We see Vince McMahon sitting at a large oak desk.
McMahon, "Good evening, I'm Vince McMahon, owner of the WWF. I'm here tonight to talk about the 'Royal Rumble', more specifically the 'Royal Rumble ' match itself. Just to remind you how it works, 30 men are entered, two begin in the ring. Every minute, another man enters. To be eliminated, you must be tossed over the top rope nril one man remains. Therefore, what number you draw is very important. The draw was held this week by President Gorilla Monsoon. Thirty entrants were assigned numbers. No one knows who has which number, not even the Superstars themselves. I am here, tonight, to announce two, really one entrant. The 'lucky' number one has gone to 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin. Mr. Austin will enter the ring first, and have the opportunity to defeat all thirty other Superstars. Number thirty has been assigned to...a mystery wrestler.
