8’04 of 9’44 aired
We return from break, and the current Alabama Heavyweight Champion, Porkchop Cash has joined the fellas in studio. First, the big Choppa would like to thank all the great fans for supporting him lately and that they have played a big part in his recent success. And he has heard through the grapevine that the Pinko Commies have their eyes on the Champ, and that’s just fine with Cash because after their actions on Christmas night he was looking forward to getting his hands on the Malenko’s anyway.
Match 2
Ref: Mac Murray
Professor Malenko led his sons, Dean and Josef, and his ultimate solution, Checkmate, into battle against the trio of Norvell Austin, Brickhouse Brown, and Thomas Ivey. This highly competitive, exciting match up ended brutally as Josef locked Austin in the Step-over Toehold Facelock. Immediately after submitting Dean delivered a seated dropkick to the exposed face of Norvell Austin, and then joined Checkmate in laying a stern beating on the youngsters of the team, Brown and Ivey. After 3 ref’s, 4 security guards, and some nameless wrestlers failed to force Josef to release the STF, the Professor snapped his eldest out of his focus and led his men victoriously down the aisle.
Final 9’11 of match and extra-curricular activity aired.
The youngster, Brickhouse Brown has joined Cash, Platt, and Stewart. He has a big bandage on his forehead and chooses to leave his shades on, and says that his partnah in crime, the J-Y-D, lookin’ like he might be out for awhile and he sure feels bad about that, but he had took a purdy good whoopin’ too. Porkchop Cash says that he hates seeing is good friend Norvell Austin treated that way, and that to pay his respects to the man, he is taking Brick under his wing cuz JYD thought a lot of him, and will put a whoopin on them nasty Malenkos, believe it.
The Tennessee Stud Ron Fuller and his cousin Jimmy Golden welcome everyone back from break as they have relieved Platt and Stewart of their duties. The Stud says he could get used to all this desk work, but Jimmy says it ain’t his style. Though he showed just what his style is on Christmas. The boys have a hearty laugh as Fuller says not to worry, he and James will still be here after the match!
Match 3
Ref: Ron West
Jimmy Golden w/The Tennessee Stud stole a victory from The Tonga Kid thanks, once again, to that dadgum cane of Ron Fuller’s, how long ago was his knee surgery? After a standing savate kick dropped Golden like a wet noodle, TK had Golden covered for an easy count of 5, but the ref was busy with the Stud. The Tonga Kid decked Fuller, and turned right into Golden who jabbed the cane right into his throat and followed that up with a brutal piledriver.
13’05 of 15’22 aired
Match 4
Ref: Bobby Simmons
THE LAST BATTLE OF DOTHAN
FOR THE SOUTHEASTERN HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
©Austin Idol hooked it up with longtime nemesis, Mr. Wrestling II, and much like their previous encounters, this one was not lacking in intensity. Mr. Wrestling III and the Flame are banned from ringside, and II worked with a sense of desperation in the early goings, looking for the Million Dollar Knee-lift early and often. The Boss fought back tooth and nail, and for the first time in this rivalry actually out-grappled II in the contest, catching II off guard and sending him deep into his bag of tricks. One loaded headbutt from II changed the complexion of the contest, but the valiant champion would not be denied. Wrestling II went for another loaded headbutt, but this time Austin Idol eluded him and II smashed headfirst into the top turnbuckle, Idol rolls him up, 1…….2………..3!!!
Final 11’04 or 16’12 aired
As Idol begins to celebrate with his great Dothan fans, but the tape is cut and quickly sent back to the TV9 studios. Platt asks The Stud how he pulled this off because Platt saw the tape earlier today and there was a couple minutes of celebration left on that reel.
Golden says that nobody wanted to see that anyway, and he has an important message to send to Austin Idol. 1985 will be the year of the Stud Stable, those punks, Jannetty and Prichard got just a small taste of what Arn and Perfect have in store for them, and “Austin Idol, congratulations on defeating Mr. Wrestling II and entering 1985 as the champ, but son that was just a battle. You’ve got a war coming your way.”
Ron Fuller is getting excited as Golden speaks with fire and conviction. The Stud says that he let personal feelings interfere with his business. He never liked the Armstrong’s and spent a good chunk of 1984 trying to put them out of wrestling. And then late in the year he let his boys get tied up with the Rat Patrol, and business deals with Mr. Wrestling II kept his focus off the top price in Southeastern Wrestling. The Stud says he has personally gone to Golden, Anderson, and Stubbs and made things right with them, "and rest assured Midnight Rebels, Bobby Cash, and Austin Idol, the Stud Stable’s New Year’s Resolution involves making money, wearing gold, and calling the shots here in SECW, that’s a promise.!"
