Wrote this up for fun. My booking of this year's Royal Rumble, using mostly real life story points. Figured I'd post it here for now being it's topical. Can move it to Alternate Timelines after the Rumble. (or before if it's not okay here. no biggie.) Feel free to discuss the real Rumble here too. What you'd like to see or whatever.
Jerry Lawler, JBL; and that idiot Michael Cole welcome us to the 2014 Royal Rumble Pre-Show! They talk about the matches on tonight's card, the WWE Network... and most importantly how to download the WWE App! Yay!
They then hype the flagship "new" show on the WWE network, namely their show featuring future WWE talent and Hunter Hearst Helmsley's own baby; NXT! They remind us that the show has just reached it's 200th episode and that the entire backlog of episodes can be seen on the WWE Network!
This segways into the first match of the night which will take place right here on the pre-show; the NXT mini Rumble! Not only will one of these 10 men win a chance to compete in tonight's Rumble, but the WWE universe will get a chance to see all the exciting up and coming talent we'll see on the launch of the WWE Network on NXT!
"Good Dirty Fun" hits, strobe lights fire off as the lights dim and out from the back comes "The Prince of Pretty" himself Tyler Breeze! He's more interested in his cell phone than the fans as always.
"Lower the Boom" then hits and out from the back comes a very hyped up Sami Zayn! He high fives with the fans as he explodes down to the ring and the fans chant "Ole! Ole! Ole!" JBL wonders if the fans are privy to the fact El Matadors will be entering the Rumble next.
NXT Pre-Show Rumble Match (10 Men):
Tyler Breeze does his best to avoid Sami Zayn playing heel in retreat and Zayn mugs it up for the crowd. While Sami is distracted Tyler attacks Zayn from behind, concentrating on the legs before pulling him up, running him head first into the turnbuckle and tossing him out?!
Zayn hits the apron, by Breeze don't see it as he's too busy taking a "Selfie" to post on Twitter. Cole loves this. He gets attacked from behind by Zayn and nearly eliminated himself before in comes...
Corey Graves! Zayn gives Breeze and Graves some trouble with his high flying offense until the duo gang up on him and spend the rest of the time trying to eliminate Sami before the Rumble clock counts down and the next man arrives on the scene and it's...
Adrian Neville! "The Man that Gravity Forgot" lives up to his name right away as he hits the apron, and then the ropes as he springboards in with a corkscrew moonsault that wips out Tyler and Graves! Sami and Adrian team up on the heels whipping one another into the corner on them and both men then go up top and hit a double dose of 450 degree splashes on Tyler and Graves respectively.
"Spotlight please!" It's Aiden English who takes his time serenading us on his way down to the ring about putting the E (that's Entertainment) back into the W-W-E! Meanwhile inside the ring some close calls are had while Sami battles Tyler and Adrian takes on his former Tag-Team partner Graves.
The next contestant wants us all to know the people in the ring are S-A-W-F-T! Sooooft! Particularly Aiden English who he rolls into the ring and begins pounding on.
Inside the ring next is the NXT Champion Bo Dallas! And the ring continues to fill up as "The Moon Child" CJ Parker dances his way to the ring followed by "The South African Assassin" Leo Kruger; and finally....
"The Bulgarian Brute" Alexander Rusev who has his manager Lana at his side! Bo proves to be "The People's Champion" as he scores the first elimination of the night before Rusev comes down to the ring on CJ Parker! Thank you Bo!
Of course nobody likes Dallas either and Rusev receives the first pop of his life when he eliminates the NXT Champ next when Bo backpeddles away from him, comes to close to the ropes and gets clotheslined over the side! Leo Kruger answers this with a kick to Alexander's gut and the two men begin throwing lefts and rights in the middle of the ring.
Adrian Neville meanwhile eliminates his old partner Corey Graves and Sami Zayn soon after does the same to Tyler Breeze! Colin Cassady may've done the same to Aiden English if not for the timely intevention of Rusev who grabs "The Realest Guy in Da Room," hits him with several knee strikes and dumps him over the side!
English however isn't thankful for the save and seeing their chance to eliminte "The Brute," Zayn, Neville; and Kruger team up to eliminate him! It doesn't work out so well however as Aiden English, then Leo Kruger; and finally Adrian Neville are tossed over the side and to the floor below!
