12/28/96 - Viking Hall Philadelphia, PA
Buck Zumhoff and the Honky Tonk Man thank us for joining the original Rock 'N Roll broadcasting team for another exciting edition of ECW Weekend Warriors, tonight coming to you live from Viking Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania! They then tell us that they have an exciting show lined up for us tonight! Also on the card Women's Champion "Gorgeous" Michele Starr, the Bayou Boy's Cousin Jamie; and the newly formed New Killer Bees will also be in action!
Just then "It's Raining Men" by The Weather Girls hit and out comes "The Gorgeous One" ECW Women's Champion Michele Starr! He has Joe E. Legend with him as usual. Michele Starr says that he witnessed that little o'l Battle Royal the girl's in the back had in his honor here last week! And he ain't afraid of the "former" Champion Leilani Kai! This Hawaiian "Princess!" Cause while she might dream hereself being a Princess, the ECW fans know that Michele Starr is it's one and only Queen! Buck and HTM aren't arguing that. Starr then says that he won't be facing Kai here tonight! Oh no! Tonight he'll be facing someone who actually impressed him during the Battle Royal! Miss Brandi Wine!
Joel Gertner makes with the intros while Danny Davis officiates all matches.
Match: Michele Starr w/ Joe E. Legend vs. Brandi Wine
As Brandi Wine makes her way out to the ring, Zumhoff is confused. He could've sworn Brandi got eliminated first last week. She did Honky confirms, stupid. Michele Starr doesn't go right on the offensive however as Brandi enters the ring, instead telling us all that young Miss Brandi Wine reminds him of Michele Starr at that age! Why look at those eyes! That hair! Almost as "Gorgeous" as he is!
Brandi however doesn't seem to like Starr's affections and pushes his hand away from her hair. Before clocking him with a hard right! She beats him into the ropes, but Michele quickly recovers and reverses a whip before taking her down with a clothesline that turns her inside out! He's pretty pissed as he stomps Wine out before locking in a Sleeper Hold! He starts singing "Go to sleep" as Brandi goes limp and Davis declares him the winner. The ref checks on Wine while Starr celebrates with Legend.
COMMERCIAL BREAK
ECW Correspondent Terri Runnels is back after the break with the Bayou Boys! "The Redneck" Rebel" Doug Gilbert tells us that him and Cousin Jamie may've been down on their luck of later, but sometimes that's just the way things goes his momma used to say. So don't count them out yet! Cousin Jamie however looks confused and says he wasn't told he'd have to know how to count tonight.
Match: Cousin Jamie w/ Doug Gilbert vs. Flash Flanagan
Cousin Jamie and Flash Flanagan have a fast paced back and forth bout here which with little help from Doug Gilbert at ringside sees Cousin Jamie puts Flanagan away in a flash with a bridged Northern Lights suplex.
A video clip featuring snippets from matches that took place this past Wednesday's show. We see "The Innovator of Violence" Tommy Dreamer hit the Fireman's Carry Slam on Rick Rude, "The Dark Prophet" Brimstone deliver Steve Blackman with a Chokeslam from Hell, Taka Michinoku flattern Spike Hughes with the Michinoku Driver, Scott Taylor hit the high-angle Chop Drop on Chavo Guerrero Jr.; and "The Leprechaun" Erin O'Grady cash in on Doug Gilbert with the Lucky Charm. COMMERCIAL BREAK
B. Brian Blair and Brady Boone tell us that anyone who messes with The New Killer Bees had better prepare to get stung!
Tag-Team Match: The New Killer Bees vs. Tekno Team 2000
Tekno Team 2000 Troy and Travis should've heeded that warning. Though they get some offense in, Troy falls victim to the tandem missile dropkick from B. Brian Blair and Brady Boone they're calling the Allergic Reaction and Blair makes the cover for the win.
After the match we're taken back stage for Honky Tonk Man's "Rock 'N Rolling" segment where he sends us to a new video by the the band Tool with "Stinkfist!"
COMMERCIAL BREAK
Zumhoff and HTM welcome us back from the last commercial break of the evening before hyping tonight's huge Main Event! This consists mostly of talking about the talented ECW Light Heavyweight Champion "The Japanese Buzzsaw" Yoshihiro Tajiri and the man he beat for the Title, but didn't actually pin "The Lone Wolf" Dean Malenko. Honky calls Dean a whiner, reminding us that Tajiri actually did pin Malenko right here last week. They talk a bit about the skill of Tajiri's masked opponent here tonight too.
Gertner: The following contest is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first at 220 lbs. from Robbinsdale, Minnesota; Battle Kat!
Battle Kat comes down to the ring and shows off some martial arts for the kids in the audience while Honky conjectures that Rick Rude is also from
