"Mean" Gene Okerlund and "The Genius" Lanny Poffo welcome us to the Edward Leede Arena in Hanover, New Hampshire for another exciting edition of Eastern Championship Wrestling! Before hyping tonight's huge card, they first breifly dicuss last week's show including the debut of a new Tag-Team here in Eastern Championship; The Dudley Boyz who will once again be in action here tonight! Also William Regal was attacked by the Mexi-Kings and ECW Women's Champ "Gorgeous" Michele Starr was attacked by "The Hawaiian Princess" Leilani Kai who will face him for the Title tonight! ECW Champion "The Long Island Loud-Mouth" Chris...
Just then however they're interrupted when "Thunderkiss '65" by White Zombie hits and the Eastern Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho explodes from the back! Shut your mother Gene! Shut your filthy mouth! Not you Lanny, we're cool. Chris then says he knows full well Okerlund and ECW management were just well on their way to yet another cover up. Another snub of "The Long Island Loud-Mouth!" The ECW Champ-e-on! And why you may ask? Why does anything happen? People play favorites! People try to keep their friends at the top of the card! Even if they're old, wash-up; and just a bit worthless! But that isn't even why the conspitacy against Chris Jericho continues here tonight you mouth-breathers! Oh no! Tonight it's because last week in a totally unprovoked attack on yours truly; "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson laid hands upon the ECW Champ! He attacked him like the coward he is! And of course they don't want you, the fans to think of everyone's hero in such an unflattering light, but ladies and gentlement the truth must be told! Now before you all start showering him with Get Well cards....

Would you just shut the hell up? Arn questions. He says that he's had a rough go of it since Wrestle Annual III. That there was a real question of whether or not "The Enforcer" would be coming back in to this ring, to this business after what Jericho did. But after alot of hard work and a couple really good doctors; ol' Double A is happy to report not only to Jericho, but the fans that he's looking good and ready to get back in the game. Now Arn Anderson isn't about to come out here and cry over what "The Loud-Mouth" tried to do. Or that he defeated him for the ECW Championship. However throughout it all. The pain killers, the surgery, the recovery; there's one thing Anderson hasn't been able to stand, one thing he just couldn't abide. And that's every single night he turned his TV onto TNN The Nashville Network to see what was going on with the boys; all he could see was "The Long Island Loud-Mouth" Chris Jericho running his meely mouth about something or another. Complained about this, complained about that. Well Chris? Arn Anderson is back. And the complaining is just gonna be getting started for him. Because on February 9th, 1997 at the Providence Civic Center in Providence, Rhode Island in the Main Event at King od the Mountain '97 it will be ECW Champion "The Long Island Loud-Mouth" Chris Jericho against "The Enforcer" Arn Anderson! And while he can't promise Jericho won't pull some trick or another to retain the belt; what AA can guarantee us is that he'll give Chris Jericho reason to keep his fool mouth shut. He guarandamntees it!

Back from the break Okerlund says that before they were rudely interrupted they hadn't finished discussing tonight's card which will include "The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit defending the Eastern States Championship against "The Innovator of Violence" Tommy Dreamer in the Main Event!
Tag-Team Match: The Dudley Boyz vs. The New Killer Bees

While Gene is busy running his mouth The Dudley Boyz come down to the ring while "Highway to Hell" by AC/DC plays. Bully Ray and Big Dick Dudley once again handle the ring work while Dudley Dudley and little Snot provide distraction at ringside. Bully argues with members of the audience until an annoying buzzing is heard and out from the back comes Brady Boone and B. Brian Blair; the New Killer Bees! The Bees hold their own early on, but prove to be no match for the much larger Dudleys and Big Dick puts Boone down with a Chokeslam!
After the match Blair looks to make an escape, but Bully has Double Dudley and Snot capture him and exiting the ring Bully Ray beats the hell out of him before slamming him through the Spanish Announcer's table with a powerbomb! Aye Caramba!
Before the commercial break a video plays featuring this song which is accompanied by video clips of violent outbreaks and protests.