And Alexander Rusev does the same to Sami Zayn! But he hangs on to the top rope with one hand, grabs it with the other; and skins the cat! He's back in and attacks Rusev from behind! Alexander ain't going anywhere however and puts a beating on Sami throwing him about the ring and nearly eliminates him several times before Zayn hits a surprise springboard DDT! Rusev hits the mat hard, but bounces right back up using the ropes to steady himself and charging in Sami Zayn nails Alexander with a running big boot that takes him up and over the top rope and out of the ring! Sami Zayn has won it and will be entering the Royal Rumble for a shot at the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania 30!
Jerry Lawler, JBL; and even that dolt Michael Cole give props to the talent we just witnessed and weigh Sami Zayn's chances at winning the real Royal Rumble which Bradshaw Layfield puts down as "absolutely, postiviely none."
They then spend the remainder of the time hyping tonight's Main Event which will see WWE COO Triple H battle for the Champion of Championships
against WWE Champion "The Viper" Randy Orton!
COMMERCIAL BREAK
Countdown to the Rumble Clock!
Jerry Lawler, JBL; and yay it's that Toutin' Fool Michale Cole too are back! And they're welcoming us to the Royal Rumble! They hype the Rumble match for a while, talking about fan favorite Daniel Bryan who's recently sold his soul to the evil Wyatt family! Booo! They also talk about "The Monster" Batista who will be making his huge return here tonight! Not to mention CM Punk who's bound to drop a Pipe Bomb in the Rumble and The Shield! Yes the ENTIRE Shield will be participating in the Rumble! Will the recent descension in their ranks be their ultimate undoing here tonight? Speaking of people with too many spots in the Rumble, in addtion to Daniel Bryan the ENTIRE Wyatt Family will be involved in the Rumble! This is setting up to be one hell of a match!
But first....
They talk about the Diva Division which has really, REALLY (but not really cause nobody watches it) been heating up thanks to WWE's hit show Totall Divas! They talk about how Eva Marie won the Diva's Championship not too long ago when her Total Divas cast mates JoJo and The Bellas interferted in the match!
With the Title won by Marie, Eva renamed the Title the Total Divas Championship! And to add insult to injury got Stephanie McMahon to make it a Tag-Team Title! Eva Marie chose JoJo as her partner. And with no partner of her own, former Champ AJ Lee was left out in the cold until she found a partner of
her own recently in NXT's own "Anti-Diva" Paige!
Tonight AJ Lee and Paige get their first shot at the new Total Divas Tag Titles and AJ in particular here first shot at revenge against Eva Marie!
Total Divas Title Match: Eva Marie & JoJo (c) vs. The Anti-Divas
The fans get what they want in this one, namely the Titles off Eva Marie and JoJo who stink up the ring while AJ Lee and Paige do their damnedest to salvage the match. The Bellas who are at ringside refuse to help Eva when she ends up in trouble and take a leave to the back! Jerry supposes the Bellas feel snubbed not being selected by Marie as her Tag-Team partner.
AJ Lee locks Eva Marie in the Black Widow and she ends up tapping to the new Total Diva (or is that Anti-Diva Champs in a mercifully short match.
We're then taken backstage where we're reminded by the NEW United States Champion "The Saviour of the Masses" Damien Sandow! Thank you. Thank you gentlemen. He tells that cutie Renee Young that he beat Dean Ambrose using the one muscle The Shield is in sort supply of: The Brain. And while he may not have a match tonight, that was all his doing. You see he has a plan for the Royal Rumble. Because the United States Championship is not enough for a man of his stature. Oh no young Renee. Damien Sandow will not be satisfied until he becomes the Champion of Champions on the biggest stage of them all; Wrestlemania!
Intercontinental Title Match: Big E Langston (c) vs. Kofi Kingston
WWE as usual just threw this match together at the last minute. There's no story, though Kofi did pin WWF Champ Randy Orton on tv a couple weeks ago. Kofi Kingston "Boom, Boom, Booms" his way all over the ring and is fairly mediocre as always. His opponent Big E Langston who's Touted as the next "BIG" thing isn't much better; but he retains the Title after hitting Kingston with Big Ending over the shoulder cutter saving us from another boring Kofi Title run.
Hey now! Business is picking up! Ryback is in the back teaching people not to be a bully! ...In the usual Sheamus style of actually being one. And now he has Michael McG... Curtis Axel along for the ride! They're bullying some poor backstage hand when from behind they're approached by...
Dave Batista?! Cryback and Axel look like they might need a change of tights. Batista seems pleased with this and tells the "boys" he'll see them in the Rumble.
