Gorilla Monsoon: Welcome back wrestling fans to WWF - RAW! Let me start by saying, two weeks ago, a lot of people didn't expect us to be here...

Bobby Heenan: I did, I have connections.

Monsoon: Of course you do Brain, but to everyone else who didn't know, we're still standing thanks to the man who is in the ring, right now, Shane McMahon!

Shane McMahon:Let me start by saying, the demise of the WWF has been greatly exaggerated. Before I go into the WWF's future, give me a moment to go into it's past. Over 70 years ago, my great grandfather started promoting fights, right here in New York City, and up and down the east coast. He was the first promoter to bring professional wrestling to Madison Square Garden, which is now known as the Mecca for fights. My grandfather, Vincent J McMahon, started the company which would become known as the World Wrestling Federation. My father, continued that tradition, growing it to what you see today. And today, I stand before you, ready to carry on over 70 years of tradition. I've heard the whispers already. "Shane's too young, Shane's just keeping the seat warm until his dad is freed" and let me tell you, thats bull. I've grown up in this business. I've set up the ring, I've carred robes. I've refereed. I've kept time. I've sold t-shirts, and last week, I put together a group of investors to keep the WWF in the McMahon family now, and forever. You won't see much more of me, but I guarantee you, that the WWF will continue it's tradition of bringing you the best names in professional Wrestling.

Monsoon: Well, there you have it Brain, Shane McMahon.

Heenan: Enough with the business talk Monsoon. Lets talk about tonights RAW.

Monsoon: We have a special main event tonight, the WWF Tag Team Champions, The Quebeccers will be defending those very belts against Hacksaw Duggan and Marty Janetty. Plus the World Tag Team Cham.... well, it looks like my notes are a bit off, I just let you know about that match.

Heenan: My sources tell me Stunning Steve Austin will be appearing on RAW tonight along with his manager, Diamond Dallas Page.

Monsoon: Not only Steve Austing, but John Hawk, an up and coming youngster out of Texas will be making his debut in a WWF ring tonight, and Intercontinental Champion Razor Ramon will be in non title action. Let's head to the ring where the Brooklyn Brawler awaits Crush.

Crush vs. Brooklyn Brawler

Crush makes quick work of the Brawler in the opening match, winning via pin.

Returning to the show, we see a short vignette of John Hawk at his Texas ranch, telling the fans of the WWF that they'd better watch out.

John Hawk vs. Duke "The Dumpster" Drose

Hawk is impressive in his WWF debut, pinning Drose following a neck crunching Lariat.

We go backstage, where the stunning Alexandra York is standing outside a dressing room door with a giant star on it. Next to her is Diamond Dallas Page. York asks if she can have a word with Steve Austin and is denied access to his room. Page says she can watch on TV with the rest of the world when Steve is ready.

When we return from commercial, Gorilla Monsoon is in the ring with a microphone.

Monsoon: Well fans, here is the man we've been waiting all night to hear from, lets welcome to the WWF Stunning Steve Austin.

Austin and his entourage make their way to the ring. Led by Diamond Dallas Page, Austin is wearing jeans and a blue sequined vest, the back of which says Super and has a picture of a star under it. Austin is also accompanied to the ring by

Monsoon holds up the microphone for Page.

DDP: Without any further ado, I bring to you the  the biggest star in all of wresting, Superstar Steve Austin!!!

Austin: (off mic but audible) Liz, your in my light here, why don't you go stand over in the corner. For those who don't know, my name is Stunning Steve Austin, the biggest Superstar this sport has to offer.  I've wrestled where the big boys play, and let me tell you, they're boys, they play, and I'm a man who comes to fight. I've wrestled in world class area's, I took their women, I beat their best, and I left 'em high n dry. Speaking of taking their women, you see the lovely lady to my left. I know you see her, and if your macho enough, why not make your way up road, I know you hear me, why not try to snap into this. Enough about what I'm going to do to other people. Let's talk about what I'm going to do to the WWF.  I learned something wrestling in barns and TV studios down south, and that's the best will never wrestle me, so I'm putting you all on notice, the Superstar is here, and I'm going to take what I want, when I want.

Monsoon: We have to head back to the announce table, why don't you join us Steve, and check out the competition here in the WWF. I'm sure it's a bit more than you've seen down south.

Monsoon and Austin make their way down to the table while the contenstents for the next match make their way to the ring.

Intercontinental Champion Razor Ramon vs. Big Rick Fuller - non title match

Fuller waits in the ring for Ramon. As Razor swaggers down to the ring, he gets into a staredown with Austin, before flicking his toothpick at him.

As Fuller and Ramon get ready to lock up, we break for commercial.

Ramon vs. Fuller, con't

Fuller is a big youngster with lots of potential, but he isn't any match for the IC champion tonight, as Razor pins him following a Razor's Edge.

