Nights, taped at the Met Center in Bloomington MN. First airing of this program AWA Championship Wrestling will be 5/3/1985
