I too am excited to see this play out. Looks to me like Brisco and Gagne's title run might not survive their first defense! Buddy Jack and Bam Bam are hard to handle. I love seeing Budro mentioned here and seemingly being a key component to Mid South. He has been a shining light thusfar. His mystery woman will hopefully be that lil something extra he needs to get from most entertaining midcarder on the board to the top of the food chain Grigsy.
Really looking forward to this. And when you're in New Orleans or Little Rock you aren't too far for my guys to make a trip, if Southeastern can help, I'm always available.

Im so happy Grigs is taking over Mid-South. I left my man with some FUCKED UP storylines to inherit, but Grigs remains my most entertaining read in FPW, and I cant wait to see what he comes up with!

I hate that JYD vs Duggan is ending so soon but I am completely confident that some good will come out of Grigs being in Mid-South. Some serious stability is needed after TOPO had his run through the area.  |

Let’s make believe that until Mid South Wrestling returns to TV on May 3 here on the board that fans in Wattsland are getting “BEST OF MID SOUTH” programs with matches from the past as well as localized promos. Here is a segment from this past week’s program….
JIM ROSS: Thanks for staying with us , folks. I know that you enjoyed that classic from the career of our Mid South Wrestling President Cowboy Bill Watts’ storied career. The Tulsa Convention Center will be the site of yet another historic match on May 2 when Hacksaw Jim Duggan takes on Hacksaw Jim Duggan in a Loser Leaves Mid South match! Both men had some rather poignant comments earlier today….
VTR:
JYD, dressed in a golf shirt and jeans is standing in a blackened studio with Ken mantel by his side. Mantel is in a suit and tie….
JYD: May 2 in Tulsa is a big night. It’s gonna be the end of the road for Jim Duggan and me! Hacksaw, you are in big trouble because you are looking at a man with nothing to lose! You see, the other day, Ken Mantell, the greatest man in wrestling today, called me up and said “Dog, it’s time you go worldwide!” he brought me contracts for Madison Square Garden, Boston Garden, Philadelphia Spectrum, Tokyo, Japan, San Juan< Puerto Rico, and even Mexico! Duggan, I’ve outgrown Mid South! Let me let you people in on a big secret! The name Hacksaw ain’t the name they call him by everywhere else he wrestled. That’s a name Bill Watts dreamed up! Everywhere else he wrestled: New York, Atlanta, San Antonio, Hawaii, they called him “Popcorn Jim”. You see, every wrestling card has a popcorn match. That’s the match where everybody goes and gets popcorn, coca cola, beer, hot dogs,or goes to the bathroom! Jimmy Duggan, this is the first place where they ever cared enough about you to even watch your matches! Mid South is the only place that anybody cares about you! I can go anywhere in the world and I’m a big deal! When I beat you, I’m gonna end you lousy career, Popcorn Jim! You’ll go right back to the bottom where Bill Watts found you! You brought this on yourself by stabbing me in the back, Duggan! And, in Tulsa, the Dog is gonna end it!
ROSS: As you may imagine, Hacksaw Jim Duggan had a rebuttal…

Hacksaw Duggan is standing in front of the Mid South Wrestling backdrop. Duggan is wearing an SMU football jersey and a USA ball cap.
DUGGAN: Hey, everybody, ol’ Hacksaw here! I heard what Dog said earlier. You know what? Some of it is actually true. My wrestling career wasn’t exactly an overnight success. I remember about four years ago, I got my first main event in my old hometown, Glens Falls, New York. I walked in and I asked the promoter how the advance ticket sales were. He smiled and said “Five.” I said, “Ok, five hundred, five thousand? What do you mean? He said “Five tickets, Jim, I have sold five tickets!” But you know what? Those five people got one heckuva fight! I might have came by things the hard way, but when that happens, you appreciate what you have a lot more! JYD, you implied that Bill Watts and Mid South Wrestling fans made Hacksaw what I am today. That’s 100% right! I owe everything to Cowboy Bill and the folks in the Mid South! The other night, we were in Lafayette, Louisiana and I saw a little black kid ask Dog for an autograph. Dog, you told the kid to get away from you! (choking up and getting teary eyed) Don’t you people ever get away from the Hacksaw! You people in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana made me! Dog, if you and Mantell want Hacksaw out Mid South, you better bring an uzi and have it loaded! The only way I’m leaving Mid South is in a pine box!
