Tony: Alright, as announced last week, at Starrcade 84, all three of you will be in action as Nikita Koloff will challenge Manny Fernandez once again for the United States Title and Ivan Koloff and Don Kernodle will get their rematch for the World Tag Team Titles!!!
Don Kerndole: That’s right Tony, and what a Christmas it’s gonna be for me and my comrades!!!! Nikita is gonna become the US Champion and Ivan and I are going to make things right when we take our titles back from the---

Ivan Koloff: I must interrupt you because I have very important announcement to make. Last week, Ivan Koloff was not here as you probably noticed, I was reading over the contracts signed for the cage match at Battle Bowl and the rematch contract for Starrcade. In contract I found a stipulation that lets either Don Kernodle or myself chose a different partner for the match. After speaking to Kremlin it has been decided that it is most important that we regain the World Tag Team Titles, so I have filed the paperwork TO REMOVE DON KERNDOLE FROM THE MATCH!!!! Nephew Nikita has agreed to withdraw from the United States title match and to team with me to regain the World Tag Team Titles.
Don Kerndole: Now just hold on one damn cotton picking minute Ivan!!!! You didn’t tell me nothing about this!!! What’s this all about!!! Whatcha mean I ain’t in the tag title match no more!!! HUH!? WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!!!

NWA TELEVISION CHAMPION TULLY BLANCHARD DEFEATS BILL WHITE IN A NON TITLE MATCH
Tully then joins Tony.
Tony: Another win for the Television Champion.
Tully Blanchard: Well you know Tony Schiavone, you have to be born to be a Champion. It has to be engrained in your DNA. It’s one thing to get in the ring and to challenge for a belt, it’s another thing entirely to win it, and a completely different animal to actual hold onto a title for any length of time. Now I have held this Television Title for most of the year, Mr. Flair has held his title for the entire year, so in that regard we are very much alike, we have the talent and the DNA, the destiny to be Champions. Where we differ however is that I have been a fighting Champion the entire time I have held this belt, while Mr. Flair has spent the year ducking men like myself and my business associate and Awesome Twosome partner, Chief Wahoo McDaniels.
And we all saw why he has spent the year ducking me at Battle Bowl, in Charlotte, North Carolina when I pinned him in the middle of the ring 1-2-3. Now I saw him out here last week with his photo showing me holding the tights, and to that I say, SO WHAT? So what Ric Flair, because when you want to be a Champion, you will do anything to be one, and when you want to stay a Champion, you will go even further. Now last week, I heard Ric Flair talking about getting down and dirty, about how he was going to fight fire with fire and we were going to fight in the trenches. Mr. Flair, I am a wrestler, that is what I am, my father was a wrestler, I am a wrestler, and I am the best in the world today and everyone knows it. And you can take a look at a man like me and say to yourself that I have too much class to get down in the gutter with you, to fight instead of wrestle, and normally you would be correct, but like I said before I will do anything to become the World Champion. ANYTHING. At Starrcade Ric Flair, I will fight as dirty as you want, I will go as far as I have to go to take that title away from you and send you back down the ladder. Tony: We have been joined by Sandy Scott, and we have to ask, what is going to happen now that Nikita Koloff has pulled out of the United States Title match at Starrcade ’84?
Sandy Scott: Well, we know how much the fans and how much Mr. Fernandez himself wanted this match and I can tell you we are going to work to make this match happen at a later date. As for Starrcade, we have been meeting all week to decide who might get this match and we are still trying to decide. There are several wrestlers from right here as well as all over the World that would be great challengers for Mr. Fernandez and we want to pick the best one to give our fans the best match possible. So a decision will be made, and an announcement will come next week.
Tony: Alright, thank you Mr. Scott, and Manny Fernandez, what do you have to say about all this?
Manny Fernandez: You know daddy, The Bull wants Nikita back in that ring, he don’t care the time, he don’t care about the place. But I know the Youngbloods are going to take care of business at Starrcade and take out them Russians. As for me, The Bull is ready for anything daddy!!!! It doesn’t matter who they sign to battle the Bull, they better come ready, and they better be ready to get the HORNS!!!!

Boyd is listening to Paul Jones’ last minute instructions when Boy from New York City plays!!! Jimmy Valiant comes dancing out to the ring!!!!! Valiant rolls into the ring and Boyd attack him before Tommy Young can call for the bell!!! Boyd is out to get the bounty his manager has put on Valiant’s head, while Valiant is looking to eliminate another obstacle between he and Jones. They trade hard punches in a match that looks more like a barroom brawl then a wrestling contest. Boyd and Valiant throw the rule book completely out the window. With an unseen assist by Paul Jones, Boyd is able to grab the upper hand, and begins to beat down on Valiant.
The fans solidly behind him, Valiant is able to use their energy to help him kick out of several near falls. Boyd locks the Claw onto Valiant!!!! Valiant is fighting it!!! The crowd gets louder and louder rallying Valiant to his feet. Soon Valiant has turned the tables on Boyd, broken the Claw and has him reeling!!!! The end looks to be near when Rip Morgan runs out of the back , slides in the ring and attacks Valiant drawing the DQ!!!

Matchmaker Sandy Scott and United States Champion Manny Fernandez have joined David and Tony.
Tony: We have been joined by Sandy Scott, and we have to ask, what is going to happen now that Nikita Koloff has pulled out of the United States Title match at Starrcade ’84?
Sandy Scott: Well, we know how much the fans and how much Mr. Fernandez himself wanted this match and I can tell you we are going to work to make this match happen at a later date. As for Starrcade, we have been meeting all week to decide who might get this match and we are still trying to decide. There are several wrestlers from right here as well as all over the World that would be great challengers for Mr. Fernandez and we want to pick the best one to give our fans the best match possible. So a decision will be made, and an announcement will come next week.
Tony: Alright, thank you Mr. Scott, and Manny Fernandez, what do you have to say about all this?
Manny Fernandez: You know daddy, The Bull wants Nikita back in that ring, he don’t care the time, he don’t care about the place. But I know the Youngbloods are going to take care of business at Starrcade and take out them Russians. As for me, The Bull is ready for anything daddy!!!! It doesn’t matter who they sign to battle the Bull, they better come ready, and they better be ready to get the HORNS!!!!

Boyd is listening to Paul Jones’ last minute instructions when Boy from New York City plays!!! Jimmy Valiant comes dancing out to the ring!!!!! Valiant rolls into the ring and Boyd attack him before Tommy Young can call for the bell!!! Boyd is out to get the bounty his manager has put on Valiant’s head, while Valiant is looking to eliminate another obstacle between he and Jones. They trade hard punches in a match that looks more like a barroom brawl then a wrestling contest. Boyd and Valiant throw the rule book completely out the window. With an unseen assist by Paul Jones, Boyd is able to grab the upper hand, and begins to beat down on Valiant.
The fans solidly behind him, Valiant is able to use their energy to help him kick out of several near falls. Boyd locks the Claw onto Valiant!!!! Valiant is fighting it!!! The crowd gets louder and louder rallying Valiant to his feet. Soon Valiant has turned the tables on Boyd, broken the Claw and has him reeling!!!! The end looks to be near when Rip Morgan runs out of the back , slides in the ring and attacks Valiant drawing the DQ!!!
