Lowrance, "Welcome to 'Championship Sports' and 'Saturday Night Wrestling'! We have another exciting 90 minutes of action for you tonight. Our main event features, Lance Von Erich vs. The Great Kabuki, Von Erichs vs. Gary Hart, the war continues. You will also see, the Texas Champion, Gino Hernandez in action. Kevin and Kerry Von Erich will be in tag team action. Let's go to Joe Rinelli in the ring."



Match #1

The Magic Dragon vs. Mark Ragin



The mysterious masked man from Macau takes pn the exciting young rookie. Ragin puts up a good fight, but the Dragon is too tough. He uses the rolling sleeper for the win.

Match #2

World Class Television Championship

Iceman King Parsons (Champion) vs. Mike Reed



Reed is the lucky man tonight, maybe. he waits, with referee Bronko Lubich, in the ring. The music hits.






Iceman dances to the ring. The bell rings and the man from St. Louis takes over. He overwhelms the youngster. Reed tries some illegal tactics, but they don't work. Parsons hits the butt bump for the win.

All four Von Erichs are with Marc Lowrance.



Lowrance, With me are the Von Erichs. Gentlemen, you have been very busy of late and tonight is no different. Lance, you take on Kabuki tonight. That will be a challenge.”



Lance, “Kabuki is very dangerous and one of the best. That’s why I want to wrestle him. I came to Texas to join my family and wrestle the top competition.”



Lowrance, “The rest of you have the Six Man Titles to defend, Kerry, you have the American Heavyweight Title and Hart’s men are hot on you trail.”



Kerry, “A lot of people want this title, but with the fans behind me, no one is going to take it!”



Lowrance, “Let’s see Kerry and Kevin in action.”



Match #3

The Davidson Brothers vs. Kerry and Kevin Von Erich



The big bikers from California have returned to Texas. The crowd comes to their feet as we hear,






Kerry and Kevin come down the aisle. They enter the ring and the crowd gets louder. The bell rings and the match begins. It’s Rick and Kerry to open the contest. Davidson tries to rough up the American Heavyweight Champion. Kerry fights back and we have a brawl. John tags in and tries to his luck. He fares no better. Kevin tags in and uses the Von Erich claw to win the match.

Gary Hart, the Great Kabuki, Gino Hernandez and Sunshine are with Marc Lowrance.



Lowrance, “With me are Gary Hart, Sunshine and two of their men. Mr. Hart, Kabuki takes on Lance Von Erich tonight. Lance has quickly made a name for himself since arriving in Texas.”



Hart, “You know something. Lowrance, I always thought Mike was the runt of the litter. Now they bring in this cousin, and they think they can go up against Kabuki, Gino, Bart and Chris! Texas is going to belong to us in very short order.”



Lowrance, “Mr. Hernandez, you are still the Texas Champion, but Kevin Von Erich is hot on your trail.”



Hernandez, “First of all, I am your Champion! Don’t forget that! Now about Von Erich, like Gary said, what a bunch of worthless losers! There is no way Kevin is taking this title from me. I represent Texas and the redneck, beer swilling, morons in this state need me to represent them!”



Lowrance, “Kind words from the Champion. Let’s go to the ring for Gino Hernandez and Skip Young.”



Match #4

Texas Championship

Gino Hernandez (Champion) w/”Playboy” Gary Hart and Sunshine vs. Skip Young



Young and referee Bronko Lubich wait in the ring. We hear,






Hernandez struts to the ring. The lovely Sunshine has some unkind words for the ringside fans. Skip Young will be a stern test for the Champion. The bell rings and the minister’s son goes to work. He uses his speed to control the early action. Gino is frustrated and takes to the floor to confer with Hart and Sunshine. Hernandez returns to the ring. Skip is still on fire, but Hernandez is ready this time. He fights back and Young is in trouble. The end comes when Gino hits an elbow drop for the win.

Marc Lowrance is seated at the announce table.



Lowrance, “Let’s look at this.”






We see a still photo of Texas Stadium.






Lowrance, “Fans, the second annual ‘David Von Erich Memorial Parade of Champions’ will take place, at Texas Stadium, on Sunday, April 27, 1985. And it can be confirmed that Ric Flair, the NWA World Champion, will be in Arlington that afternoon! Fans, this will be another monumental event in wrestling history. Tickets go on sale, this week, at all ticket outlets. When we return, the main event will be in the ring.”



Match #5, Two out of Three Falls

Lance Von Erich vs. The Great Kabuki w/”Playboy” Gary Hart and Sunshine



First Fall-Kabuki starts slowly. He knows he can’t match quickness with Lance, but he can use his martial arts skills. Kabuki backs Von Erich into a corner and goes to work. He chops and kicks away and Lance is in trouble. Hart and Sunshine shout instructions. Lance fights back, but Kabuki is too much and he ends the fall with a thrust kick.