Back from break ECW Correspondent Terri Runnels is talking with David Prazak and new ECW Light Heavyweight Champion "The Lone Wolf" Dean Malenko! Prazak says that his client should have never lost the Title! That the odds were stacked against him at Wrestle Annual and now the Title is back where it rightfully belongs! Malenko agrees with this. He says that "The Japanese Buzzsaw" Yoshihiro Tajiri is one hell of a competitor, but one on one against "The Lone Wolf?" He'll always come up short.
Match: Yoshihiro Tajiri vs. Shane Helms
Referee: Danny Davis
"The Japanese Buzzsaw" Yoshihiro Tajiri is obviously in a foul mood as he hits the ring with his manager Mr. Fuji. He mostly dominates one-half of the Illmatics in "Sugar" Shane Helms whom he beats down and even locks in the Tarantula at one point while "Miss Texas" Jacqueline Moore can do nothing but look on. Releasing the hold before he is disqualified, Tajiri watches Shane stumble to his feet and hopping from the apron to the top rope, springboards off; connecting with a hurrancanrana pin for the win.

Okerlund and Poffo talk about how the Mexi-Kings attacked William Regal last week during a backstage interview and that Tully Blanchard asked for the next match to get some payback for his fellow member in Arn's Horsmen.
Match: Tully Blanchard vs. Eddie Guerrero

Tully Blanchard gives Eddie Guerrero one hell of a fight, getting two counts off a slingshot suplex, a sunset flip off the apron; and a Piledriver. "Latino Heat" gives as good as he gets however and looks to have the match all but won when he connects with the Frog Splash and hooks Blanchard's leg! 1!... 2!...
Tully just kicks out! Eddie can't believe it and tired, he signals for the Mexi-Kings to enter the ring where they begin beating Blanchard down! Big Shawn Hernandez sets him up for the Border Toss throwing crucifix powerbomb!
But just then William Regal, Scott Taylor; and Arn Anderson rush from the back! Hernandez drops Tully just seconds before he gets laid out by a huge Double A Spinebuster! The two groups brawl inside and outside the ring and Ronnie Garvin shows up with his security team just before the...

"Mean" Gene and Lanny welcome us back from the break before reminding us that next week's show will be coming to us live from the Champlain Valley Expo in Essex Junction, Vermont! They tell us while some tickets still remain, those folks at home should tune in right here on Eastern Championship's home station of TNN The Nashville Network to catch all the exciting ECW action live!
Women's Title Match: Michele Starr vs. Leilani Kai
Referee: Danny Davis
"The Hawaiian Princess" Leilani Kai comes down to the ring and ferociously roars for the cheering fans while Okerlund reminds us Kai is already a one time ECW Women's Champion having won it back in 1994 and is looking to claim her second run here tonight. "It's Raining Men" by The Weather Girls then hits and out from the back comes current ECW Women's Champ "Gorgeous" Michele Starr in his feather boa with Joe E. Legend in tow. The match gets under way and Starr does his best to stay as far away from Leilani as possible, shreiking and slapping at her as he often retreats into the ropes!
Finally she gets ahold of him however with a handful of hair and dragging him into the ring throws him across the ring! Unfortunately for Michele, Kai still has a handful of hair after she lets go! "The Gorgeous One" clutches his scalp and cries out in horror as Leilani comes in swinging and stomps a mudhole in him before dragging him into the corner and locks in a Boston Crab! Starr however shows some intestinal fortitude for once and fights it! And after several tries turns himself over and pushes Kai into the ropes with his feet before schoolgirling her! 1!... 2!
Kai is right back up on her feet, but so is Starr who answers "The Hawaiian Princess" with a stiff clothesline! Leilani doesn't go down however, but Michele fires off several punches, kicks her in the guts; runs the ropes and goes for a leaping leg lariat! But Kai catches him mid move and flattens him with a Samoan Drop and the pin! 1!... 2!
Starr kicks free. The two opponents battle back and forth from there with Michele getting the worst of it until Leilani Kai whips the Women's Champ hard into the corner, beats her chest; and charges in with a big boot! It connects and Starr goes down hard before Kai drags him into the center of the ring and heads for the top rope! Though the fans see it and try to warn her, Leilani doesn't spot Michele poke his head up and lie back down real quick. Lanny calls him a "Genius" for playing opossum and when Leilani Kai goes for the Diving Splash she catches nothing but a couple of well placed knees to the ribs! Michele Starr stacks up for the cover and gets the three! "The Gorgeous One" is still the Women's Champ much to the annoyance of the booing fans.
The Rocking 'N Rolling segment on ECW Wednesday Nights then appears courtesy of the Honky Tonk Man! He invites us all to party with the latest hit song by The Wallflowers; "One Headlight!"

