Wild West Wrestling
Friday, February 14, 1985
The Fairgrounds Arena, Carson City, NV
*non-televised house show
1) Jerry Oske & Johnny Wilhoit defeated Billy Anderson & Scott McGhee at 12:19 when Oske side stepped Anderson's sunset flip attempt and then quickly followed up with an Oklahoma side roll to tie up and pin Billy before he could get his bearings back.
2) 'Wildman' Jack Armstrong pinned Jimmy Backlund at 6:48 following a big running knee lift.
3) 'Stylin' Mark Ragin & George Wells defeated The Interns #1 & #2 at 11:55 when Wells pinned Intern #1 with a flying football tackle. The Interns were some larger-sized, pudgy men, but appeared to know there way around a ring quite well.
INTERMISSION
4) Jacques & Armand Rougeau defeated the veteran duo of Duke Myers & Rene Goulet at 15:27 when Armand pinned Myers after Jacques used his arms to front flip Armand from the top rope onto his prone opponent. Goulet attempted to return to the ring and make the save, but Jacques was able to cut him off and prevent that from happening.
5) Jos LeDuc defeated Harley Race by disqualification at 13:14 when Race was disqualified for back dropping LeDuc over the top rope when he reversed Jos' pile driver attempt. Neither man seemed very pleased with the result as Race didn't like losing and LeDuc was angry about being tossed to the floor. It looked like both men were about to come to blows again after the match, but referees, officials and other wrestlers got between them and kept it from happening.
6) Davey Boy Smith pinned Bret Hart at 21:16 when he blocked Hart's attempt at a snap suplex with his foot/leg and then countered it with an inside cradle for the fall. Both men went at each other in a match that was both a hard-hitting and scientific affair. It is clear that these two men are very competitive and evenly matched.
