5. TERRY GORDY V BOB ORTON, JR
Ace seems lost without his manager, and Gordy pounds him from one end of the ring to the other, but Orton earns some cheers when he fights back, and its an even steven fight but Gordy eventually prevails with a powerbomb 20:15 after a tough match that leaves even Bam Bam holding the back of his head!

6. SOONER STATE RULES MATCH

BOB BACKLUND V BUDDY LANDELL
Ring announcer Boyd Pierce explains the rules will be a simplified college rules system as a amateur wrestling mat is carried and shoved, then spread inside the ring:
3 periods, 2 minutes each
The only points scored: Takedown=2 points, Escape 1 point, Reversal 2 points. Any wrestler deducted 5 points will be disqualified. The winner is the wrestler that either pins the other, or has the most points at the end of the 3 periods; if points are tied, the match will be decided by a pinfall. Pinfalls are one count, just like in amateur style.
Backlund enters the ring first, and is all smiles feeling back at home wearing an amateur wrestling singlet, sneakers and headgear! Now here comes Buddy, who looks unprepared, enters the ring in his pro wrestling gear and boots, and no headgear. Hodge stops Landell, and hands him headgear, and after an argument, Landell reluctantly puts it on!
Landell warily enters the ring, and Hodge orders both men at either end of the mat past the circle, and BLOWS HIS WHISTLE, we are underway, and BACKLUND SHOOTS ACROSS THE RING, AND TAKES DOWN LANDELL FOR 2 POINTS! 2-0 . . .BACKLUND rides all over Landells back as the fans laugh at Landell who crawls on his hands and knees all around the mat, before finally getting past the circle and grabbing the ropes, and Hodge orders Backlund off Landell! Landell stands up and throws a temper tantrum, stomping and kicking and throws off headgear and yells at Hodge . . . HODGE DEDUCTS A POINT!!!! 2 to -1!
Landell can’t believe it, and swipes up his headgear and puts it on, and Hodge orders Landell into the bottom of the referee’s position. He blows his whistle, and Landell tries to escape, but Backlund takes him down AGAIN, 2 points, that’s 4 to -1, and locks up Landell again, and Landell struggles to escape as Backlund is all over him, and scores near fall after near fall, THE BELL RINGS, THE PERIOD IS UP, Backlund lets go and Landell gets up, and SHOVES BACKLUND AND CLENCHES HIS FIST AT BACKLUND! HODGE GETS IN FRONT OF LANDELL AND DEDUCTS ANOTHER POINT! Landell can’t believe it, and storms out of the ring to sulk
FIRST PERIOD: BOB BACKLUND 4, BUDDY LANDELL -2
SECOND PERIOD:
Hodge orders Landell back in the ring, Landell argues. Both men lock up, and Backlund gets behind Landell---Landell reverses, nicely done for a 2 point reversal, and we are at 4-0! SUPLEX! Another 2 points for Buddy, 4-2 Backlund, Backlund’s shoulders are down, Hodge raises his arm---Backlund gets his shoulder up before Hodge can count the fall, and Backlund wraps up Landell and gets him in a half nelson, that’s a reversal for 2 points, 6-2, Landell manages to crawl to the circle, and it’s time for the referees position again.
6-2 Backlund, referees position, Backlund on top, Landell escapes to his feet, nicely done for a point, 6-3, they lock up Backlund up and under, slams Landell, 8-3 Backlund goes for a cover---LANDELL WITH A RAKE TO THE EYES, AND THAT’S ANOTHER POINT OFF, but Backlund is blinded in his one eye! Fans, 2 more point deductions, and Landell is outta here! 8-2 Backlund, and Mr. Landell has dug himself quite a hole here.