Winner-The Great Kabuki



Second Fall-Hart and Sunshine are confident. Lance has his back to the wall and comes out firing on all cylinders. He takes the fight to Kabuki. The man from Singapore tries all his tricks, but Lance is too much. He uses a victory roll to even the match.

Winner-Lance Von Erich



Third Fall-This is a brawl from the opening bell. There is very little time left in the program and time runs out before anyone can win a fall.

Result-Time Limit Draw



Marc Lowrance closes the show.



Lowrance, “What a night of action! World Class in 1985 is at the top of the wrestling world, and it’s gets even better next week. Our main event will be a Texas Title match. Gino Hernandez defends the title against Kevin Von Erich. What a match!”

Wow! Lot's of fun stuff here. Kerry and Kevin were such a good tag team, that carrying younger brothers and cousins in 6-man's got in the way of that from time to time. Great TV match with the Davidsons. Gino and SBS is an outstanding pairing, I really believe that they'd put on a helluva match. Lance getting a TLD with Kabuki is irritating to me, but knowing you, I believe it leads to a bigger picture, could it possibly end up with a Kabuki/Khan/Bart trio? Or even have Bart move to Akbar and Hart pick up another Asian, the Dynamic Duo backed up by 3 Asian's and the Von Erich's won't have any titles left to contend for.

I like Khan here, I really do. He can fit with Akbar, he can fit with Hart, or even a 3rd party. You have a lot of monsters around here and maybe a Killer Tim Brooks/Black Bart team could work as babyfaces alongside the PYT's. And of course all of this stuff I'm mentioning can be WAAAAY off the mark, the one thing I know I can trust about your work Tom, is that no matter how far off the mark my predictions might be, you will make it highly entertaining.

And just for shits and giggles, I'm begging for a PYT vs. Dynamic Duo match up, preferable a 2/3 falls encounter, oh yeah! Just a selfish request from one of your biggest fans

I can't wait for the Parade of Champions. Can't wait to see who Flair ends up working against. Kerry, Kevin, Gino, Adams, hell even Iceman would all produce strong wrestling matches. Flair taking on Kabuki or Kamala or Link or one of the Irwin's would be fun to see in the build up, not sure they could challenge for the title, but you do have plenty of time if you wanted one of them to challenge.

Heck you could go totally mind-blowing and have Flair come in to assist Kerry, Kevin, and Lance. So many avenues to travel with bringing the champ in, I can't wait to see how the spring plays out in World Class.

You know when I first joined the WCFL I wanted to give Magic Dragon with a manager a big push as my top heel in Hawaii against Superfly Tui but Red talked me out of it and somehow convinced me to run Levi Banks vs. Bill White as my top feud, I still kinda wish I could have done the Dragon-Tui feud. Anyway, I just think of that whenever I see Dragon on a show.

Liked the main event of Lance vs. Kabuki, I'd like to see Kabuki team with Black Bart to take on Lance and maybe Kevin, or Kabuki and Gino vs. Lance and Kevin, that would be some real fun. Another great win for the Iceman but I hope he was watching that Battle Royal at the end of the show, cause I think Killer Khan maybe the next man to be challenging him for that TV Title, and that is going to be no easy task. The way you have booked World Class I could see any number of people having a legit claim on the World Title match with Flair at the Parade, so i am really interested to see who you decide will face him, you really can't go wrong with anyone you pick.

For the record, you killed it with that Levi/White feud. Even if Tui/Dragon would've been better. I hadn't heard that story before, Dragon would've been such a great heel for you. I've tried many times to figure out a way to push him, but by the time I was running Sat's to where I could push anyone with a good story, Dragon was too old. I love how Tom has been using him. He sets the bar, is the gatekeeper for babyfaces.

And I so totally agree about the Parade of Champions. Flair could come in a babyface, help the Von Erich's in a big gimmick match on Day 1 of the Parade, and then have a babyface match against a Von Erich day two, or take on a heel day 2. You can bring Flair in and have him pay Akbar to take out Kerry or Kevin. A million highly entertaining routes to take the World Title match. And Flair can work great matches with anyone, from Kamala and Khan to Bill Irwin and Koko Ware to Dynamic Duo or the Von Erich's. You can pull any of that off big T. That's the genius of what you've been doing. Your TV sets up killer sell outs at all your house shows and sets you up to do anything with high profile visitors. Just great, great booking.

Thanks so much for the kind words. I will admit that I'm mulling over several ideas for the POC. All of you have given me some things to think about. I'll get with Kimmel and run some ideas by him. I am really looking forward to building this show.

If'n you want anyone from the Florida roster to make an appearance at the POC they'll come runnin, well Cornette might not he says he won't ever step foot in Texas, but I bet we can make 'em.

World Class is great every week. Nothin is goin to get settled tween the Von Erich's and Gary Hart's stable any time soon. I'm dyin to see a Survivor Series style 8 man tag tween Kerry, Kevin, Mike Lance and Gino, Adams, Bart, Kabuki. That stuff would be friggin rockin.

Iceman is kinda the MVP round these parts each week he comes in and wins against anyone who he goes up against.