Tag-Team Title Match: Cody Rhodes & Goldust (c) vs. The Usos
U-So! U-So! U-Yeah So what. But after defeating the Wyatts for the past couple of weeks Rikishi's boys are given a shot at the Tag-Team Titles. This match is actually quite good with both teams having their chances before Goldust who's playing face in distress hits the Canadian Destroyer out of nowhere on Jey Uso!
Goldie and Jey are down and make their best attempt to get to their corners, but Dust gets the tag just a second quicker! Rhodes comes in a house of fire on Jimmy Uso who also gets the tag! The two men battle back and forth for a bit, but Cody Rhodes hits the Cross Rhodes and picks up the win and the Champions retain!
We're then taken backstage where Stephanie McMahon wearing a neckbrace approaches the Wyatts with a message just for Daniel Bryan! This can't be good. Bryan walks off with her and she says that her husband the COO of the WWE and god's gift to wrestling Triple H has deemed it fit to reward Daniel Bryan tonight! He'll be entering the Royal Rumble as lucky numero uno!
The Wyatts music hits while JBL, Lawler; and Cole talk about the Rumble is now getting under way! And out from the back led by Bray Wyatt is Daniel Bryan! But the real question is...
Who's number 2?...
"Cult of Personality" hits and out from the back comes CM Punk!
Royal Rumble Match (30 Men):
Oh boy... the fans are in for a "treat" here tonight... CM Punk talks to Daniel Bryan. He seems to know this is a raw deal and is suggesting they wait for the third entrant! Daniel Bryan is pretty quit. Punk keeps talking. Daniel just stands there in his Wyatt gear.
And he lets Punk have it! WTH?! He explodes all over CM Punk and now Punk is firing back! The two men are beating the hell out of one another and Lawler is the only one with the balls (or stupidity) to say Hunter's plan seems to be working to a T right now. Maybe entrant 3 will...
It's The Big Show! Punk and Bryan take a break from beating on one another to see the big man lumber to the ring and the second he enters the two worn men attack him with a barrage of kicks! The get Show down on one knee, but he gets up, grabs them by their scrawny necks; and hits a double chokeslam! He then pulls Bryan up to his feet and smacks him across the ring into the ropes. He tries to eliminate Daniel, but now CM is helping him out and they give him a hard time until...
"Special Op" hits and down through the crowd comes Dean Ambrose! But he's not alone! He has Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns with him! They wait on the outside and argue with the ref while on the inside Ambrose takes Punk for a walk across the ring allowing Show to manhandle DBry. The fans begin to countdown to zero hoping for some relief for their heroes when....
"Special Op" hits again! And into the ring comes Seth Rollins! It's not a good day to be CM Punk as the two men pound on him for a bit. Big Show seems to be growing a conscious, but isn't crying this time thankfully. Is anyone surprised when...
"Special Op" hits for a third time! Roman Reigns is now in the ring! And the Sheild grab up CM Punk for him to hit the Spear on! And now he wants DBry
who is looking like he got hit by a truck. Three or four times. Big Show however ain't giving him up?!
The Shield yell at Show. He yells back! They attack him! Big Show throws them off, but the three men dogpile Show, Roman hits the Spear! Big Show falls back into the ropes! He hits it again! And the Shield manage to throw Big Show over the side! JBL is impressed. Hey the buzzer just rang!
It's the 3Man Band! Yeah we wouldn't want to be Heath Slater either. He heads to the ring, gets mauled by the Shield and thrown back on out! The Shield then go back to work on CM Punk and Daniel Bryan! Seth Rollins whips Punk into the ropes, but Punk reverses it and sending Rollins into the ropes knocks him over the top! Good thing for Seth though, Dean is there to catch him ad pull him back in! Punk gives a fights while in the corner Roman has just slammed DBry with a spear! And he's going for another! But Bryan gets his foot up! He goes up top for a dropkick! But Reigns runs in a crotches him!Ambrose and Rollins go up top for a superplex while the buzzer once again sounds and in comes...
Ryback! "Feed Me"... never mind that sold too many t-shirts. Ryback comes in swinging and business picks up as the big man begins throwing down with Reigns! Seth and Dean hit the superplex on Bryan! But as they get up Punk nails them with a double clothesline! He's fired up! He goes up top and hits the Macho Man elbow on Ambrose! But that isn't getting him any closer to an elimination!
And next into the match comes...
Santinoooo Marelllla! JBL says had he known Santino was in the Rumble... well he wouldn't have changed his pick for who won. Marella has a sound Rumble strategy. He stays the hell out of the way until the clock wears down and in comes...
