Show Opening
********
Charlie and Rick open the show and discuss the brutal assault perpetrated last week by the Stud Stable on the Southeastern Heavyweight Champion Austin Idol….
YOU MAY BE RIGHT (LUNATIC) by BILLY JOEL
The champ is here, and Idolmania is certainly alive and well in Meridian. Now last week Jimmy Golden proclaimed himself to be a better man than Austin Idol, and the champ only takes that one of a couple ways. He must be smarter, better lookin, and a better rassler. And the Boss is willing to bet this here Southeastern Heavyweight Championship one more time to prove Jimmy Golden wrong. Last week, “JAMES,” you drew first blood brother and that don’t sit too well with the Champ, not one bit, Jack.
Jimmy Golden, Arn Anderson, and Jerry Stubbs make their way out and swagger past the announce desk, the champ certainly doesn’t take one step back, but the Stable gets quite the chuckle as they head to the ring for the opening contest.

The Stud Stable w/Ron Fuller vs ‘Georgia Bulldog’ Tony Zane, Jack Hart, and Paul Diamond
The athletic youngsters catch Stubbs off guard in the early going and really take it to him, but Mr. Perfect has the presence of mind to get Hart into his corner where they can take advantage of the numbers game. What is Jimmy Golden doing?!
The number 1 contender has hopped off the ring apron and is approaching the announce desk where Austin Idol is working commentary with Charlie Platt! A shouting match breaks out and, you guessed it, it quickly escalates into a fist fight between the two men! It’s pandemonium in the ring as well as at the booth!
We return and the Perfection Connection are down a man, but have young Paul Diamond in a world of hurt as Anderson front suplexes him down across the waiting knee of Jerry Stubbs! Arn delivers a left hand to Zane and Hart in the corner and Stubbs lifts Diamond up and brings him crashing down across his own knee one more time and puts the kid away at 8’32.
Back at the commentator’s booth Platt and Stewart make do without their table and discuss the action that went down during the commercial break and neither of them can wait to see Golden and Idol hook it up one more time inside the squared circle.

Tonga Kid and Scott Armstrong vs. Snake Brown and the Ragin Bull
After a couple of weeks of not being on the same page, TK and Scotty are firing on all cylinders here. Their ruffian counterparts battle tooth and nail, and cause a bit of trouble for the duo, but the speed and timing of TK and Scotty make all the difference. A Savage Savate kick from TK levels Snake who stumbles right into Scotty’s flying shoulder tackle at 6’44.
Say they know things didn’t look so great last week, but Scotty sure is glad to know that regardless of the odds the Tonga Kid has his back. And while he feels the Alabama Title should be his…. Whoa, interrupts TK, “it should’ve been mine, first…” Whatever the case may be, it won’t be long before one of them has taken that strap from Checkmate, whether those stinkin commies like it or not!
Scotty gives the Party Patrol a big high five in passing as but the Tonga Kid doesn’t give them the time of day. Johnny and Davey shrug it off and head over for a few words with Platt and Stewart before the next match, and those nasty Legionnaires are some tough hombres, but and are exactly the type of competition the Rich’s need to overcome in order to throw their name in the hat around here. Victory and Lintz made things real personal this past week pulling stuff behind the referee’s backs, but that’s alright cause it ain’t the Party Patrol’s first dance either.

Johnny Rich vs Boomer Lynch
The South African Assassin comes out hot and heavy, battering on Rich, and burning through the gas tank. Just about the time Boomer was ready to tag out for a minute, Johnny was catching a second wind and employed a hit and run technique, never allowing the big man to catch his breath and the Lou Thesz Press put him away at 7’21.
Lynch launched Johnny off himself, but just after the count of three and the South African Assassin took right to battering on Rich, power slamming him down and attempting a cover himself. As Boomer was flipping his wig with the official the New Zealand Militant Jacko Victory got in there and got his partner out of there.
THE MAD DOG IS COMING
Platt and Stewart welcome everyone back from break and we have a special challenge match in today’s main event. Professor Malenko says that the Stud Stable has all of the tag team champions tag and six-man contracts signed up so he laid the singles challenge out, and the Midnight Rebels are never men to back away from a challenge. Stewart is sure that the Perfection Connection and Lightning Express will have a close eye on this one as these four tag teams are pushing one another to new heights.

Southeastern Tag Team Champion Marty Jannetty vs. Josef Malenko w/Prof. Malenko
Jannetty begins this one cautiously as he is unfamiliar with the grappling greatness of Malenko. Marty’s quickness and agility are his biggest allies in the early going and get him out of a few predicaments. Josef’s rough European style takes its toll on the champ who has been through a series of wars with the Stud Stable and Malenko has things well in control as we head into the final break.
The pace has picked up and Jannetty is mounting an offensive. Flying forearm shot followed up by a running splash gets the near fall, but the cerebral Malenko slides out of bounds to regroup. Jannetty makes the mistake of following Malenko into the ring and tastes an elbow drop. Now Josef systematically begins preparing Jannetty for the Soviet STF, one of the most feared submissions in the sport. Josef lifts Marty up and drops him across his knee with a brutal backbreaker, he hoists him back up and attempts a second, but wait! Jannetty hooks the back of his neck, rolls him up,

Davey Rich vs. Jacko Victory
The other half of the Party Patrol met the New Zealand Militant in a hard hitting encounter that saw Jacko take a bite out of Davey’s behind and send a message on behalf of the Legionnaires after Johnny surprised Boomer earlier. But Davey is not an easy man to keep down and picked up several near falls. The power of Victory was a bit too much for Rich on this night though as a counter into a backbreaker and the Bombs Away Knee Drop from the second rope earned Jacko a hard earned victory at 12’19.

©Checkmate w/Prof. Malenko vs. Brad Armstrong
Checkmate has been put through the wringer since taking that Alabama Title, and tonight might be his stiffest challenge yet. The masked man and eldest of the Armstrong clan match up very well in terms of speed, quickness, strength, and grappling ability. The masked man grows frustrated with his inability to sustain any offensive moment and goes to brawling. But Brad was ready for that as well and hit the Professor’s Ultimate Solution with everything and, appropriately enough, the Side Russian Leg Sweep, Brad hooks the leg!
1…..
Wait, where is Bobby Simmons? The Professor has him tied up! Brad goes over to grab the referee’s attention. What is Malenko doing? He handed something to Checkmate who is now loading up his mask! Wait just a minute!

WE KNOW WHO THAT IS!!!
THE BULLET'S BACK!!!
He has Malenko and gives the professor a big right hand! Oh no, here comes Josef and Dean! Brad hops out, and here comes White Lightning, we have a 6 man standoff at ringside, and no one pays enough attention to the referee. The title match results in a double countout at 22’16.
But the larger story here is that THE BULLET has returned to Southeastern Championship Wrestling, and, there they go! The Bullet and the Lightning Express have locked it up with Checkmate and the Amazing Malenko Bros. It’s pandemonium, they destroy the make shift, interview station that was used for the tv portion of the night and keep on fighting through the curtain and into the back. They might fight all the way back to Jackson!