Referees position again, Landell is able to take advantage of Backlund's loss of vision to escape and reverse for 2 points, 10-2 , Landell with a takedown, make that 10-4, he goes to cover Bob----BACKLUND REVERSES, AND ITS LANDELL FOR 2 POINTS 12-4-----HODGE SLAMS THE MAT, BUT THE BELL RINGS, IT WAS NOT IN TIME!
SCORE AFTER SECOND PERIOD: BOB BACKLUND 12, BUDDY LANDELL 4
Backlund and Hodge have an amicable discussion about the timing of the pinfall, but Hodge assures Backlund the bell rang before his hand slapped the mat. Landell argues with Backlund and Hodge wags a finger at him----------TWO MORE POINTS, BUDDY AND YOU ARE DQED!
THIRD AND FINAL PERIOD
They lock up, and no one gets an advantage, and they go out of bounds. Backlund is in the lead, so Buddy assumes the bottom of the referee’s position. Backlund rides Buddy, Buddy again crawls out of bounds, BUT WAIT! BUDDY GRABS BACKLUND’S HEADGEAR AS HE GETS UP, AND DRAGS BOTH HIM AND BOB OUT OF THE RING! Hodge immediately deducts another point making Buddy one shy of a DQ, Landell is way down at 12-3, BUT BACKLUND HAS HIT HIS UNPROTECTED HEAD ON THE ARENA FLOOR AND SEEMS STUNNED! DAMMIT, fans, Bob had proven his point, but there are normally no ringside floors to bump your head on in real college wrestling, AND IS IN TROUBLE HERE THANKS TO LANDELL'S TRICKERATIONS!
Landell throws Backlund into the ring, Hodge warns Buddy, but gee Mr. Hodge I’m just trying to help! He even throws Backlunds head gear to him, what a fine fellow. Hodge orders the referees position, and Backlund staggers and gets behind Buddy, whistle blown, Buddy immediately escapes and gets behind Backlund with a reverse, 12-5, then a half nelson takedown as Backlund is still stunned, and suddenly we are at 12-7, with 30 seconds to go. Buddy goes for a pinfall, but Bob manages to keep his shoulders up, Buddy lets go and walks out of bounds, that’s technically an escape for Backlund, 13-7. Referees position, Buddy still on bottom, and ANOTHER reversal, 13-9, and a belly to back suplex for 13-11! Bob is stunned from the head injury and cant defend himself, so Buddy just drags Bob up again, and another belly to back, 13-13 AND THE BELL RINGS WE ARE TIED AT 13 ALL! WE GO INTO OVERTIME! CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS?
AT END OF THIRD PERIOD, 13-13.
OVERTIME: FIRST FALL WINS.
Danny Hodge struggles to keep Landell from bum rushing Bob Backlund, who is barely standing, holding himself up on the ropes. Finally, Hodge has no choice and blows the whistle, both men lock up, and Buddy immediately takes Bob down with a body slam and flops on top for the cover, BACKLUND GETS A SHOULDER UP! Buddy stands up, and holds up 2 fingers thinking he won on points, but Hodge puts his victory arm down, no Buddy, you have to now pin your man, this isnt sumo. Buddy argues with Hodge, risking a DQ, allowing Backlund to catch a breather. Backlund staggers up, off the ropes Hodge didn’t see him go out of bounds, and BACKLUND FLIES INTO LANDELL, WHO KNOCKS HEADS WITH DANNY HODGE, OH NO! DANNY HODGE FALLS OUT OF THE RING AND BOTH WRESTLERS ARE DOWN! THERE’S NO REF!
Backlund slowly crawls over to Landell, and hooks the leg as referee Alfred Neeley runs to the ringside area to check on Hodge, while referee Jerry Usher enters the ring, and COUNTS:

