SOUTHEASTERN CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING PRESENTS:

Platt and Stewart kick off the show from the TV9 Studios in Mobile, Alabama. The next two weeks will be special editions of Southeastern Championship Wrestling, special highlights and matches from the spectacular Christmas Night show in Dothan.
Match 1
Ref: Mac Murray
The tag team in high demand across this nation, Jimmy Backlund and the Ragin Bull Randy Barber kicked off the show with an exciting match-up against the ‘Georgia Bulldog’ Tony Zane and Frankie ‘Thumper’ Lancaster. Their resourcefulness as a team gave them a long advantage, but the athletic supremacy of Zane and Lancaster proved to be too much as Thumper put Barber away with a bulldog headlock. 7’14 of 11’33 shown.

Match 2
Ref: Bobby Simmons
Mr. Wrestling III teamed up with The Flame to meet two of the three RAT Patrol, Inc. members, Johnny Rich and Scott Armstrong in a back and forth tag team encounter. III’s grappling and Flame’s power proved to be a difficult puzzle to solve, but the agility, quickness, and perseverance of Rich and Armstrong kept them in the contest, and a wild finishing sequence concluded with Scott nailing III with his top rope shoulder block for the victory. 7’02 of 14’21 shown.
We return to Platt and Stewart in the TV9 studios where they are joined by the honorable Lou Thesz who talks a moment about the success of this Christmas Show and how rabid and passionate the Southeastern fans are. That is why he and the promoters decided it was only right to bring this show to TV as a thank you to all the great fans. Southeastern returns to normal TV taping schedules on January 8th. And after the two exciting matches to kick off this show, the momentum just keeps building. We have two championship matches airing on television for the first time since Mr. Thesz came to the area, and next week the Southeastern Heavyweight Championship will be defended which is all a thank you to the great fans here in the Southeast.
Now Mr. Thesz, Platt, and Stewart address the Double Dog Collar Tag Team Match that went down between the Lightning Express and The Nightmares. Mr. Thesz understands that it was a heavily advertised main event for the show, but he hopes all the parents watching the show can appreciate the fact that footage from that match is unfit to air on television. Platt and Stewart discuss the match as Black and White, Still Photos of the contest scroll across the scene, as well as 5 seconds of censored footage showing the finish, as Brad Armstrong planted Ken Wayne with a side Russian leg sweep and picked up a big win for the Lightning Express. More photo’s will be aired on next week’s broadcast and the TV producers are hard at work trying to piece together some footage from the match that is suitable, if at all possible a bit of footage might air next week.

Match 3
Ref: Ron West
For the Alabama Heavyweight Championship
‘Gorgeous’ Gary Young has established himself as the #1 Contender for the Choppa’s championship being on such a roll in recent weeks. But all that momentum was not enough to help Young overcome Cash on Christmas Night, and Porckhop Cash finished Gary Young off with a running powerslam and diving headbutt. 8’22 of 11’49 shown.
Platt and Stewart cut in from the studios to inform the fans that citing frustrations over Miss Sunshine returning home to Texas, the Gorgeous One has followed suit and taken his talents to World Class. Southeastern wishes Mr. Young the best of luck and want him to know that a return to Alabama is not out of the question. Fans don’t you dare touch that dial, we will be right back with a battle for the Southeastern Tag Team Championship, we’ll be right back!

Charlie Platt and Rick Stewart welcome everyone back from the final commercial break and set up the tag team title match between the Midnight Rebels and the Tennessee Stud’s Perfection Connection. Tom Prichard and Marty Jannetty have come in and taken the wrestling world by storm. Their all action in-ring style and never say die attitude have won them legions of fans and brought them success faster than any team in recent memory, winning the tag team gold in the tag team Mecca in their first month. But the challenges don’t come much heftier than Arn Anderson and Jerry Stubbs. This was a long and grueling match that went over half an hour, and unlike the previous matches on this episode, this one will not be clipped, the final 12 minutes of the match are brought to you in their entirety!

For the Southeastern Tag Team Championship
VS

We begin the action with Mr. Perfect Jerry Stubbs dominating Tom Prichard. Stubbs and Double A tag in and out, utilize combination offense, and have Prichard right where they want him. A rare miscommunication from the challengers led to Prichard’s first opportunity to make the tag. As he tags in Jannetty, the Dothan crowd explodes, and Jannetty goes on an offensive spree dropping anything that moves, including the Stud! In the fracas, Fuller dropped his cane into the ring, and Stubbs was able to suplex Jannetty before Prichard was able to clear the ring. Anderson had Jannetty set up for his dreaded Ghordbuster, but the resourceful youngster kneed the Enforcer in the top of the head, and rolled him up with an inside cradle. Before West could get to three, Jerry Stubbs grabbed the cane and bashed Jannetty across the back with it prompting the DQ.
Platt and Stewart assure us that we have not seen the last of that tag team feud, and that the Midnight Rebels, interestingly enough, have demanded a series of rematches across the territory during January. Fans don’t you dare forget that next week’s Southeastern Championship Wrestling will feature Ted Allen vs. Jerry Oates, an insane 6 man encounter between Prof. Malenko’s stable and Norvell Austin, Brickhouse Brown, and Thomas Ivey, Jimmy Golden and the Tonga Kid write one more chapter in their storied feud, and then the big one, THE LAST BATTLE OF DOTHAN, Austin Idol vs. Mr. Wrestling II one more time, for the Southeastern Heavyweight Championship! See you next week!
