So funny story.....
Found a wet spot on my carpet, figured the kids dropped their cup so I cleaned it up and went about my day.
A couple of hours later, wet spot is back.
So I investigate by pulling out the couch and under the couch is soaked. Remove the carpet, find the pad is soaked and the wall is soaked near the floor.
My downstairs is a totally open, except slap in the middle of it all is a square box that holds a 1/2 bath. Seems that when they built my house 12 years ago some idiot screwed a screw to attach my vanity in the bathroom and connected with the cold water pipe for the sink. So after 12 years I guess the water wore down the screw enough that it broke free and started seeping water out through the wall.
That entire box is soaked on the bottom by the floor, the vanity is destoryed underneath. So I figured, no biggie, my brother in laws are in remodeling, my wife works for a high end construction company, we got this. Call the Home Insurance people, they send out an Emergency Mitigation guy who takes a look at everything, and says "MOLD!!!!" and leaves quickly.
So since my son and I both have COPD, the insurance company is putting us up in a hotel for the next week which may or may not have wifi access, while they remove the mold. I am going to try and find a way to be online since I have a phone that is much like it's owner, not very smart, I can't use it to get online.
And I just got a new freezer that I filled with very unhealth bar food type snack and a Playstation 4..........

Remember, just like Jesse Ventura, the Obama drones can find you.
In all seriousness, I hope you get things straightened out.

Sorry to hear the news on leak and mold. Never a good thing to be displaced BUT hopefully, it is a short stay while you get it all fixed.