PALM SLAP TO THE MAT!! BACKLUND HAS PINNED LANDELL AND PROVEN HIS POINT! BACKLUND GETS ON ONE KNEE AND RAISES HIS HAND IN VICTORY!

Wait? What is THIS? LANDELL GETS BEHIND BACKLUND, AND SCHOOLBOYS HIM, AND ROLLS HIM UP, THE REF COUNTS:
1-2-3!!!!! The ref orders the bell rung! What the hell is THIS?
Since when are there three counts in amateur wrestling?
The ref confers with Boyd Pierce as Danny Hodge is helped to his feet. Finally, Boyd Pierce announces BUDDY LANDELL AS THE WINNER, AND BOB BACKLUND CANNOT BELIEVE IT!
WINNER, 3:45 IN OVERTIME, BUDDY LANDELL
Backlund argues with the replacement ref, arguing the one count should have won the fall, no three counts. The ref argues otherwise as Danny Hodge staggers into the ring. Disgusted, Backlund storms off.
Wait. What is this? Landell walks up to Hodge, and jawjacks with the Oklahoma great, and jabs a finger into his chest! Hodge is incredulous! Then Landell makes a tremendous miscalculation:
HE SLAPS HODGE!!!!
ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? THE MAN IS A LEGEND!
Landell is very pleased with himself, and turn his back to Hodge, and raises his arms in victory!
BIG MISTAKE!
HODGE WIPES HIS LIP, THEN GETS BEHIND LANDELL, TAKES HIM DOWN LIKE A SACK OF POTATOES, AND THEN:

LANDELL ‘S FACE IS GRINDED INTO THE MAT OVER AND OVER AGAIN AS HE IS ROLLED AROUND THE RING LIKE A VACUUM CLEANER by hodge, LANDELL FINALLY ESCAPES AND LEAVES THE RING, HOLDING HIS FACE AND BACK, CURSING OUT HODGE AS THE FANS GO NUTSO!!!! FANS, BUDDY LANDELL HAS BEEN HUMILIATED BY THE UNDISPUTED KING OF OKLAHOMA WRESTLING!!!!
WE NEED TO GO TO INTERMISSION AS WE GET THE MAT OUT OF THE RING!

7. KEN MANTELL V ANDRE THE GIANT
Mantell enter the ring looking a bit out of place with his flabby body stuffed into a wrestling singlet. And now HERE COMES ANDRE! The bell rings, and Mantell goes up and starts throwing haymaker after haymaker at Andre's belly but Andre no sells! Andre picks up Mantell, and body slams him, then flops on top: 1----2----3!!! EASY WIN FOR THE EIGTH WONDER OF THE WORLD!
WAIT!!! ITS ANGELO MOSCA AND KILLER KHAN! THEY DESTROY ANDRE, AND THIS WILL BE A DQ!!! THEY LAY OUT ANDRE, AND DRAG HIM TO THE CENTER OF THE RING!
OH NO! KILLER KHAN ON THE TOP ROPE! THIS IS HOW HE INURED ANDRE BEFORE . . . .

NO!!!! HACKSAW DUGGAN AND JUNKYARD DOG ENTER THE RING AND CLEAR THE HOUSE!!! FANS, IT APPEARS THAT HACKSAW AND THE DOG ARE A UNITED FRONT ONCE AGAIN, JUST MOMENTS BEFORE THEIR TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP CHALLENGE TONIGHT HERE IN OKLAHOMA CITY!

