CWA: Mid-South Coliseum 1/6/85: THE SNAKE STRIKES AGAIN!!!!!

1) King Kong Bundy pinned "mystery opponent"  The Russian Korchenko (w/ Jimmy Hart) at 6:13 with the Avalanche Splash and the five count. Jimmy Hart scurried away after the match.

2) The Devil's Triangle: Adrian Street & One Man Gang (w/ Miss Linda) fought ”Superstar” Bill Dundee & Jos LeDuc to a double disqualification at 10:13 when all four men refused to stop fighting in the ring.

3) The First Family: Rick Rude & Adrian Adonis defeated Dutch Mantell & The Dirty White Boy when Mantell accidentally clotheslined DWB as Rude moved out of the way, leading Rude to put away Anthony with the neck-breaker.

4) The Dream Machine defeated Stomper Jr. (w/ The Mongolian Stomper) at 7:11 when he connected with a running clothesline in a match where Stomper Jr. showed some major heart in a tough match.

INTERMISSION

5) The Moondogs: Spot & Rex (w/ Jimmy Hart) defeated The Wild-Eyed Southern Boys: Steve Armstrong & Tracy Smothers when Hart distracted the referee while Moondog Spot bashed Steve Armstrong with a turkey bone, allowing the Moondogs to once again use nefarious means to win.

6) Southern Tag Team Champions The Rock & Roll Express: Ricky Morton & Robert Gibson defeated The First Family: “Hotstuff” Eddie Gilbert & Playboy Frazier (w/ Jimmy Hart) at 13:11 when Morton and Gibson connected with the double dropkick on Frazier. Eddie Gilbert and Jimmy Hart weren’t happy after the match.

7) Jake “The Snake” Roberts defeated CWA Heavyweight Champion Tommy Rich at 19:11 when Roberts connected with the DDT. The final moments saw One Man Gang arrive at ringside and drill Rich with a chain-wrapped right hand behind the referee’s back, leading The Snake to hit the DDT to score the win to become the brand new CWA Heavyweight Champion.

Great show! Jake is taking over TN. I don't think anyone can stop him. I really like the first Family and the Devil's Triangle. Memphis was always thought of as a tag team territory and you have recreated that. I enjoy this every week

Really good show here. The Adorable Ravishing Ones vs. Dutch and DWB, Moondogs vs. Southern Boys, and Street/Gang vs. Superstar/LeDuc would have had me first row, front and center. Jake Roberts vs. Tommy Rich main event would have sent me over the moon. Can't wait to see where things go now that Jake and Kingfish both hold the gold. Great MSC show here Justin.
