Interesting that Roberts wasn't there. Adonis with an injury bears watching. Mantell is going to regret using that whip on the DWB. Sweet Sensation continues to look phenomenal.

The Sensations do indeed continue to impress, the Moondogs are a serious measuring stick for the tandem and really present a different facet for the team. They come out lookin pretty with fluffy hair and the girls going crazy, it could be easy to lose the male fans, especially in Memphis with the RnR's in the area. Putting them in a wild series with the Moondogs off the bat is a great decision.
That 6 man from RnR's/Travis vs. First Family was unbelievable, what a great match. You just keep adding matches to this library of the RnR/Adonis&Rude feud. That is exactly what fantasy is all about. Not just something you like, but something that would work beyond a shadow of a doubt. There is no doubt that this feud would be as well worked as anything going on in 1985 and take up a ton of space in the Apter mags. Definitely interesting that Snake wasn't around. The MSC crowd would have EXPLODED when King came out. Awesome stuff.
Peace Jeff

Sweet Sensation's win stands out here. A win over The Moondogs in Memphis in 1985 is a big feather in the cap. The obvious was touched on in the last feedback of the comparison to the Rock n Roll Express, but I think if you play that properly, that could be what takes this team to the next level. That match has a feel to it that could go months off and on, if not years. But you have so many teams here, it is good that you are not rushing into that or anything and giving Lane & Michaels time to develop their own persona first, even if similar. Not to mention how much the return of The Bruise Brothers here shakes up the tag division. You could pair them with pretty much any tag team you have right now and it could be turned into a good feud.
Mantel and Anthony seems it might be very close to a gimmick match involving the whip if this was not the blow off here. You know I have been a big fan of this, so if it keeps going, I would be last to complain. The Dirty White Boy character seems like it could really get over in this era of Memphis, and even in defeat, the rub of being competitive with Mantel is really bringing him up.
Really a reoccurring trend here. Travis on paper assuming having read nothing before would sort of stand out a bit going with those 5 in 1985, not too much but a bit. Under your writing though and the work you have done with him, I don't even think twice about whether or not he can hang with them. Lost to Gilbert on TV, but gets a pseudo win back in the 6 man here. More importantly than that, the RnR get a win back to continue that feud. Memphis was always a place where guys sometimes had reigns of weeks or less on a regular basis, so unlike some places where short reigns don't work, you really never know here what is going to happen in a rematch for the titles.
Lawler's ringside return here does what it had to. A punch, little else is needed as the fans would already be electric out there. Roberts not being there probably means a great interview explaining why is coming. It will be interesting to see how much of a leash you give the Lawler vs Roberts match. Memphis always seemed to have little patience with building stuff because with every card on a Monday in the same building, booking usually just goes with whatever is going to draw best that coming week, but you have a good assortment of guys that you can hold it off a bit and keep building interest if you want.
Another good quick read.