8. MID-SOUTH TV TITLE
BUDDY ROBERTS V ERNIE LADD
Ladd claws and paws at the smaller Roberts, who does all he can to stay away from the Big Cat. Cat has the champion on the back foot, when here comes Terry Gordy, no business here at ringside. With the refs back turned Gordy throws a pair of BRASS KNUX at Roberts, who goes to use THEM, MEANWHILE GORDY GETS UP ON THE RING APRON TO DISTRACT THE REF!
ROBERTS WINDS UP . . . . . . NO! LADD BLOCKS THE PUNCH, AND THE KNUX FLY IN THE AIR, AND LADD KICKS ROBERTS IN THE FACE! ROBERTS OUT COLD! Ladd goes to cover, but Gordy gets on the ring apron, and distracts the ref!
1------2--------3-------4-------5 COME ON REF!
Ladd gets up then sees the BRASS KNUX, goes to GET THE KNUX AND SHOWS THEM TO THE CROWD AS IF HE IS GOING TO PUNCH ROBERTS! Gordy lets go of the ref.
The ref sees the TV champion, prone on the mat, OUT COLD;
He sees Ernie Ladd with the BRASS KNUX:
He puts 2 and 2 together, and gets 3, either way, THE REF ORDERS THE BELL RUNG, AND DISQUALIFIES LADD!!! AW, COME ON!!!
Gordy enters the ring, and slaps Buddy to wake him, up, BUT LOOMING BEHIND HIM, ERNIE LADD, ALL 6’10” OF HIM, AS HE SHOVES THE REF ASIDE AND GRABS GORDY BY THE HAIR!!! HE HAS THE BRASS KNUX!!! HE’S GONNA TAKE OUT GORDY! BUT THE REF GETS BETWEEN THEM, GORDY ESCAPES AND TAKES ROBERTS HIDE WITH HIM!!! ERNIE LADD DENIED FRONTIER JUSTICE HERE IN OKLAHOMA CITY!
WINNER, VIA DS, AND STILL MID SOUTH TV CHAMPION, BUDDY ROBERTS, 11:34
9. MID-SOUTH TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS
ANGELO MOSCA + KILLER KHAN V HACKSAW DUGGAN + JUNKYARD DOG
Mosca and Khan enter the ring without their manager, most likely recovering from his exhausting near ass kicking at the ham hands of one Andre the Giant. HERE COMES HACKSAW AND JYD, HACKSAW SWINGING THAT 2X4 AND THE HEELS BAIL! The ref calms down Hacksaw and takes the 2x4. The bell rings and Dog and Duggan are ON FIRE! You can just feel the excitement in the air fans! Near fall after near fall is scored, and the champs are in BIG trouble!!!
Finally, here comes Mantell back in street clothes, and Mantell orders him men out of the ring, and huddles. They regroup, and at the 5 minute mark, manage to isolate and double team and beat the bejeezus out of JYD while he reaches out for Hacksaw to make the HOT HOT tag! But there is none as the heels do a great job keeping JYD from tagging out, and there’s even the few spots where Hacksaw runs in to save his partner but the ref stops him! At the 10:45 mark, Mosca and Khan hold JYD in the corner while KEN MANTELL CHOKES HIM WITH THE TAG ROPE! THE NERVE! Hacksaw can’t TAKE IT ANYMORE!
JYD manages to slide out of the corner and give Mosca and Khan DOUBLE COCOANUTS and goes to make the HOT TAG, BUT HACKSAW ISN’T THERE! What’s going on?
HACKSAW IS AT RINGSIDE POINTING AN ACCUSING FINGER AT KEN MANTELL FOR CHOKING JYD, sticking up for his tag team partner! IN THE RING, JYD LOOKS AROUND, where is his friend? MOSCA from behind Sundays him. FINALLY, after more beatings, JYD escapes by headbutting both Killer Khan and Mosca, then goes to tag out to Hacksaw, and Duggan is there this time to accept, but not after a few choice words! JYD seems to remonstrate, “where were you?” with his arms, Hackaw points to ringside to try and explain what he was doing, JYD SHOVES HACKSAW INTO THE CORNER! Hacksaw raises his arms in the air, he doesn’t want to fight his own tag team partner, and JYD takes the tag rope and Hacksaw gets to work!
But Junkyard Dogs delay has taken away the momentum from the HOT TAG, and Khan and Mosca are ready for Hacksaw, and Hacksaw has to battle to get the upperhand. Meanwhile, what is the meaning of THIS outrage?

CYCLONE NEGRO IS ATTACKING JUNKYARD DOG ON THE APRON! JYD is thrown to the ringside area, but quickly waylays Negro, when what is this?
KEN MANTELL PULLS A 2X4 OUT FROM UNDER THE RING, AND HANDS IT TO MOSCA---
KABLAMMO!!! MOSCA NAILS JUNKYARD DOG WITH THE 2X4 FROM BEHIND, AND IT BREAKS IN HALF OVER JYDS BACK! Mosca throws the 2x4 at JYDs head, and then goes back to his corner, as Mantell walks over, takes a piece of the 2x4, and shakes it in JYDs face as he slowly staggers up! MANTELL SHAKES THE 2X4 IN HIS FACE, AND POINTS AT HACKSAW IN THE RING!!!! IT’S A TRICK, JUNKYARD, DON’T FALL FOR IT! MANTELL'S OWN MAN HIT YOU WITH IT!
JYD snatches a piece of the 2x4 from Mantells hand, Mantell backs off!!! JYD looks down at the 2x4, then up at Hacksaw, WHO BY THE WAY IS TAKING GOOD CARE OF KILLER KHAN IN THE RING! KHAN WAS LOOKING FOR A TAG, BUT MOSCA WAS TOO BUSY ATTACKING JUNKYARD DOG, the Mantell Corporation kept their eye off the ball allowing HACKSAW DUGGAN TO FOOTBALL TACKLE KHAN, HOOK THE LEG:

Hacksaw is given the belts by the referee, and Hacksaw frog marches in circles around the ring celebrating as the crowd goes nuts!!!! Mosca is incensed, and wants to go after Hacksaw, but Mantell stops him, and Mantell points to his temple, and orders him to get Khan and get out of the ring! AND FANS, here comes JUNKYARD DOG, still with the 2x4 to claim his half of the prize!!!! HACKSAW GIVES HIM HIS BELT, HUGS HIM, AND THEN TURNS AROUND and goes to the turnbuckle to raise the belt to show the fans! Meanwhile, Dog looks down at his belt . . . .

HACKSAW IS OUT COLD, AND LOOK AT KEN MANTELL OUTSIDE THE RING, HIPPETY HOPPING UP AND DOWN WITH JOY!
JYD then takes the belt, and THROWS IT ON HACKSAW, AND POINTS A FINGER AT HIM AND CURSES HIM, FOLLOWED BY THE 2X4 SPLINTER! THE FANS ARE IN STUNNED SILENCE HERE IN OKLAHOMA CITY!
Dog then steps out of the ring, there are scattered boos, but most of the fans are stunned into silence, and look at this, at ringside: MANTELL WITH THE OTHER HALF OF THE 2X4, HE SHOWS IT AND SMILES AT JYD, AND SAYS A FEW WORDS TO HIM, POINTS AT HACKSAW, AND FANS, LOOK AT THIS:
JUNKYARD DOG IS WALKING INTO THE HEEL DRESSING ROOM WITH THE MANTELL CORPORATION!
I CANT BELIEVE WHAT I AM SEEING WITH MY EYES as Tiger Conway Jr comes out to help Hacksaw up in the ring.

MICHAEL HAYES V MASKED SUPERSTAR
Masked Superstar enters the ring first then “Freebird” plays and here is your champion! You still have to wonder, fans, why Michael Hayes would insist on risking his belt against such an accomplished wrestler, but the deal has been made, the bell is rung, and it’s time to wrestle!
The fans are still buzzing over the tag team title change and Junkyard Dogs actions, so both Hayes and Superstar, both not fan favorites, will need their working boots on tonight to get the crowd back into the match, and they work extra hard with hard hitting back and forth action and many, many near falls as the fans start to get into it as Superstar has Hayes on the back foot, scoring pinfall after pinfalls, forcing Hayes to dump Superstar out of the ring in a desperate bid when what is this?
COWBOY BOB ORTON!!! BOB ORTON WAYLAYS SUPERSTAR, AND SLAMS HIS HEAD INTO THE RING POST, GETTING REVENGE ON SUPERSTAR FOR TAKING HIS TITLE SHOT AND HELPING FIRE HIM ON NATIONAL TV! Hayes keeps the ref distracted as Orton throws Superstar back into the ring, when Hayes covers:
1-2- . . . . THREE!!!!
HERE COMES TERRY GORDY AND BUDDY ROBERTS to help celebrate, and Michael Hayes points at his temple: FANS, DID MICHAEL HAYES ORCHESTRATE THIS WHOLE SCENARIO BETWEEN SUPERSTAR AND ORTON TO SAVE HIS TITLE? Knowing the diabolical mind of the North American champion, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE! SEE YOU FROM OKC!!!

