Matches taped on February 8, 1985 to air across the territory on February 15, 1985. at the studios of KMSP TV in Minneapolis. Rod Trongard on commentary and Ken Resnick as ring announcer and interviewer.
After the opening, Ken Resnick stands in front of the AWA logo.
RESNICK: welcome to ALL STAR WRESTLING. This week, we might have one of our best programs ever! Steve “Dr. Death” Williams will defend the World Title against the Russian, Boris Zhukov! You’ll see Curt Hennig, who has declared war on Paul Ellering’s Legion Of Doom, take on a member of that group when he wrestles “Mr. Magnificent” Kevin Kelly! The World tag Team Champions are here! The Samoans are here, but right now, we have a match featuring one of the top wrestlers in the world!
MR.SAITO VS. JIM POWERS:Sheik Adnan El Kaissey brings the great Japanese star to the ring. Powers obviously has a ton of potential, but Saito is just too much. Saito pins Powers after the Saito suplex.
RESNICK: I’m joined by the World Champion, Steve “Dr. Death” Williams and his advisor, Bob Roop. Mr. Saito is impressive and you will defend the World Title against another one of Adnan’s men, Boris Zhukov, later today!
WILLIAMS: Yeah, I’ve got the Russian later today! I’m an American and I’m very proud of that fact! I don’t like communists and I don’t like sheiks! I don’t like anybody who runs down my country!
ADNAN AND SAITO HAVE ENTERED THE INTERVIEW AREA!
ADNAN: You fool! You signed an open contract for Chicago at the Rosemont Horizon on February 23rd! I have signed that contract for the Japanese Torture Machine, MR.SAITO! Today, you must wrestle Zhukov! The World Title will belong to the Sheik!
WILLIAMS: The belt is staying around my American waist, you idiot! Bring on the Russian, bring on Saito, bring King Kong or Godzilla for all I care! I’m the World Champion and nothing you can do will change that!
ROOP: Sheik, I’m warning you: If you try to steal the World belt from Dr. Death, you’ll have to deal with me!

RESNICK: I’m joined by the Samoans. These three men say that they are the best three man team in the world and, thus far, nobody has proved otherwise!
SIKA: We want all of the great AWA promoters to bring in the best teams from all over the world! That includes the Platinum Club, any three men Adnan can put together, any three men Ellering can put together, or anybody else!
SAMU: We want competition, baby! I saw Rick Martel team up with Curt & Larry Hennig not long ago! They were great, but I know we are better! Promoters sign that match! Any three men, ken!
AFA: Japan, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Canada, or anywhere else! We’ll prove ourselves against any team they throw at us! Lord James Blears, you have known SIka and I for many years! You know that we are proud men and that pride comes from being number 1! Bring us competition!

AWA WORLD TAG CHAMPIONS TONY ATLAS &BUTCH REED VS. CHRIS MARKOFF & FRANKIE DEFALCO: “Mr. USA” & “the Hacksaw” are dominating the action when Paul Ellering & the Road Warriors show up at ringside! Atlas presses DeFalco over his head for a big slam and Hawk & animal attack! The Warriors give the tag champs a vicious beating as Ellering applauds at ringside! Finally, Curt Hennig, Rick Martel, and Jim Powers manage to make the save!
RESNICK: I’m joined by Paul Ellering and the Road Warriors…
ANIMAL: Atlas and Reed, you idiots have signed to put the belts on the line in Chicago, our home town, in a Chicago Street Fight! That’s just a taste of what you can expect!
HAWK: Our kind of match in our hometown! I guess that just makes you two guys….STUPID! Good for us, bad for you! We’re taking those belts back! You won them on a fluke and you’ll lose them after the worst beating of your lives!
ELLERING: Atlas & Reed, the first black World tag Team Champions! After February 23, the first black ex-Tag Team Champions!HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

RESNICK: I’m here with the former World Champion Rick Martel. Rick, many of the fans of the AWA are wondering: What is next for Rick martel?
MARTEL: Ken, of course, I want to be World Champion. Steve Williams is a great wrestler and I respect him. I know when the time is right, he will give me a match for the championship! In Chicago, on February 23rd, I get my first chance for a rematch with the man who beat me for the title, Superstar Graham! I want this match for the fans and also because I need to prove to myself that I can beat the Superstar!
RESNICK: I’m sure it will be a great match and, if you win, I have to think that it will put you at the top of the rankings!
MARTEL: That is my goal: To be on top once again!
CURT HENNIG VS. KEVIN KELLY: Curt Hennig takes on “Mr. Magnificent” in a battle between two of the young lions in the AWA. Larry Hennig joins Rod Trongard on commentary and basically cheerleads for Curt! Paul Ellering joins them as an uninvited guest and badmouths the Hennigs for interfering in Legion business. Ellering says that if “the Ax” had disciplined Curt as a child that he wouldn’t be such a punk as an adult! The ekder Hennuig can’t take that and he starts beating on Ellering! The Barbarian runs out and nails Larry from behind! Then, Barbarian runs in and joins Kelly in a beatdown of Curt! Ellering takes of his belt and hands it to the Barbarian! As Kelly holds Hennig, the Barbarian whips Curt with the belt! Finally< Martel, Reed, & Atlas run in and send the Legion guys running for cover! Curt Hennig has the ring announcer’s mic!
CURT: Barbarian, here’s what we’re going to do: We’re going to get a ten foot long leather strap! One end is tied to your wrist and one end to mine! We’ll see how you like to take a whipping! And, as for you, Ellering: You’ll be tied to the Ax with a strap at ringside! All of my friends, men like Tony, Butch, Martel,Steve O, and Pez will have straps at ringside to keep any of your Legion Of Doom buddies from getting involved!

AWA WORLD TITLE MATCH: STEVE “DR. Death” WILLIMAS VS. BORIS ZHUKOV: Zhukov gives Dr. Death a pretty good bout, but Williams hits the Oklahoma Stampede and it looks like it’s all over! On…Two…Thr…MR. SAITO HITS THE RING! Saito gives the champ the Saito suplex! Bob Roop is trying to get in the ring to help Dr. Death…NO! The Nightmare attacks him from behind! Sheik Adnan is yelling instructions as Saito attacks Williams and the Nightmare works over Roop! Adnan finally calls his men off and the World Champ and his advisor are left laying!
RESNICK: This is a bad scene!
ADNAN: It will end the same way in Chicago and the World Title will be mine!