Curtis Axel is number 10! Business has picked up for Ryback as Axel immediately teams with him to put a beating on Reigns! Ambrose meanwhile is busy with Punk and Bryan is kicking the crap out of Rollins in the corner! Axel and Ryback have Roman up on the ropes and Santino sees this as a chance to help! The three men raise Roman perilously close to the ropes! But he kicks his way free and fires off with some right hands on his attackers!
Who's next?! Jerry Lawler is getting up from his seat! "The King" is entering the Rumble! Meanwhile Santino pulls out the Cobra on Roman Reigns! But Roman grabs him by the arm, then the other and swings him up over the top rope and out of the ring! He is immediately clobbered by Axel and Ryback, who whip Roman across the ring and...
right into Jerry Lawler! The two men take a tumble over the top rope! But Reigns hits the apron while Lawler is eliminated! And as he gets back up to his feet Axel charges Roman and gets back body dropped to the outside! And now Reigns is coming at Ryback swinging! He veers back and clubs the big man over the side! Man is Roman pumped!
And now he's set his sights back on CM Punk! Ambrose is trying to force him out when...
THE LIGHTS GO OUT?!! WTH??!!!!
And when they come back on the Shield is reeling?! Inside the ring! It's the Undertaker! He hasn't been seen in a WWE ring since the Shield attacked him! Holy shit! He grabs Reigns by the throat! Chokeslam from Hell! Rollins runs in and gets one of his own! And now Ambros eats a big boot! Punk and Bryan are back up, they grabs Roman up, swing him into the ropes and Taker takes him out with a Clothesline! Meanwhile the buzzer rings and into the match comes...
Damien Sandow! "The Intellectual Saviour" is out here and proving he's smart to the masses he doesn't enter the ring while The Undertaker lays waist to the Sheild and with help from Bryan and Punk eliminate them from the match! Is Taker even in the Rumble?! He bows and...
THE LIGHTS GO OUT!!!
They come back on and Taker is gone! Is he eliminated?! We're getting word now COO Triple H is furious! Taker wasn't supposed to be in the match! The Shield is just as pissed however and fighting with security and officials alike to get back into the ring! DBry and Punk catch a much deserved breather, but not for long... because when they start to beckon Sandow into the ring... they're attacked from behind by Ryback! He's been playing possum in the corner and now he eliminates CM Punk! Punk has been eliminated!
Ryback is celebrating and the buzzer sounds "WE THE PEOPLE!" It's Antonio Cesaro! He pairs up with Sandow?! And the two men enters the ring! Damien attacks Bryan while Cesaro goes after Ryback! Damien hits the You're Welcome full nelson slam cementing Bryan to the mat while Antonio gets the drop on Ryback and signals for the Big Spin! And he gets Ryback up! 1! 2! 3! 4! 5! 6! 7! 8! 9! 10! 11! 12! 13! 14! 15! 16! 17! Drop! Ryback is up and seeing little birdies!
And he gets double clotheslined out by Cesaro and Sandow! DBry is in some trouble now!
But "The Time is Now!" And John Cena is here! But-budd-bah! Big right hands to Sandow and Cesaro! Lariat to Sandow! Lariat to Cesaro! John runs the ropes and drops an elbow on Antonio! He picks him up, runs him to the ropes; and hurls him over! But Cesaro lands on his feet on the apron! He fights Cena over the ropes and back inside! Damien Sandow meanwhile has been locked in the Yes! lock! And he's tapping! But he isn't gonna win that way!
John is having his way with Cesaro now, pounding him in the corner and DBry letting Sandow out of the Lock paid for it as Damien takes him down with a snapmare and a knee to the back of the head. "Millions of Dollars, Millions of Dollars" hits and entrant # 15 is Darren Young! One half of the PTP immediately wins the favor of the crowd when he pulls Sandow off a battered and bruised DBry while Antonio gains the upperhand on Cena, choking him out on the second rope!
"Gold and Smoke" then hits and out from the back comes one half of the Tag-Team Champs Goldust! He immediately helps John and the two men nearly eliminate Cesaro! Sandow meanwhile has Yound backpeddling across the ring, hits a standing dropkick; and...
"WE THE PEOPLE!" sounds for the second time tonight and out from the back comes Jack Swagger! And out of the match goes Darren Young down to the floor! Sandow is now on Cena and has Swagger backing him up! The two men stomp a mudhole into the Champ while Cesaro sets Goldie up for the big swing! Just how many times... 1! 2! 3! 4! 5! 6! 7! 8! 9! 10! 11! 12! 13! 14! 15! 16!