Landell warily enters the ring, and Hodge orders both men at either end of the mat past the circle, and BLOWS HIS WHISTLE, we are underway, and BACKLUND SHOOTS ACROSS THE RING, AND TAKES DOWN LANDELL FOR 2 POINTS! 2-0 . . .BACKLUND rides all over Landells back as the fans laugh at Landell who crawls on his hands and knees all around the mat, before finally getting past the circle and grabbing the ropes, and Hodge orders Backlund off Landell! Landell stands up and throws a temper tantrum, stomping and kicking and throws off headgear and yells at Hodge . . . HODGE DEDUCTS A POINT!!!! 2 to -1!
Landell can’t believe it, and swipes up his headgear and puts it on, and Hodge orders Landell into the bottom of the referee’s position. He blows his whistle, and Landell tries to escape, but Backlund takes him down AGAIN, 2 points, that’s 4 to -1, and locks up Landell again, and Landell struggles to escape as Backlund is all over him, and scores near fall after near fall, THE BELL RINGS, THE PERIOD IS UP, Backlund lets go and Landell gets up, and SHOVES BACKLUND AND CLENCHES HIS FIST AT BACKLUND! HODGE GETS IN FRONT OF LANDELL AND DEDUCTS ANOTHER POINT! Landell can’t believe it, and storms out of the ring to sulk

SECOND PERIOD:
Hodge orders Landell back in the ring, Landell argues. Both men lock up, and Backlund gets behind Landell---Landell reverses, nicely done for a 2 point reversal, and we are at 4-0! SUPLEX! Another 2 points for Buddy, 4-2 Backlund, Backlund’s shoulders are down, Hodge raises his arm---Backlund gets his shoulder up before Hodge can count the fall, and Backlund wraps up Landell and gets him in a half nelson, that’s a reversal for 2 points, 6-2, Landell manages to crawl to the circle, and it’s time for the referees position again.
6-2 Backlund, referees position, Backlund on top, Landell escapes to his feet, nicely done for a point, 6-3, they lock up Backlund up and under, slams Landell, 8-3 Backlund goes for a cover---LANDELL WITH A RAKE TO THE EYES, AND THAT’S ANOTHER POINT OFF, but Backlund is blinded in his one eye! Fans, 2 more point deductions, and Landell is outta here! 8-2 Backlund, and Mr. Landell has dug himself quite a hole here.
Referees position again, Landell is able to take advantage of Backlund's loss of vision to escape and reverse for 2 points, 10-2 , Landell with a takedown, make that 10-4, he goes to cover Bob----BACKLUND REVERSES, AND ITS LANDELL FOR 2 POINTS 12-4-----HODGE SLAMS THE MAT, BUT THE BELL RINGS, IT WAS NOT IN TIME!
SCORE AFTER SECOND PERIOD: BOB BACKLUND 12, BUDDY LANDELL 4
Backlund and Hodge have an amicable discussion about the timing of the pinfall, but Hodge assures Backlund the bell rang before his hand slapped the mat. Landell argues with Backlund and Hodge wags a finger at him----------TWO MORE POINTS, BUDDY AND YOU ARE DQED!
THIRD AND FINAL PERIOD
They lock up, and no one gets an advantage, and they go out of bounds. Backlund is in the lead, so Buddy assumes the bottom of the referee’s position. Backlund rides Buddy, Buddy again crawls out of bounds, BUT WAIT! BUDDY GRABS BACKLUND’S HEADGEAR AS HE GETS UP, AND DRAGS BOTH HIM AND BOB OUT OF THE RING! Hodge immediately deducts another point making Buddy one shy of a DQ, Landell is way down at 12-3, BUT BACKLUND HAS HIT HIS UNPROTECTED HEAD ON THE ARENA FLOOR AND SEEMS STUNNED! DAMMIT, fans, Bob had proven his point, but there are normally no ringside floors to bump your head on in real college wrestling, AND IS IN TROUBLE HERE THANKS TO LANDELL'S TRICKERATIONS!
Landell throws Backlund into the ring, Hodge warns Buddy, but gee Mr. Hodge I’m just trying to help! He even throws Backlunds head gear to him, what a fine fellow. Hodge orders the referees position, and Backlund staggers and gets behind Buddy, whistle blown, Buddy immediately escapes and gets behind Backlund with a reverse, 12-5, then a half nelson takedown as Backlund is still stunned, and suddenly we are at 12-7, with 30 seconds to go. Buddy goes for a pinfall, but Bob manages to keep his shoulders up, Buddy lets go and walks out of bounds, that’s technically an escape for Backlund, 13-7. Referees position, Buddy still on bottom, and ANOTHER reversal, 13-9, and a belly to back suplex for 13-11! Bob is stunned from the head injury and cant defend himself, so Buddy just drags Bob up again, and another belly to back, 13-13 AND THE BELL RINGS WE ARE TIED AT 13 ALL! WE GO INTO OVERTIME! CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS?

