-We go now to Channel 5 Studios here in Memphis to Lance Russell and Dave Brown-
Lance Russell and Dave Brown welcome us to “Championship Wrestling ‘85”. Jerry “The King” Lawler, Dutch Mantell and “Superstar” Bill Dudnee - the Memphis Three - were out to a rapturous amount of applause from the fans. Lawler talks about how touched he is that all the fans have been showing him such support since he has come back. Lance announces that this Monday, it will be The King taking on Adrian Street in a one-on-one singles grudge match. Jerry Lawler mentions that he is sure that Jake “The Snake” Roberts is intent on revenge, and is sending Street to do his worst. However, The King is back and he is on a roll. He hasn't forgotten that Street was in that cage at Christmas, trying to help Jake end his career.
Lawler makes a vow to run through the Devil’s Triangle, get his revenge on Jake Roberts and then get back to his goal of becoming the World Heavyweight Champion. Bill Dundee and Dutch Mantell say that they are totally supporting The King, and Dundee will be at ringside on Monday to be sure that Miss Linda keeps her hands to herself! Mantell adds that he still has his sights set on the big One Man Gang’s Southern Title.

1) Bill Dundee pinned Freezer Thompson at 4:11 with the Bomb’s Away knee drop off the second rope to score the victory.
The Rock n’ Roll Express are out next, and Ricky Morton admits to Dave Brown that he and Robert Gibson got played last week. Ricky honestly thought this war against Eddie Gilbert was over, but clearly that won’t happen as long as the Rock n’ Roll Express and Hotstuff are both here in CWA. Morton and Gibson are exercising their rematch clause for this Monday night. Robert Gibson adds that not only do they want to run Eddie Gilbert out of town, they also want to make Rick Steiner’s professional career a short one after what he did to Jerry Jarrett.

Jerry Jarrett is out with Lance Russell to discuss the situation with Rick Steiner. Jerry admits that he is pretty disgusted to see Steiner joining up with Eddie Gilbert and Jimmy Hart, after all the time he spent training him. This brought out Hot Stuff International’s Eddie Gilbert and Rick Steiner. Gilbert told Jarrett that he clearly did a good job training Rick, but that’s all that he is good for. Eddie has already proven that he can do more for Steiner’s career than Jarrett, because Steiner is standing here as a champion today.
Jerry retorts that it could be short-lived because he would love to see The Rock n’ Roll Express shut them both up this Monday night! Jarrett walks off as Eddie Gilbert gloats about pulling one over “on the boss”. Rick Steiner tells Lance that in his mind, there’s no hard feelings. He made a business decision, pure and simple. Lance tells Steiner that he is disappointed in what he has done. Eddie Gilbert laughs and says he’s sure Rick will be crying over that while he is polishing his gold title belt. Steiner and Gilbert head up to the ring.
2) Southern Tag Team Champions Hot Stuff International (Eddie Gilbert & Rick Steiner) defeated David Oswalt & Ken Raper at 5:11 when Gilbert connected with the Hot Shot on Ken Raper to score the easy win.
The Devil’s Triangle and Miss Linda are out now to speak with Dave Brown. CWA Heavyweight Champion Jake “The Snake” Roberts tells Brown that the people can rejoice all they want – but what did Lawler really accomplish in his comeback? Sure, he got a pin over Adrian Street, but The Snake is still the CWA Heavyweight Champion and One Man Gang is still the Southern Heavyweight Champion. Jake tells Dave that he and One Man Gang have had some discussions over the last week and they presented some scenarios to Adrian Street.
The Snake is sure that Street now understands that he needs to prove himself on Monday by beating The King and ending this so-called comeback. Roberts says Adrian also should understand that there can be no weak link in the Devil’s Triangle, and Street has yet to really reach the success of The Snake and One Man Gang here in CWA. Adrian and Miss Linda don’t like this one bit, but Street pipes up and says he’s never been the weak link in his life. This Monday, he’ll "bring a screeching halt to that crashing bore's comeback" and that’s all there is to it, sunshine! Dave Brown mentions that the Devil’s Triangle don’t seem to be reacting well to meeting opposition, after three months of running roughshod over CWA.

“Wildfire” Tommy Rich is out with Lance Russell as we come back from break. Lance shows footage of Rich being attacked by Rick Rude before his match with Big Bubba Rogers two weeks ago at the Mid South Coliseum. Rich says that Rick Rude really showed what kind of man he is by jumping Wildfire from behind. Well, this Monday night, Rick Rude is going to have to go face-to-face and we’ll see what happens then. Tommy is “all farrrrrred up” to show Rick Rude that big muscles and fancy robes aren’t the only things you need to get to the top. Rich reminds Rude that he is a former World Heavyweight Champion, and he got there by fighting tooth and nail every night of the week and twice on Sundays!
3) ”Wildfire” Tommy Rich pinned Dr. Detroit at 3:11 when he caught the masked man off the ropes with the Lou Thesz Press.
The Nightmares are out with Dave Brown after the match. Dave mentions that they managed to cost The Good Ol’ Boys a match with Sweet Sensation at the Mid South Coliseum by making their presence felt. Ken Wayne smiles as he says that himself and Danny Davis were simply taking seats at ringside. They can’t help it if "big fat Phil Hickerson" and "Father Time Tommy Gilbert" are so dumb that they can’t even keep their attention on their matches. Dave says this week it will be The Nightmares and Sweet Sensation in a battle of the fan favorites. Danny adds that he respects Sweet Sensation a lot, and is looking forward to what should be quite a match this Monday at the Mid South Coliseum.

The Mongolian Stomper and his nephew Stomper Jr. are out with Lance Russell after the match. This Monday, Stomper Jr. has the biggest opportunity of his career as he faces CWA Heavyweight Champion Jake “The Snake” Roberts. Stomper Jr. says he is appreciative of the opportunity to challenge for a title, and he has asked his uncle to stay in the dressing room unless The Devil’s Triangle get involved. Junior wants to win or lose on his own merits this Monday. The Mongolian Stomper pats his nephew on the back and says it will be a great learning experience for him this Monday. He believes Junior has what it takes to be a champion here in CWA.
4) Stomper Jr. pinned Chris Von Colt at 13:04 when he connected with a flying cross-body splash. The youngster got a tremendous win over a journeyman like Von Colt in a match that spanned two segments.
Billy Joe Travis is out after the match to speak with Dave Brown, but doesn’t get very far along because Kendell Windham interrupts. Kendell wants to know why Billy Travis gets an interview this week, instead of a true superstar like himself. Kendell says he is a member of a legendary wrestling family, but he hasn’t been treated with any kind of respect since coming to CWA. Now, he has to admit he was wrong about Rick Steiner a few weeks ago, but Kendell knows that Billy Travis is nothing but a no-name punk.
Travis steps up and gets into Kendell Windham’s face, but Windham tries to shoo him away. Kendell tells Dave Brown that he doesn’t have time for “first match jabronis” like Travis, which only riles Billy up further. Travis challenges Kendell to a match, but Windham laughs and declines. Travis slaps him across the face. Kendell angrily tells Dave Brown to send this punk to the back, but now Travis decks Windham! Windham and Travis are now brawling all over the ringside area, until wrestlers, referees and Eddie Marlin are out to separate them.
