AWA ALL STAR WRESTLING
Matches taped on February 15, 1985 to air across the territory on February 22, 1985. at the studios of KMSP TV in Minneapolis. Rod Trongard on commentary and Ken Resnick as interviewer. Larry nelson is your ring announcer.
After the opening, Ken Resnick stands in front of the AWA logo.
RESNICK: Welcome to ALL STAR WRESTLING! We have an exciting hour with many of the great stars of the major league of professional wrestling! Greg “the Hammer Valentine is in action. Valentine’s fellow Platinum Club members, Larry Zybysko and Nick Bockwinkel will wrestle Steve O & Jim Powers in what should be an exciting match! Former World Champion Superstar graham is here today. Up and coming Al Perez will be here in a match. World Champion Steve “Dr. Death” Williams will wrestled Sheik Adnan El Kaissey’s masked man, the N ightmare in a non-title bout. Dr. Death has a title defense coming up against Mr. Saito and I am sure that Adnan’s orders to the Nightmare are to soften up Williams. Let’s go to the ring and larry nelson!
The Road Warriors vs. Larry Hamilton & Lou Winston: Hawk & Animal attack viciously. They beat their opponents down, but refuse to go for a pin! Ellering keeps yelling “That’s Atlas & Reed in there!” Finally, the referee stops the bout as Hamilton and Winston are totally unable to defend themselves! Finally, Reed and Atlas have seen enough! The tag champs hit the ring and brawl all over the studio with Hawk & Animal! Finally, we go to a break as several wrestlers and referees attempt to pull the two teams apart!

RESNICK: I’m here with the World Tag Team Champions…
REED: Those jerks need a good beating! They get two brothers in the ring and try to do permanent damage! They were trying to send a message to Mr. USA and the Hacksaw! Hawk and Animal, I can’t wait to get you in that streetfight tomorrow night in your hometown! I’m gonna tape my fists! I’m gonna go get steel toed boots! I’m gonna wear my blue jeans and I might carry a little surprise in my pocket like a knuckle duster or a roll of quarters! Anything goes, Tony, and that means anything!
ATLAS: How will it feel, Hawk and Animal and Ellering, if we whup you in the match you begged for in your home town? Ellering, we showed you what we were about in the cage in St. Paul! If we can beat Hawk & animal in a cage, there’s no tellin what we’ll do in a street fight! We are proud to be the first balck world tag team champions and we plan on holding the belts for a long time! Road Warriors, you better bring everything you’ve got because we’re gonna give you our best shot!
RESNICK: (theme from “Jesus Christ, Superstar” plays ) We have another match coming to the ring.
Superstar Graham vs. Jeff Sword: With Paul Ellering yelling instrcutions, Graham simply overwhelms Sword with his power. The Superstar gets a submission win with his backbreaker. Rod Trongard talks about hoew Ellering has been critical of the Superstar’s performance recently and that the Superstar has an important match coming up with another former World Champion, Rick Martel.

ADNAN: <several words of some foreign tongue> I have instructed the Nightmare to get Dr. Death ready for Mr. Saito! At the Rosemont Horizon, Saito, the greatest Japanese wrestler of all time will defeat Williams and bring the belt to the Sheik! Steve Williams and Bob Roop, last week, you felt the power of the Sheik’s Army and today, you will feel it again! <more ranting in an unknown language>

RESNICK: Before the World Champion wrestles the Nightmare in a non-title bout, I wanted to speak to him as well as his advisor, Bob Roop. Today, on TV, you have one of Adnan’s men, the Nightmare. Tomorrow, in Chicago, you defend the title against Mr. Saito, another member of the Sheik’s Army. Adnan is really putting the pressure on you.
WILLIAMS: The Sheik seems to always have a bunch of big, rugged, mean athletes. The Nightmare is a big, powerful man who doesn’t care what he has to do. Saito, call him Nr. Torture or the Japanese Torture Machine, he is a bad dude and he really knows how to wrestle! I’ll tell you something, Ken, I like it! I want to wrestle the best and the toughest! When I played football at OU, we didn’t want some D2 school, we wanted Nebraska and Texas and Notre Dame and Penn State! You can’t prove you’re the best if you take on a bunch of nobodies! Adanan, keep bringing in the baddeest dudes you can find! Platinum Club, Legion Of Doom, bring it on, baby! Dr. Death is here waiting on you! Well, I’m a pretty tough customer myself! I’ll have to go through over 20 of the toughest guys around to get the $25,000.00, but I’m ready to do it!

Steve Williams vs. the Nightmare: This is a hard hitting bout between two tough guys. When Dr. Death gains the advantage, Adnan tries to interfere, but gets flattened by Bob Roop for his trouble! Williams gets the win after he hits the Oklahoma Stampede on the masked man! As Roop enters the ring and raises Williams’ hand in victory, the cameras spot Mr. Saito, watching stoically from a corner of the studio.

RESNICK: I am joined by Steve Keirn. Steve, I couldn’t help but notice that the New Fabulous Ones are scheduled to debut in Chicago against Nick Bockwinkel & Larry Zybysko of the Platinum Club, managed by Baby Doll. AWA fans have to be wondering : Who will be your partner?
KEIRN: Ken, I want all of the fans to be sure to tune in next week because the New Fabs will be here! We’ll have the bow ties, the top hats, the white gloves, and the sequined jackets! I’m ready to rock and roll, ready to wrestle, and ready to strut! If you can get to Chicago tomorrow, get a ticket, mortgage the house if you have to! The New Fabulous Ones are coming to Chitown! Platinum Club, being you guys must be the worst feeling in the world! Baby Doll, you are going to see what the Fabs are all about! He called the top promoter in Japan and signed the top six man team in Japan to wrestle in the AWA for one night only! Former World Champion Jumbo Tsuruta, “The Dragon” Tatsumi Fujinami, and the great Yoshiaki Yatsu! Three great wrestlers, but in Chicago, they must wrestle a team! Not just a team, but a family! Not just a family, but a well oiled machine!
