West Palm Beach Auditorium
1) Tom Zenk defeated Don Diamond at 8:34 when he connected with a body block after ducking a clothesline
2) Cpl. Kirshiner defeated ”Wild” Bill Ash at 7:10 with a Powerslam!
3) Barry Windham and Terry Taylor defeat The Orient Express: Masa Onita & Masa Fuchi (w/Tojo Yamamoto) after Windham pinned Fuchi with a Flying Clothesline at 14:55. Following the match Jim Cornette, Bobby Eaton and Dennis Condrey rushed the ring and attacked Windham and Taylor, they attempted to Spike Piledrive Taylor but Windham cleared the ring with a steel chair and saved his partner.
4) FLORIDA CHAMPIONSHIP: Mike Graham defeats Mando Guerrero at 24:12 after a grueling match to retain his title. The two were almost counted out when Mando hit Graham with a body block off the top rope while Graham was on the arena floor. Graham wins with an Oklahoma Roll. The two men shake hands after the match.
INTERMISSION
5) The Falcon defeated Nick Kiniski when the masked man used an elbow drop off the second rope to polish off Kiniski at 6:22
6) US TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP: The Midnite Express: Bobby Eaton & Dennis Condrey w/Jim Cornette defeat The Hillbillies: Cousin Luke & Cousin Junior when Eaton pins Luke after an Alabama Jam legrop at 14:01 to retain the titles.
7) SOUTHERN CHAMPIONSHIP: “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes defeats Lars Anderson in an all out war after 17:39 of bloody, brawling action! Lars tried to piledrive Dusty during the match, which would have dqed Lars, but he looked like he was out to cripple Dusty more than win the title.
Following the match, Dusty and Lars brawled a little more until Lars went to the locker room. Dusty stayed in the ring dancing and posing for the fans when Bobby “The Brain” Heenan showed up with his briefcase full of money. Gordon Solie joined Dusty and Heenan in the ring with the microphone. Heenan told Dusty now was the time to decide. Heenan told Dusty to take the money, sign with him, join the Heenan Family and Heenan swears that he will lead Dusty to the NWA World Title this year!! Dusty looks around, the fans are pleading with Dusty not to do it, Dusty is looking hard at the money, he looks back at the fans, but then back at the money and
DUSTY TAKES THE MONEY!!!!!
Heenan throws his hands up in triumph, the crowd is booing, Gordon can’t believe it. Heenan turns his back to Dusty and then DUSTY HITS HEENAN IN THE BACK WITH THE BRIEFCASE!!!!!!
Heenan falls down to the mat!!! Dusty opens the briefcase up, tosses some of the money to the crowd and dumps the rest onto Heenan!!! Dusty isn’t joining the Heenan Family!!!!!