Tag-Team Match: Circus of Doom w/ Brimstone vs. The Bayou Boys

Working together with quick tags to stay fresh and some innovative tag-team offense, The Bayou Boys surprisingly hold their own here not just against "The Ring Master" Matt Borne, but later the monstrous Pogo the Clown too! This doesn't last forever however as Doug Gilbert finds himself being beat to a pulp by "The Monster of Mirth" before tagging out to Cousin Jamie who soon finds himself Buried in the Basement. Brimstone who surveyed the carnage from ringside seems pleased as he raises the two men's hands in victory.

"Macho Man" Randy Savage is with "Hot Stuff" Debbie Combs while he talks about "The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit! Yeah! The coveted Eastern States Championship! Dig it! And his seeming to crumble friendship with "All-American" Ron Simmons! Ooooh no! Savage says when a Title is up for the taking brother, anything goes! He doesn't blame Ron at all for attacking him two weeks ago! Cause if push came to shove and when he did, Randy Savage pushed right back! And in three weeks at King of the Mountain '97 they'll be letting it all hang out! Friends, enemies, it'll all be the same thing, yeah! Lines will be blurred! But in the end "Macho Man" Randy Savage will battle his way through twenty nine other men to walk out of the Providence Civic Center the Eastern States Champion! Oooooh yeah!
Match: Rob Van Dam w/ Rick Rude vs. Aryan von Raschke
Referee: Danny Davis
"Mr. Wednesday Night" Rob Van Dam gets a chance to show off his innovative offense in this one, but Aryan von Raschke isn't one to go down without a fight. He gives as good as he gets, getting a nearfall after countering a stunned RVD's Rolling Thunder with his patented Sieg Heil! superkick! Van Dam shows some real staying power by kicking out and though he is in trouble for a while afterward, he ends up scores the pin with the 5-Star Frog Splash.
He has no time to celebrate however as "Mangler's Monster" The Blitzkrieg storms the ring! Rob hops out just as quick however and heads up the ramp with his partner Rick Rude who congratulates him on the win while the Baron Von Raschke checks on his son.

