Texas All-Star Wrestling
Live from The Junction
in San Antonio, Texas
1-26-85
- Steve Stack and his Spanish speaking side-kick, Rapido Rodriquez open the show with a big welcome to the viewers for another action packed hour of Texas All-Star Wrestling. On tap for today, Bruiser Bob Sweetan will be in action! The newly crowned Tag Team Champions, the Fabulous Blonds will be in the studio and defending his Television title, the Cheetah Kid will be going one on one with fan favorite, Ricky Johnson.
- New to the area, Art Crews is introduced when he joins our hosts. Stack talks a little about Crews' days working the midwest and has finally come southward. Crews says he's looking forward to doing what he does best and that's taking out the competition. Being new to the area, he promises not to take too long working his way to the top and taking out "Bruised" Bob Sweetan to become the Champ in these parts.
- Commercial Break.
* Art Crews versus Steve Dupree *
Crews is very systematic in his debut dismantling of Dupree. The heelish Crews has a running discussion with the fans to shut them up as he likes to work in complete silence. The Junction is really loud following that. A Reverse Neck Breaker is the end for Dupree, putting Art Crews on the winning path in his Texas All-Star Wrestling debut.
Heading into another break, we get a graphic of The Fallen Angel, coming to Texas All-Star Wrestling!

* Bruiser Bob Sweetan (C) versus Tony DeVito *
Squasher as a very stiff champ works over the young DeVito who is game enough to try to fight back against Big Bob. Never in doubt, Bob makes it relatively quick with you guessed it ... a piledriver! DeVito is left in the ring laying. During the match, Stack talks about the Fallen Angel and her past association with Kevin Sullivan, something we ... and Bruiser Bob needs to keep an eye out for!
- Sweetan joins our hosts and starts talking ... and talking ... and talking. You guessed it, he likes to talk, especially about himself! When asked about Art Crews' comments, Sweetan runs down a list of people he's beaten, listing off each one along the way. He says there are lots of great wrestlers here in Texas All-Star Wrestling and that Art Crews has to get to the back of the line, get some wins under his belt before he gets a shot at Sweetan's belt.
- Commercial Break
- Stack talks about the Sweetan's past successes and wonders if Art Crews really brings something to the table or will he wind up like Sweetan's past few challengers ... in traction!
* Texas All-Star Wrestling TV Title: The Cheetah Kid (C) versus Ricky Johnson *
A handshake between the two for a show of good sportsmanship. Some talk-talk about Ricky's heritage which should prove to be a great match-up against the TV Champ. Lots of back and forth action to make this one exciting. Several near pinfalls but Cheetah's awe-inspring flying head scissors puts Johnson away. Following the match, the two shakes hands again in a sign of mutual repect.
- Both men join Stack and Rodriquez for a quick bit of banter about how good the other guy is before Ricky leaves. Stack congratulates the masked man on winning the TV strap. The Kid says that he's looking forward to the competition as well as wowing the great fans in these parts. Stack thinks with his athleticism and the high risk manuevers, the fans are sure to be pleased.
- Commercial Break
Stack and Rodriquez are joined by sombrero and serape wearing Tag Champs, the Fabulous Blonds and their manager, Percival Pringle III. The Blonds yuck it up, saying the gear belonged to the Guerreros who by now probably high-tailed it all the way to Mexico. Stack gives the fans the rundown of the former Champions battling the Blonds one last time for the Tag Belts with the Losers Leaving Town. While the Champs laugh it up, Pringle says there was only one possible outcome in this feud and you're seeing it with the Blonds, the "rightful" Tag Team Champions and the Guerreros being run out of Texas All-Star Wrestling once and for all. Timbs asks when the Guerreros will return? Never? Embry rubs his eyes like he's crying before the two start laughing it up again. Pringle says now it is time to run the table and clear this place of every last Tag Team.
* Non Tag Team Title Match: The Fabulous Blonds (C) w/Percival Pringle III versus Barry Orton & Dan Greer *
Orton keeps things on the competative side but Greer is isolated and worked over while the Blonds seem to be enjoying themselves. Stack talks about the bloody and very brutal matches the Blonds had with the Guerreros in trying to take their belts. Booed to high heaven by the fans each time they make tags, the Champs settle down and "get to work". Percy seems content with the in-ring activity, patrolling the outside. Talk about Orton revolves around his father Bob Sr. and more successful brother Bob Jr. Big cheer when Orton gets the hot tag into the match and floors both Embry and Timbs. The Blonds finally shut that down before going back to work on Greer. Double Superplex ... DONE!
- Collecting their gear, the victorious Blonds are joined in the ring by Hector and Mando Guerrero. Diving into the ring, the former champions come up swinging, catching the Blonds totally by surprise. With Percy shrieking, we have utter chaos as the Guerreros beat the stuffing out of Embry and Timbs. Big dropkicks and the Guerreros are on fire! Percy is able to pull Embry from the ring, leaving Timbs to suffer one huge back body drop before he, too is pulled from the ring. Pringle pulls his two dazed men away from the ring while the Guerreros take up the serapes and sombreros. Mando addresses the fans first, saying they forgot their stuff and Hector promises that they'll return to Texas All-Star Wrestling one day!
- With the fans cheering on the departing Guerreros, Steve Stack puts this week's episode to bed, telling everyone to tune in next week for more exciting Texas All-Star Wrestling!