OVERTIME: FIRST FALL WINS.
Danny Hodge struggles to keep Landell from bum rushing Bob Backlund, who is barely standing, holding himself up on the ropes. Finally, Hodge has no choice and blows the whistle, both men lock up, and Buddy immediately takes Bob down with a body slam and flops on top for the cover, BACKLUND GETS A SHOULDER UP! Buddy stands up, and holds up 2 fingers thinking he won on points, but Hodge puts his victory arm down, no Buddy, you have to now pin your man, this isnt sumo. Buddy argues with Hodge, risking a DQ, allowing Backlund to catch a breather. Backlund staggers up, off the ropes Hodge didn’t see him go out of bounds, and BACKLUND FLIES INTO LANDELL, WHO KNOCKS HEADS WITH DANNY HODGE, OH NO! DANNY HODGE FALLS OUT OF THE RING AND BOTH WRESTLERS ARE DOWN! THERE’S NO REF!
Backlund slowly crawls over to Landell, and hooks the leg as referee Alfred Neeley runs to the ringside area to check on Hodge, while referee Jerry Usher enters the ring, and COUNTS:

Backlund argues with the replacement ref, arguing the one count should have won the fall, no three counts. The ref argues otherwise as Danny Hodge staggers into the ring. Disgusted, Backlund storms off.

With the refs back turned Gordy throws a pair of BRASS KNUX at Roberts, who goes to use THEM, MEANWHILE GORDY GETS UP ON THE RING APRON TO DISTRACT THE REF!
ROBERTS WINDS UP . . . . . . NO! LADD BLOCKS THE PUNCH, AND THE KNUX FLY IN THE AIR, AND LADD KICKS ROBERTS IN THE FACE! ROBERTS OUT COLD! Ladd goes to cover, but Gordy gets on the ring apron, and distracts the ref!
1------2--------3-------4-------5 COME ON REF!
Ladd gets up then sees the BRASS KNUX, goes to GET THE KNUX AND SHOWS THEM TO THE CROWD AS IF HE IS GOING TO PUNCH ROBERTS! Gordy lets go of the ref.
The ref sees the TV champion, prone on the mat, OUT COLD;
He sees Ernie Ladd with the BRASS KNUX:
He puts 2 and 2 together, and gets 3, either way, THE REF ORDERS THE BELL RUNG, AND DISQUALIFIES LADD!!! AW, COME ON!!!
Gordy enters the ring, and slaps Buddy to wake him, up, BUT LOOMING BEHIND HIM, ERNIE LADD, ALL 6’10” OF HIM, AS HE SHOVES THE REF ASIDE AND GRABS GORDY BY THE HAIR!!! HE HAS THE BRASS KNUX!!! HE’S GONNA TAKE OUT GORDY! BUT THE REF GETS BETWEEN THEM, GORDY ESCAPES AND TAKES ROBERTS HIDE WITH HIM!!! ERNIE LADD DENIED FRONTIER JUSTICE HERE IN OKLAHOMA CITY!