Winner: Razor Ramon via pin @ 8:24

As Howard Finkle announces Razor as the winner, Ramon grabs the mic.

Ramon: Hey yo, Chico! Yeah, blondie, you. Who do you think you are, you come to my match, an run your mouth at me? Why not come on in here and put your money where your mouth is.

The crowd erupts, but Dallas Page has rejoined Austin, and holds him back. Page has a house mic and replies.

Page: Let me tell you something Razor. You know who I am. And I'm going to warn you, you don't want any piece of this man.

Ramon: Yo, you say I know you, but everyone here knows Razor Ramon. This is my home turf Page, and if I can't beat some wanna be from down south, then I don't belong here. But if he can't hang with me, he's gotta go back to wrasslin' in barns.

Page (with a big smile on his face): You're on "brother". You'll see us next week, right here on Raw. Loser gets to leave the WWF.

Monsoon: Holy Toledo Brain, can you beleive that, Steve Austin's time in the WWF might be over before it started, next week The Superstar, Stunning Steve Austin challenges Razor Ramon for the WWF Intercontinental Championship with a loser leave town stipulation!

Heenan: That Steve Austin is a man after my own heart, he sees what he wants, and he goes and gets it.

Monsoon: When we return, the WWF Tag Team Title is on the line, as the Quebeccers defend against Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Marty Janetty.

Heenan: Plus the world tag team cham...

Monsoon: I just said that.

Heenan: Then why'd you write it in my notes?

Monsoon: Give me a break, Brain. We'll be right back!

We return to the show just in time for the introductions for the next match. First to the ring are the challengers, Marty Janetty and Hacksaw Duggan. Monsoon says that Janetty has been looking for a new partner, and might have found him in Duggan.

Next out to a chorus of jeers are the current champions, the Quebeccers -Jacques Rougeau and Pierre Oulette.

WWF Tag Team Championship

The Quebeccers (C) w/ Johnny Polo vs. Hacksaw Duggan & Marty Janetty

A good, back and forth match sees the Quebeccers win when Polo interferes and causes Duggan to chase him outside the ring and start beating him up, leaving Janetty alone to be double teamed and pinned.

Winners: The Quebeccers via pin @ 7:24

As the Quebeccers go through the curtain to the locker rooms, and suddenly come running back to ringside, terrified!

THE NASTY BOYS!!!!!!!!

The Nasties chase the Quebeccers around the ring until Rougeau and Oulette can escape.

Monsoon and Heenan are besides themselves: They don't even work here.... last we saw they won the WCW tag title in October!.... They left the WWF!!!!

The ring area suddenly fills up with officials in suits, referees, and Shane McMahon grabs a mic.

McMahon: Look, guys, I know you've been here before, but we can't have other people's champions on our show.

Jimmy Hart: Shane, baby, I love ya, but your wrong. These guys ARE the reigning WCW champs, no one beat 'em no one can. They called me last week and said "Mouth, we hate it here, we already beat 'em all up, no one can beat us, lets take over the world". And brother, thats why their here. Show the good man what you think of those belts.

With that, Brian Knobbs and Jerry Sags take the WCW World Tag Team Titles, walk over to a nearby exit, AND THROW THEM INTO THE GARBAGE.

Hart: Thats right daddy, everyone knows, the WWF is where it's at, and the WWF is about to get Nasty!!!

Heenan: You can't do that! These guys have a total lack of respect.

Monsoon: Bobby, you can't argue with what they say, WWF is indeed where it's at in wrestling. We're out of time, join us next week for our main event, Razor Ramon defends the Intercontinental Championship against the Superstar, Stunning Steve Austin in a Loser Leaves Town Match.

Heenan: Ramon's been around the block a few times, Steve Austin might be in trouble.

Monsoon: Indeed he may be. See ya next week folks!

Monsoon: Hello everyone and welcome to WWF RAW, Professional Wrestlings #1 rated live prime time show. I’m Gorilla Monsoon and I’m joined by Bobby “The Brain” Heenan. What a show we have for you this week. First of all, we’ll have the return of Piper’s Pit, as he’ll have as his guest, John Hawk.

Heenan: My sources tell me that Hawk will bring out a new manager, someone very familiar with Piper, when he comes out there.

Monsoon: And who might that be Bobby?

Heenan: I’m not telling.

Monsoon: Alright, moving on, the Hacksaw himself, Jim Duggan will be in action tonight. And the match that has the wrestling world abuzz, The Superstar, Stunning Steve Austin will challenge Intercontinental Champion Razor Ramon in a Loser Leaves Town Match. 

Heenan: I’ve been doing my homework Monsoon, and this Austin is the real deal. Ramon better not take him lightly or it’ll be adios Razor.