"Gold and Smoke" hits again! And down to the ring comes Cody Rhodes! 17! 18! Rhodes slides into the ring and Antonio throws Dust right into him! Rhodes is back up however while Swagger hits the Swagger Bomb on John in the corner! Cesaro leaps on Rhodes who trips backward over his own brother and both men crash over the top rope and out to the floor below! Cody and Cesaro have both been eliminated! But they aren't done and the two men continue to brawl on the inside! Meanwhile on the inside Swagger and Sandow attempt to eliminate John Cena! But John decks Sandow and while he retreats, he hoists Jack over his shoulder and eliminates him!
Damien Sandow attacks Cena and the two men pick up where their last encounter left off. "Live in Fear" plays and the Wyatts make their way to the ring. There's some speculation of which member is entering the Rumble and it's Bray! He helps Daniel beatdown Goldust and hits him with Sister Abigail before eliminating him! Daniel looks toward Damien and Cena, but Bray stays his hand and they watch the action unfold as the two men attempt to eliminate one another.
And at # 20 it's the 3 Man Band! Jinder Mahal has entered the Rumble! He's attacked by Daniel Bryan and Bray Wyatt almost immediately however and shown the door! Meanwhile John Cena has dropped Damien Sandow like a bad habit with the Attitude Adjustment and he sets him up for the 5 Knuckle Shuffle! He runs the ropes, but Damien springs to his fee?! Look out John! Too late! Sandow rushes in and eliminates him as Cena hits the ropes! John can't believe it! The audience can't! And neither can Sandow?! He's a but stunned. But he celebrates. He's pretty happy as he turns around...
Just in time to see the flying goat at the behest of Bray Wyatt to charge across the ring! And hit the running single leg high knee! Sandow is sent head over feet out of the ring! And he's been eliminated! Bryan nearly does the "Yes!" chant, but stops himself. Him and Bray are all that remains in the ring while they wait out the clock. 3! 2! 1!
"Live in Fear" hits again! And out from the back comes Luke Harper! The Wyatts all embrace in the ring! Lawler says this certainly doesn't bode well for whoever is next. Cole for once agrees. Unless of course it's Erick Rowan.
"Break the Walls Down!" Holy shit! Chris Jericho is back baby! Chris explodes from the back! And he doesn't seem to care who's in the ring as he eats up the cheers from the crowd and charges down to the ring! Bray stomps at him, but Chris dodges! He lays some haymakers into Bray, then Luke; and finally Bryan! He's got some momentum going as he whips Daniel into the ropes and hits him with the Codebreaker! But that's where Chris' luck ends as Bray and Luke beat the hell out of him! Bryan appears to be bleeding from his mouth as he gets up. He wants Jericho! Bray is laughing as Daniel runs in and nails Chris with a Codebreaker of his own!
The fans are booing Bryan a bit. He doesn't seem to care. Just then the Countdown hits and out comes...
Dave Batista! And he's looking to cause some pain! He tears into the Wyatt family and beats the hell out of them for a bit! Jericho is back up and he's kicking the hell out of Bray in the corner! Batista comes in with a clothesline sure to send Bryan over the top rope, but Daniel ducks it and lets Dave have it with several kicks. Luke Harper soon joins the fray and the buzzer rings.
"Live in Fear!" Erick Rowan with his lamb mask charges down to the ring! The Wyatts dogpile Batista while on the other side of the ring Bray battles it out with Jericho! Batista battles back! He hits Erick so hard his mask cracks in half!
"The Next Big Thing" hits and in comes "The Beast!" It's Brock Lesnar at 25! Brock Lesnar is back! He throws the Wyatts aside! Rowan gives him a fight and Erick eats a fist! He doesn't catch his balance and going over the top rope is eliminated! Lesnar begins pounding on Batista! And the two huge men are battling it out! Bray has Jericho down! He rallies his troops and with Bryan and Harper they attempt to eliminate "The Ayatollah of Rock 'N Rolla!" Chris is hanging on for dear life! 3! 2! 1!
"Somebody Call Your Momma!" Bray laughs at this, but Brodus Clay isn't as he slams into the Wyatts and begins battling them, inadvertently saving Jericho in the process! All the men continue to battle about until R-Truth arrives on the scene! He goes after Brodus who's been giving him some trouble in recent weeks along with that no good punk...
Xavier Woods! The ring is filling up with only two entrants to go! And while the Wyatts are busy attempts to eliminate Jericho, Woods and Truth eliminate big Brodus!
