Match 1
Ref: Mac Murray
Scott Armstrong locked horns with the up-and-coming commodity that’s gracing studio wrestling rings nationwide, Jimmy Backlund. The two Junior Heavyweights matched up very well with one another and Jimmy gave a great accounting for himself, but the flying shoulder block delivered from the second rope on the inside by Scottie Armstrong was too much to overcome on this occasion at a time of 8’31.

We return from break and Prof. Malenko is out with his robo… sons, Dean and Josef, and his final solution, Checkmate. Vell it seems as though the Porkah has a bit of knee trovble, tonight these simple minded Alabamvians bear vitness to more trouble for precious champvion. Josef, Dean, and my Checkmate have explicit instruction for ze Dothvan main event, Porkah vill not make defense next veek, Check, Mr. Cash, and mate.
Match 2
Ref: Bobby Simmons
The Tonga Kid waged war with the Ragin Bull Randy Barber. Barber and Backlund have been doing most of their work as a tag team here in SECW, but proved their worth as singles wrestlers as well giving stiff challenges to two of the top wrestlers in the Southeast. Barber used his rough house style to lead a good portion of the match, but the devastating standing savate kick to the much was more than he could withstand and the Kid finished him off with a Superfly Splash at 9’02.

The six man main event is underway was we return from break and the Stable has young Marty Jannetty in the wrong part of town! Double A is taking his time and enjoying beating the snot out of the “young punk,” which he follows up with dragging the referee to the opposite corner to restrain Austin Idol as Anderson spits at him! Golden, Stubbs, and Arn now triple team the young Rebel, depriving him of the oxygen that these great athletes require to fuel their bodies. Now it’s Jimmy Golden taking the kid to school, grinding on Jannetty’s neck, delivering sickening blows to the back of the young man’s head. Jannetty needs to make a tag and fast.
Golden misses a knee drop as Jannetty rolls. Marty rolls again and Golden crashes knee first into the mat once more. Jannetty manages to get to his feet, basement dropkick to the nose of the kneeling Golden! Now’s his chance, aaaaaaaand Jannetty makes the tag to Prichard!
Dropkick for Arn, bodyslam for Stubbs, shoulder tackle for Golden. Double clothesline sends the Perfection Connection over the top rope and to the floor! Prichard clubs away at Golden and slams him into the Rebels and Idol’s corner! He tags in the Boss! Idol is all farred up and beating Golden from pillar to post! Idol has an elbow ready for Anderson as he charges in, and Jannetty has a dropkick for Stubbs. The Midnight Rebels and Perfection Connection have hooked it up while Idol and Golden are going at it as well, IT’S PANDEMONIUM!!

We return from break and Arn Anderson has his bicep tightly wrapped around the chin of the Southeastern Heavyweight Champion, Idol’s neck crimped, the flow of blood to the brain diminishing by the second. The Midnight Rebels begin stomping the ringside steps and the Dothan crowd responds in kind. As Idol starts the blood pumpin through his massive biceps, double A releases the chinlock and drops an elbow to the trapezous, follows it up with another, Idol catches the third, and powers back to his feet!
Austin Idol is upright and meets Anderson with a big right, Anderson responds, left from Anderson, they’re duking it out in the center of the ring! Both men bounce against farside ropes, and WHAM! They bang heads and go down like a sack of potatoes. Slowly, surely, they inch their way to their respective corners, Arn gets there first and tags in Mr. Perfect Jerry Stubbs! He charges, Idol lunges, HE REACHES JANNETTY!
Marty Jannetty comes in fists and fire, a split dropkick drops Anderson and Golden from the apron, and the Dothan crowd explodes with excitement. Jannetty backs Stubbs into the corner and fires away, he ascends to the middle rope, FLYING HEADSCISSORS out of the corner, Stubbs staggers to his feet, running shoulder tackle drops him again. This time Jannetty catches him with a standing dropkick to the teeth, he hooks the leg,

Alabama Heavyweight Champion Porkchop Cash is coming off a submission loss and is highly favoring his knee, teamed up with his protégé Brickhouse Brown and their friend Larry Hamilton to take on the man responsible for that injury, Checkmate and the Amazing Malenko Brothers in a match paced the polar opposite of the semi-final. The Malenko’s, Hamilton, and Brown kept a break neck pace that saw the youngsters fight with a ton of heart, but were outgunned by the grappling superiority of their Soviet counter-parts, Josef and Dean. The Choppa couldn’t stand no more, tagged himself in and ran into the Professor’s ultimate solution, Checkmate, once again. The masked man further punished Cash’s injured knee and locked him in the Inverted Communist Death Lock and garnered a SECOND SUBMISSION VICOTRY over the Alabama Champion at 16’22