Monsoon: Are you predicting an upset?

Heenan: I have my ideas, but I’m not telling you so you can take the credit.

Monsoon: OK, before we hit the ring for our first match, lets head it over to our Terri Runnels, who’s joined by WWF World Champion Yokozuna.

Runnels: Thanks  Gorilla, I’m here with WWF World Champion Yokozuna, and his new manager, who I’ve not yet met.

The camera pans over to Yoko and his manager, Woman.

Woman: It’s you who should be introducing yourself to me, Miss Runnels. For those who don’t know me, lets just say I’m a business woman who has taken the opportunity to manage the greatest WWF Champion of all time. You see, I’ve been involved in wrestling for a long time, and I’ve seen some monsterous things in my time here, but there is no monster greater than this man, Yokozuna. We’re here today to issue a challenge, to all the world. On January 16, the WWF returns to Pay Per View with the Royal Rumble. We give an open challenge for anyone to come and try and defeat this man.

Camera returns to Monsoon & Bobby

Heenan: I don’t think anyone here can do it Gorilla. He’s beaten everyone who’s crossed his path.

Monsoon: We’ll see who steps up and takes that challenge, but without any further ado, lets head to the ring for our first match.

Hacksaw Jim Duggan vs. Bobby Holly

HOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! Hacksaw wins a squash.

Monsoon: Say what you will about their hygiene Brain, but they’ll be here next week ready to deliver a message to the champions as they have their in ring debut.

Heenan: The message better be to the Nasty Boys, before they can get a shot out WWF gold, they have to earn it.

Monsoon: That’s true Bobby, lets hope they aren’t looking too far ahead. Speaking of earning a shot, the young man we’re about to see has been working for years to make his dream of being a WWF Superstar come true, and his day arrived last week when he won his first ever RAW match. Lets head to the ring for Piper’s Pit, and his guest John Hawk!

Piper: Well, well, well, it’s great to be back here in the WWF. And as I’ve always done, I’m ready to bring you the big story, the big deal and this years big deal in the WWF is the big cowboy himself, Johnny Hawk who’d gonna tell me, HOT ROD, who his manager is. Come on down to the ring.

WWF Legend Cowboy Bob Orton!

Piper is in shock as the two walk into the ring and onto the plaid carpet.

Piper: Johnny Hawk, welcome to Piper’s Pit.

Hawk: First of all, Rod, it’s John, not Johnny.

Piper: OKOKOKOK. Let’s just slow it down a bit. Ace, you wanna call your boy off here. This is my show, and you’re MY guest there, Hawkeye. Now lets get onto business.  ACE! How are ya buddy. You didn’t tell me you’d be here.

Piper goes to give Orton a big hug, but is rebuffed.

Orton: Roddy, it’s been a long time since I’ve been in a WWF ring. We had our good days, filling up the Garden for the first Wrestlemania, beating up celebrities and running the show. But while you’ve been palling around with rock stars and movie stars and turning into a farce of yourself, I’ve been around the world, fighting, day in and day out. And one day, I was down in Texas, and I saw this young man break a tag teams neck with his lariat. Not just one of em, but two, one after the other. And I said, if I can take that kid, and show him how to harness that talent, why, there’s nothing that’ll stop us. Now there’s no bad blood between us Rod, but you have to treat this young man with some respect.

Piper: Hey, that’s cool Ace, any friend of yours is a friend of mine. So tell me how Johnny ended up in the big time, on Piper’s Pit, live and in Prime Time on RAW?

Orton: As I said, JOHN was busy breaking bones, wrestling anywhere he could make $50. I watch him a couple of times, and I saw, he’s big, he’s strong, he’s young, but he lacks discipline. I’ve been working with him to harness that power, to focus it. And I’m here to tell you, Roddy, and to tell everyone else in the WWF, that John Hawk is here to serve notice to all of you, don’t get in his way, and you won’t get hurt.

Monsoon: There you have it Brain, Cowboy Bob Orton is ready to lead John Hawk to the top here in the WWF.

Heenan: And Piper didn’t look too happy about it.

Monsoon: Welcome back fans, and we’re just about ready for  the big Loser Leaves Town match up.

Heenan: I hope Austin didn’t unpack yet, because he might be heading home after just a week here in the WWF. Ramon is sneaky.

Monsoon: Razor Ramon has held that title for a while, not because he’s sneaky, but because he’s one of the best wrestlers out there. Let’s here from each man before they head to the ring. Terri Runnels is backstage.

Backstage, Miss Elizabeth, Diamond Dallas Page and Steve Austin prepare to walk through the curtain for the match.

Runnels: Steve, can I have a minute before you go out there…

Page: Honey, you can have more than a minute, because the Superstar will be in the WWF for a long, long time. Tell ‘em Steve.