Okerlund and Poffo welcome us back from the break before hyping tonight's huge Main Event! They first talk about the seemingly unstoppable Eastern States Champion "The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit who has held the Title since September, having beaten "Macho Man" Randy Savage at ECW's big event September to Remember. They then talk about Tag-Team Champion "The Innovator of Violence" Tommy Dreamer who as of Wrestle Annual III has held the belt with Dustin Rhodes for over a year! They then discuss Tommy's recent match with ECW Champ Chris Jericho and his history with Benoit himself. Back at ECW's inaugural Hardcore Heaven event Dreamer won a 15-Man Hardcore Battle Royal to win an ECW contract. The final opponents in that blood soaked match was "The Innovator of Violence" and Chris Benoit. A fact "The Crippler" is sure to have not forgotten.
Gertner: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and is for the Eastern States Championship! Introducing first from Yonkers, New York weighing 255 lbs.; he is the challenger and one half of the ECW Tag-Team Champions; "The Innovator of Violence" Tommy Dreamer!
Dreamer heads down to the ring with the Tag-Title around his waist before handing it over to referee S.D. Jones. The Talking Heads then hits.
Gertner: And now introducing his opponent this evening, hailing from Edmonton, Albreta, Canada accompanied to the ring by "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase weighing 220 lbs.; he is the Eastern States Champion "The Canadian Crippler" Chris Benoit!
Eastern States Title Match: Chris Benoit vs. Tommy Dreamer
Referee: S.D. Jones
Jones starts the match and there's no feeling out process, Tommy Dreamer goes right after Chris Benoit and pays for it. With a quick go behind he drops "The Innovator" with a full nelson bomb and puts the boots to him! Dreamer rolls out of the ring, but doesn't get any distance as Chris hits the ropes, charges across the ring; and launches out onto him with a tope dive! Up first and still in control, Benoit uses the steel barricade to his advantage to punish Tommy, before slamming him head first into the announcer's table and rolling him back into the ring. Poffo complains this isn't the Spanish announcer's table! But Gene reminds him that's already been destroyed earlier this evening.
Dreamer hobbles back up to his feet, but a basement dropkick to the shin from Benoit takes care of that! He works Tommy's legs over for a while before locking in a single-leg Boston Crab! Dreamer is in pain and screaming, but gritting his teeth elbows his way to the bottom rop breaking the hold! Chris attempts to pull Tommy up, but Dreamer kicks him away. "The Crippler" gets ahold of him anyway and whips him hard into the corner before charging in with a leaping clothesline! But he only catches a boot to the face!
By now Tommy is busted open, but wiping the bood out of his eyes he drops Chris with a lariat and trapping the seated Eastern States Champ in an armbar he begins pounding his head in! Chris fights to his feet however and kicks Dreamer in the gut freeing himself! Tommy fires back with a punch and Benoit retailiates with two! The two men pound one another around the ring before Chris throws him with a Northern Lights suplex! And the cover!... Wait, no! Tommy rolls him up!
1!... 2!....
Benoit kicks out! Both men pop up and slam one another back down with a double clothesline as they collide in the middle of the ring! Chris gets back to his feet on his own power while Tommy needs the ropes! Chris charges in, but gets back body dropped right over the top rope and out of the ring! Dreamer falls to one knee looking kind of dizzy as he clutches his wound and S.D. Jones asks him if he wants to continue. He doesn't get to answer however as he's grabbed by the foot and pulled from the ring! "The Innovator" grabs hold of the bottom rope at the last second however and while the Champ continues to yank his leg, he fires off with several kicks to the face with his free one! Benoit falls back up against the steel guardrail and this time, it's Tommy Dreamer's turn to hammer Chris into it!
Tommy continues fighting Chris over to the steel steps where he hoists him up for a powerbomb! Right onto the steps! But at the last second, Benoit turns it into half a DDT! Still both men catch the steel hard and fall to the ground while Jones continues the ten count! Chris has blood trickling down his back as he stumbles to his feet and breaks the count. He then pulls Dreamer up to his feet and rolls him into the ring where he hooks the leg! 1!... 2!...
Dreamer kicks out just before the three! Chris grins sadistically as he staddles Tommy's chest and begins raining down hard rights and lefts to open up the wound! Jones pulls Chris off and kicking his opponent for good measure, Benoit makes the cover! 1!... 2!...
Tommy kicks out! Chris is growing frustrated and whips Tommy into the ropes hard before running in with a spear! He then climbs up to the second rope and using one hand to pry at Dreamer's wounded head he begins hitting him! 1! 2! 3! 4! 5! 6! 7! 8! 9! 10! He smacks Jones away as the ref causes him to lose his balance, landing on his feet. Benoit then lifts Tommy up onto the top turnbuckle. "The Innovator of Violence" is clearly out of it and Okerlund says Jones should call off the match. But Chris has set up his opponent for the superplex!
Just then "Pomp and Circumstance" hits! And up on the ramp appears "Macho Man" Randy Savage! Chris spits in his direction and makes the throat slashing motion before once again locking in the Superplex! He's going for it!
But he gets wracked with a headbutt instead?! And another?!! Benoit's face is covered in Tommy's blood as Dreamer hits him with a third headbutt before locking in a headlock and landing several punches to the ribs! With difficulty Dreamer pulls Chris up onto his shoulders and attempts to stand on the top turnbuckle! But Chris is struggling now! He almost slides off! But Dreamer grabs his tights and leaps off hitting the Fireman's Carry Slam from the top rope! And he climbs over Benoit hooking the leg! 1!... 2!...
3! Tommy Dreamer has done it! He's the new Eastern States Champion! The crowd begins to cheer as a bloodied Dreamer in handed the Title which he stumbles toward the rope with before holding it high in the air! He falls to his knees hugging the belt when...
He's grabbed from behind by Chris Benoit! Who proceeds to hit him with a German Suplex! And without letting go another! And another! He's hit the Hat Trick! Dreamer is flattened to the canvas as Chris leaps up to his feet and...
Benoit gets taken down hard by a springboard clothesline from "The Macho Man" Randy Savage while the fans cheer! Randy then picks up the Eastern States Title and holds it high while the fans cheer for him! Oooooh yeah! He drops the belt onto the unconscious Tommy Dreamer while the...
