WWF Fall and Winter of 1996
WWF Title
Bret Hart won the Title at Canadian Conflict. He has defended it against all comers and has held onto it with the help of the Hart Family. As 1997 approaches there are many worthy challengers for the title and it will be a miracle if he can retain it.
Intercontinental Title/European Title
WWF President Gorilla Monsoon announced that the two titles will be unified at the “Royal Rumble”. “Stone Cold” Steve Austin holds the Intercontinental Title and Hunter Hearst Helmsley, with the 'Ninth Wonder of the World' Chyna, regained the European Title from Marc Mero on a RAW broadcast on November 4, in Ft. Wayne, IN.
WWF Tag Team Titles
The team of Owen Hart and the British Bulldog hold the titles, but the Road Warriors are hot on their trail.
Around the WWF
The Undertaker, having broken for Paul Bearer, is on a quest for the Title. Bearer has enlisted the help of Kane and Mankind to stop the “Deadman”.
The Wolf Pac has been running roughshod over the competition. Diesel wants to regain the WWF Title, Razor Ramon remains a threat to any title in the world. X Pac proves, every day, he is one of the top young stars in the game. When Shawn Michaels was injured, people thought that would be the end of the faction, but his help from ringside has been invaluable.
Teddy Long's “Nation of Domination” includes, Ahmed Johnson, Mark Henry. Kama and Savio Vega, but Long would love to add Rocky Maivia to his group. So far, the third generation Superstar has rebuffed all overtures.
The next big Pay per View event will be the “Royal Rumble” on February 9 from the “Great Western Forum” in Los Angeles. We will continue to broadcast RAW on Monday nights.