Austin: That’s right DDP. Razor Ramon, I hope you have your bags packed and your ticket bought, son, cause the Superstar is here, and he ain’t goin’ away.

With that, Austin and his entourage go through the curtain and towards the ring to a chorus of boos.

Runnels: Razor, any thoughts going into the ring for what may be your last time in the WWF?

Ramon: Yo, the The Bad Guy ain’t goin nowhere. Not no way, not no how. I had some fun with this punk last week, but Ima ‘bout to send his no talent pig wrestling behind back to where ever it is he comes from.

The camera returns to the ring where Howard Finkel makes the introduction.

Finkel: The following contest is for the INTERCONTINENTAL HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP. It is scheduled for ONE fall and a ONE HOUR time limit. Per the pre match stipulations, the loser of this contest will be forced to LEAVE THE WWF. Introducing first, accompanied to the ring by Manager Diamond Dallas Page and the Queen of Wrestling Miss Elizabeth, the Challenger, weighing in at 238 pounds, from Dallas Texas, The Superstar, Stunning Steve Austin!

Finkle: And coming to the ring, he weighs in at 287 pounds, he is the WWF INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION, from Miami Florida,please welcome

Monsoon: Alright Brain, here it is, the match we’ve been waiting for, and while the referee reminds everyone of the rules and stipulations, lets take a quick break.

Before the two lock up, Ramon throws his toothpick at Page, to the cheers of the crowd.

INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH – LOSER LEAVES TOWN
Razor Ramon (C) vs. The Superstar, Stunning Steve Austin

The match starts off slowly, with the two feeling each other out. Heenan mentions that he’s been watching tape of Austin, and there really is no telling what type of match he’ll have, he can brawl with the best, hang with the most technical wrestlers around, has used multiple submission moves and finishing maneuvers over the years. Monsoon mentions the advantage Austin must have, as WWF’s TV shows are by far watched by more fans than any company Austin has ever worked for, so Razor may not have seen much of him over the years, but Austin certainly has seen Ramon on WWF’s record breaking PPVs over the years.

Ramon vs. Austin con’t

Returning to the action, Austin seems to be in control, as Ramon is caught in a front face lock. Razor escapes, and begins to work on Austin’s neck and back, trying to soften him up for the Razor’s Edge later in the match. Austin counters by working over Ramon’s neck and shoulders, but with a few different finishers and none of them really known to WWF fans, it’s hard for Monsoon and Heenan to speculate on what he might be working towards.

As we approach the 9 o’clock hour, Monsoon lets fans know that the executives at USA Network have made the decision that they will stay with this match until it’s completion.

Ramon vs. Austin con’t

As we approach the half hour mark, both men seem to just be heating up. Page has distracted Razor a few times, but the veteran champion knows more than to let DDP get under  his skin. As the match progresses, the bending of the rules becomes more flagrant by each man.

Monsoon says that next week, the WWF will announce who will challenge Yokozuna at the Royal Rumble live on Piper’s Pit.

Ramon vs. Austin con’t

The match gets even more heated, spilling outside the ring a couple of times, but both men, wary of losing the match and their jobs, get back inside in  a hurry. Austin seems to be getting frustrated he can’t beat Ramon yet, and has resorted to some hair and tight pulling. Just after we reach the 45 minute mark, we head to commercial.

Hall vs. Austin  con’t

Returning to the match, the crowd is on it’s feet as the ref is down, but DDP is about to get a Razor’s Edge while Austin recovers outside of the ring. The crowd is going crazy as Ramon hits it, and is about to get another when Austin low blows him from behind. Austin then picks up Ramon and delivers a piles driver. He wakes up referee Earl Hebner and covers Ramon for a two count. Austin is frustrated again, but doesn’t slow down, instead hurls Ramon into the ropes and slaps on a Million Dollar Dream sleeper hold. Ramon seems to be fading, but makes it to the ropes. Austin breaks, throws Ramon into the corner and charges, but Razor moves!

Austin is stunned and Ramon picks him up, Austin is in the crucifix and about to be dropped when Steve pushes off the ropes with his feet and espaces. He hits a knee to the gut of Ramon and hits a Diamond Cutter (Called a Superstar Stunner by Heenan) and gets another two count, but Ramon was too near the ropes. Austin again throws on the Million Dollar Dream, but Ramon, who’s defeated the Million Dollar Man himself a few times, sits out, and Austin nails his jaw on the top of Ramon’s head, and Austin is almost out cold.

Razor picks him up in the crucifix again, and looks around, as the crowd chants “Razor, Razor” and goes to throw Austin down

It’s a time limit draw!

Heenan and Monsoon remind everyone to check in next week for the aftermath of this match, but with a draw there is NO loser, so no one leaves town tonight.
