Mercer, "Welcome to 'World Class Championship Wrestling'. We have a great main event for you tonight, and we will have some news concerning the 'Parade of Champions'. Let's go to Marc Lowrance in the ring."
Match #1
Non-Title Match
The Long Riders (American Tag Team Champions) w/General Skandor Akbar vs. The Davidson Brothers
The “Battle of the Bikers”. The Long Rider have held the titles since Thanksgiving and taken on all comers. The Davidsons are no easy opponent. The bell rings and it’s Scott Irwin and Rick Davidson in the ring. The two big men pound away at each other. There are no wrestling holds. John tags and tries the same thing against “Hog”. Scott tags in Bill and the “smaller” Irwin goes to work. Bill lands the big boot for the win.
Winners-The Long Riders
Marc Lowrance is with Kevin Von Erich.
Lowrance, “With me is Kevin Von Erich. Kevin, you have challenged Gino Hernandez to a ‘No Disqualification’, ‘No Count Out’ match at the ‘Parade of Champions’. We will hear, later in the program, if that match will take place.”
Kevin, “I hope they give me the match. I can beat Hernandez, we all know that, but he keeps finding ways to escape. If I get this match, I’ll win, If I don’t, I don’t have any excuses.”
Lowrance, “We will have a report on the ‘Parade of Champions’ later in the program. We all hope to see Kevin get his chance. Now let’s see Kevin in the ring.”
Match #2
Kevin Von Erich vs. The Magic Dragon
The masked Dragon takes the fight to Kevin. His martial arts stun Von Erich, for a while. Kevin rallies with the Sportatorium crowd behind him. He hits the flying bodypress for the win.
Winner-Kevin Von Erich
Match #3
Lance Von Erich vs. Fishman
The popular Von Erich cousin takes on the Mexican legend. The masked man uses his “Lucha” style to control the early action. He works over Lance, but not enough. Lance fights back with all he has. Lance hits a flying bodypress for the win.
Winner-Lance Von Erich
Bill Mercer is seated in the studio.
Mercer, “Fans, on Sunday afternoon, April 27, ‘World Class Championship Wrestling’ presents the second “David Von Erich Parade of Champions’. We have two big matches to announce tonight. We know that Kevin Von Erich has been chasing Gino Hernandez and the Texas Title. Kevin has challenged Gino to a no disqualification, no countout match. Matchmaker Ed Watt has made a decision. Kevin and Gino will meet, in a no disqualification, no countout match, at the ‘Parade of Champions’. Kevin wants this, no he has it. That is big news by itself, but we have more. We know that Ric Flair will defend the NWA World Title on that card. The NWA has announced who Flair’s opponent will be. It will be the American Heavyweight Champion. Right now, Kerry Von Erich is the Champion. After tonight, it may be Killer Khan. By April 27, it could be any one of several wrestlers. Whoever it is, Ric Flair will have his hands full.”
Match #4
Buck Zumhofe vs. The Missing Link w/General Skandor Akbar
The popular “Rock and Roller” is back in Texas. The strange Missing Link jumps Buck before the bell. He works over Zumhofe, but Buck will not go down without a fight. He fights back against the bigger Link. Akbar shouts instructions from ringside. The Link lands a headbut and covers Zumhofe for the win.
Winner-The Missing Link
Kerry Von Erich is with Marc Lowrance.
Lowrance, “With me is Kerry Von Erich. Kerry, tonight you meet Killer Khan, one of the most vicious men in the sport. We also know that the American Champion will meet Ric Flair for the title at Texas Stadium.”
Kerry, “Marc, I’ve waited one year for this opportunity. I had the title once, and I want it again. I know I have to keep this title to get that World Title shot. Khan is an animal, and I know it won’t be easy. I will win tonight and I’ll beat Flair in April.”
Lowrance, “When we return, Kerry vs. Khan.”
Match #5
American Heavyweight Championship
Kerry Von Erich (Champion) vs. Killer Khan w/General Skandor Akbar
Khan, Akbar and referee David Manning wait in the ring. We hear,
Kerry Von Erich comes to the ring. He receives a thunderous ovation. As he enters the ring, Gary Hart and Chris Adams come to the ring. He takes the mic from Marc Lowrance.
Hart, “Kerry Von Erich, Skandor Ak-a-bar, I want you to listen to me. I think Chris Adams in the best young wrestler in the game. I think he should be the American Heavyweight Champion. I am issuing a challenge to whoever wins this match. Wrestle Chris Adams, some time in the future, for the American Heavyweight Title.”
Both Kerry and Akbar agree.
The bell rings and the match begins. Von Erich is hot early. He takes the fight Khan. The big Mongolian backs up for the first time since arriving in Texas. Kerry goes for the claw, but Khan blocks it. He begins to pound away at Von Erich. Kerry is now in trouble. Khan scoops up Kerry and slams him. Khan goes for an elbow drop, but Kerry rolls out of the way. Kerry whips Khan into the ropes and clamps on the Von Erich claw. Suddenly, Kamala and the Missing Link hit the ring. Manning calls for the bell. Khan, Kamala and Link go after Kerry. Down the aisle come Kevin, Mike and Lance, but they are intercepted by Chris Adams, the Great Kabuki and Black Bart. They brawl with the Von Erich in the aisle. In the ring, Akbar’s men triple team Kerry. Kamala and Link hold him as Khan goes to the top rope. He lands a kneedrop to Kerry’s knee. Kerry is in agony. Akbar’s men leave the ring. Kevin, Mike and Lance run to check on Kerry. The camera goes to ringside. Hart reaches into his suit coat and pulls out a roll of money. He peels off several one hundred dollar bills and hands them to Akbar. Hart has paid off Akbar!
Winner-Kerry Von Erich (Disqualification)
Bill Mercer closes the show.
Mercer, “Kerry Von Erich is injured! We know, now, that Gary Hart set up this entire thing. Chris Adams will meet Kerry in the future, and you know Hart will push for it to be soon.”