And into the Rumble at # 29 comes Sami Zayn! JBL says maybe this guys' chances have improved. Never mind he has Brock, Batista; and the Wyatts to contend with. Not to mention 6 time Champion Chris Jericho Cole reminds. But just who is # 30?! Brock and Batista continue to beat the hell out of one another while Bray gets his comeuppance from Jericho, Daniel Bryan battles newcomer Zayn and Luke Harper takes a beating from Truth and Woods! Harper connects with a big boot however that sends Truth out to the floor! What's up! The buzzer rings and out from the back comes...
Rey Mysterio Jr.! 619! Rey comes in like an explosion! He saves Zayn from elimination taking down Bryan! He does the same with Jericho! And running the ropes hits the 619 on Bray Wyatt! The crowd cheers! And with his help Batista manages to eliminate Brock Lesnar! The Wyatts meanwhile pick a fight with Sami and Xavier. And they win eliminating both men! There's 6 men in the ring! The Wyatts, Jericho, Batista; and Rey! They pair off with Bray and Jericho resuming their ongoing fight while Luke Harper does his best to fend off the monstrous Batista! And Rey Mysterio and Daniel Bryan light up the ring!
Bray hangs Jericho out to dry on the top rope however and he's been eliminated! He then helps DBry and Rey gives them one hell of a fight! Bray almost goes over the top rope, but is saved by Daniel! Mysterio keeps in the fight, but they use his own momentum to eliminate him! Luke Harper is on the verge of being eliminated by this time. But Bray and Bryan attack Batista from behind! He fights them off several times, but in the end the trio are too much at once and when Batista attempts to powerbomb Bryan out, he grabs the top rope and Frankensteiner's the big man right on out! The Wyatts are alone in the ring!
But they can't all win can they? Of course not JBL mocks Cole. He says this is where loyalties are put to the test. Bray stares at his men. He orders Luke Harper to leave! The big man steps over the top rope and hops down to the floor!
Bray eyes Daniel Bryan! The fans are chanting "Yes! Yes! Yes!" DBry ignores them. Bray smiles and tells Bryan to get out. He heads for the ropes, but stops. "Yes! Yes! Yes!" He grabs the ropes and hops out to the apron. "Yes! Yes! Yes!" Bray shakes his head.
But his eyes go wide! Daniel leaps up to the top rope and drops Bray Wyatt back a few steps with a springboard dropkick! "YES! YES! YES!" Daniel joins in!
He's pointing to the sky! "YES! YES! YES!" He runs the ropes, charges across the ring;...
AND HITS THE RUNNING HIGH KNEE! SENDING BRAY RIGHT OVER THE TOP ROPE! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES!
The crowd is going nuts as DBry sheds his Wyatt clothes and hurls them out after Bray! He's got his ring gear on! Cole as usual states the obvious! Daniel used the Wyatts to win the Rumble! He's going to Wrestlemania!
It takes the fans a while to calm down. The announcers then hype the last match of the evening talking about how this match all stems from the events the Raw after Tables, Ladders, Chairs in which Randy Orton in an act of cowardice injued WWE COO Triple H's wife Stephanie McMahon. That night Triple H delivered a Pedigree on Orton and since then has made the Champion of Champions life a living hell. And tonight he looks to take the one thing Orton cares about most, the WWE Championship!
Champion of Champions Match: Randy Orton (c) vs. COO Triple H
It's been obvious since winning the Title for Orton twice last year that Triple H wanted to wear the WWE Championship again. And tonight he looks to become the Undisputed Champion, the Champion of Champions. Randy Orton in the beginning of this match plays the chickenshit heel he's been playing, taking a beating from Hunter every time he's caught.
He recovers his dignity somewhat midway through and hits the DDT through the ropes and the RKO out of nowhere (even though we all saw it coming). He even walked away from the Pedigree, though he spent the following 15 minutes selling it like he was hit in the head with a sledgehammer. Which of course he did end up getting hit with, but only when that cheat Orton produced a chair in an effort to end the match via DQ.
Luckily for us as acting COO, Hunter turned this baby into a no DQ match showing his dominance and letting the sledgehammer come into play. This didn't bode well for Orton. Things began looking up for Randy toward the end of the match however when he hits the RKO right onto the head of Hunter's sledgehammer busting the COO open! 1!... 2!...
Should've hooker the leg faster Randy. Triple H kicks out just before the three. He sells that like he needs a child's Tylenol before making a comeback that Randy Orton cuts off for a bit and battles through only to be hit with the secon Pedigree of the night.