ANGELO MOSCA + KILLER KHAN V HACKSAW DUGGAN + JUNKYARD DOG
Mosca and Khan enter the ring without their manager, most likely recovering from his exhausting near ass kicking at the ham hands of one Andre the Giant. HERE COMES HACKSAW AND JYD, HACKSAW SWINGING THAT 2X4 AND THE HEELS BAIL! The ref calms down Hacksaw and takes the 2x4. The bell rings and Dog and Duggan are ON FIRE! You can just feel the excitement in the air fans! Near fall after near fall is scored, and the champs are in BIG trouble!!!
Finally, here comes Mantell back in street clothes, and Mantell orders him men out of the ring, and huddles. They regroup, and at the 5 minute mark, manage to isolate and double team and beat the bejeezus out of JYD while he reaches out for Hacksaw to make the HOT HOT tag! But there is none as the heels do a great job keeping JYD from tagging out, and there’s even the few spots where Hacksaw runs in to save his partner but the ref stops him! At the 10:45 mark, Mosca and Khan hold JYD in the corner while KEN MANTELL CHOKES HIM WITH THE TAG ROPE! THE NERVE! Hacksaw can’t TAKE IT ANYMORE!
JYD manages to slide out of the corner and give Mosca and Khan DOUBLE COCOANUTS and goes to make the HOT TAG, BUT HACKSAW ISN’T THERE! What’s going on?
HACKSAW IS AT RINGSIDE POINTING AN ACCUSING FINGER AT KEN MANTELL FOR CHOKING JYD, sticking up for his tag team partner! IN THE RING, JYD LOOKS AROUND, where is his friend? MOSCA from behind Sundays him. FINALLY, after more beatings, JYD escapes by headbutting both Killer Khan and Mosca, then goes to tag out to Hacksaw, and Duggan is there this time to accept, but not after a few choice words! JYD seems to remonstrate, “where were you?” with his arms, Hackaw points to ringside to try and explain what he was doing, JYD SHOVES HACKSAW INTO THE CORNER! Hacksaw raises his arms in the air, he doesn’t want to fight his own tag team partner, and JYD takes the tag rope and Hacksaw gets to work!
But Junkyard Dogs delay has taken away the momentum from the HOT TAG, and Khan and Mosca are ready for Hacksaw, and Hacksaw has to battle to get the upperhand. Meanwhile, what is the meaning of THIS outrage?

MANTELL SHAKES THE 2X4 IN HIS FACE, AND POINTS AT HACKSAW IN THE RING!!!! IT’S A TRICK, JUNKYARD, DON’T FALL FOR IT! MANTELL'S OWN MAN HIT YOU WITH IT!
JYD snatches a piece of the 2x4 from Mantells hand, Mantell backs off!!! JYD looks down at the 2x4, then up at Hacksaw, WHO BY THE WAY IS TAKING GOOD CARE OF KILLER KHAN IN THE RING! KHAN WAS LOOKING FOR A TAG, BUT MOSCA WAS TOO BUSY ATTACKING JUNKYARD DOG, the Mantell Corporation kept their eye off the ball allowing HACKSAW DUGGAN TO FOOTBALL TACKLE KHAN, HOOK THE LEG:

Masked Superstar enters the ring first then “Freebird” plays and here is your champion! You still have to wonder, fans, why Michael Hayes would insist on risking his belt against such an accomplished wrestler, but the deal has been made, the bell is rung, and it’s time to wrestle!
The fans are still buzzing over the tag team title change and Junkyard Dogs actions, so both Hayes and Superstar, both not fan favorites, will need their working boots on tonight to get the crowd back into the match, and they work extra hard with hard hitting back and forth action and many, many near falls as the fans start to get into it as Superstar has Hayes on the back foot, scoring pinfall after pinfalls, forcing Hayes to dump Superstar out of the ring in a desperate bid when what is this?
COWBOY BOB ORTON!!! BOB ORTON WAYLAYS SUPERSTAR, AND SLAMS HIS HEAD INTO THE RING POST, GETTING REVENGE ON SUPERSTAR FOR TAKING HIS TITLE SHOT AND HELPING FIRE HIM ON NATIONAL TV! Hayes keeps the ref distracted as Orton throws Superstar back into the ring, when Hayes covers:
