Continental Wrestling Association Monday, January 27, 1985 Mid-South Coliseum, Memphis, TN 1) The Good Ol’ Boys: Tommy Gilbert & Phil Hickerson defeated The Wild-Eyed Southern Boys: Tracy Smothers & Steve Armstrong at 10:45 when Gilbert pinned Smothers with a spinning neckbreaker. The Gang will make a great Champion and with Miss Linda and the others, he will be hard to beat. Bubba showed who the true big man in Memphis is. Youth will be served. Jake beating LeDuc solidifies his place on top in Memphis. Great show!

Jake beating LeDuc solidifies his place on top in Memphis. Great show! Glad you enjoyed the show! I was a little concerned it might not get a great reception as it was essentially a 'blow-off' show, in that it served to write out LeDuc, Bundy and the WESB all in one week. It was admittedly poor planning, but sometimes these things can't be helped!

That's what the territory days were like. People came and went. Sometimes they had time to change gears, sometimes they didn't I think the show was fine.

Yea Tom is right, this happened from time to time. We are just shortly removed from a big Christmas show, and things need to be freshened up. Bubba squashing Bundy is a huge boost for the youngster. The Rock n Roll Express must sleep on beds of clover with rabbit's feet anointed by the heavens because that is the only explanation for Rude and Adonis not yet being the tag champs. I love that series, and think it would be as hot as any feud in Memphis.
Surprised to see Wildfire not end the night victorious, but with Gang winning and Jake finishing off LeDuc, the Devil's Triangle is firmly entrenched as top dogs in Memphis. Great night of action at MSC.

Yeah, good show. Obviously change is in the air and looking forward to how it changes.
The R & R's lead a charmed life or maybe they are just that good? In any case, they will continue to have targets painted on their backs.
Was a little surprised that Bundy was squash material for the Ganger but was a nice rub with him leaving the area.

Bubba looked great here. I. too, was surprised that Rich didn't win but OMG will now be hard to knock off. The tag champs looked great against Rude and Adonis. Beating Le Duc is no small accomplishment for Jake.
