Frankie ‘Thumper’ Lancaster vs. Big Blue Yankee
Coming off a hard fought battle against Arn Anderson last week, Thumper gets right back on the horse this week. Southeastern Tag Team Champions the Midnight Rebels vs. Ted Allen and Roy Lee Welch
These four Jr. Heavyweights do not disappoint the capacity crowd here in Dothan. The rugged, veteran, Southern duo pulls out a lot of dirty tricks to gain an advantage on the tag champions. But with the crowd behind them, Marty and Tommy made their comeback and displayed some of the unique tandem offense that has them making waves throughout professional wrestling, including the Rebel Yell back body drop into a powerbomb on Allen to pick up a victory @ 11’04

Charlie Platt and Rick Stewart welcome everyone to another exciting edition of Southeastern Championship Wrestling brought to you by Nelson Ford- Lincoln-Mercury in Dothan and Big Daddy’s Pawn Shop in Birmingham. We are just two weeks away from Christmas in Dothan, where the Houston County Farm Center will play host to one of the premier wrestling events of 1984! All 3 titles will be on the line for this big event, plus 7 more big matches as only SECW can deliver. Now fans, last week Pat Rose was abandoned by his former tag team partner Arn Anderson, and had plenty on his mind following the big Dothan main event last week against Marty Jannetty, let’s take a look…
***VTR***
A bloodied Pat Rose sits alone in his locker room, muttering to himself. He looks up at the camera and seems lost. Pat says that he and Arn had a good thing going, and that he has done everything the Tennessee Stud has asked of him. Rose say’s that he is nobody’s scapegoat though, and won’t take this lying down. Arn Anderson, Ron Fuller, you two goons better grow eyes in the backs of your heads cause I’ll be there. See you boys next week
***End VTR***
‘Ya know something Charlie Platt, I’ve been tagging with Pat Rose for months, carrying the putz to the greatest heights of his career, and that is the most fire I’ve seen in his eyes yet. If Pat Rose had been this motivated before last week then maybe I’d still be a champion, and maybe he would have a friend or two. Ya see Pat Rose, I’m an Anderson, and we have no time or patience to allow someone to ride our coattails to greatness. I’m not a hard man to find Pat Rose, so forget about the idle threats, grow a pair, and put your name on the dotted line, and then I’ll beat that competitive fire right out of ya.
‘Now, I saw Tom Prichard and Marty Jannetty out here earlier, and they looked mighty impressive. Roy Lee Welch and Ted Allen know the ins and outs of the squared circle, and beating them the way they did is mighty impressive. But it will take a lot more than that to impress Arn Anderson. I hope I left an impression on you boys last week when I took young Frankie Lancaster to wrestling school. A lot of people been asking me Charlie Platt, ‘Arn do you have a partner?’ Not only do I have A partner, but I’ve got THE PERFECT partner. In two weeks on Christmas night, my perfect partner and I get our shot at the Rebels. Good for us and bad for you.’

Norvell Austin and Brickhouse Brown vs Jimmy Backlund and Randy Barber
The tag team in high demand across the entire country, Backlund and the Ragin Bull, meet a stern test today in Alabama Vet, Norvell Austin and resident youngster on the rise, Brickhouse Brown. But in high demand cuts the ring off and takes it to Brick from the get go. Miscommunication allows Brown to make the tag to Austin, and JYD comes in a house of fire. Austin hits a running powerslam on Backlund and tags Brick back in who finishes off Jimmy with his spinning neck breaker @ 5’25

We return from break to see Norvell Austin and Brickhouse Brown at the interview area. Brickhouse says it’s great to have his main man back in Alabama, and that with Porkchop and JYD showing him the ropes, he knows he will make all his rasslin dreams come true. ‘Have mercy, I’s knows that’s right. The J-Y-D and the P-Y-T gone boogie up and down these here roads and knock knots on heads cause it bees that way. Oww.’
Platt and Stewart switch the focus to a new manager set to make his debut here in Southeastern Championship Wrestling, long time fans will certainly remember, Professor Malenko who terrorized the Gulf Coast in the 70’s before travelling to the Orient to be one of the only ‘gaijin’ to every be offered a trainers role at the dojo’s there. And now he has returned to the United States with his motley crew ready to display dominance.
Flanked by the robotic looking Josef and the masked Checkmate, the Professor has a wide-eyed smile upon his face, ‘Yace, yace, der Professor remembers ruling Gulf Coast with iron first. Der Professor has travelled wrestling world, and American wrestlers epitomize what is wrong in sports today. This has been proven time and time again. My boys and I are here to prove American weakness. Josef and Dean are finely tuned machines bent on wreckage. The masked Checkmate is the final straw, once you see him, eeetz too late, bwhahahaha.’
Match 2

Josef Malenko and the Masked Checkmate w/Prof. Malenko the Great vs. Bill Ash and Crimson Tide
Much like Professor Malenko predicted his boy Josef and the masked Checkmate operate like a well-oiled machine and simply dissect the large Crimson Tide. Malenko disgustedly tosses Tide into his corner for him to tag out and Josef stands stoically. Bill Ash gives it all he’s got, but he simply doesn’t have what it takes to overcome the grappling superiority of his counterparts, and Josef locks in the brutal Stepover Face Lock, the STF and picks up the submission victory @ 4’59

Lightning Express vs. Tim and Tom Renesto
A highly competitive, back and forth, tag team encounter welcomed us back from commercial break. The Renesto’s are really hell-bent on proving their worth here today, and really take it to Horner and Armstrong, who can’t be completely recovered from the Nightmare Cage Match just two weeks ago. But the valiant Horner responds well when the chips are down and ‘White Lightning’ fights back worse than a moonshine hangover before tagging in his well rested partner. Brad comes in a house of fire with backdrops, dropkicks, and flying back elbows. Armstrong plants Tim with his patent Side Russian Legsweep and floats over into the pinfall to pick up a hard fought victory @ 7’11
After the contest Brad and Tim make their way over to the interview area, but before they can get there,
KEN WAYNE AND DANNY DAVIS ARE BACK!!! They jump Brad and Tim from behind and pound away at the Lightning Express as Charlie and Rick head for the hills. Davis slams Horner down on the concrete as Wayne locks Brad in a camel clutch, forcing him to watch, as Danny Davis GRINDS TIMMY’S FACE INTO THE FLOOR! This is brutal!
The Nightmares spit at their fallen competitors before grabbing a mic, “you boys want tag title shots and matches with everyone except Ken Wayne and Danny Davis? Well that ain’t how it works. It ain’t over, IT WILL NEVER BE OVER!”

We return from break and Platt and Stewart say that they aren’t doctors, but the emergency medical technicians on hand for all NWA Sanctioned events are pretty sure that Timmy Horner’s nose was broken. Brad Armstrong was livid, and fans I’m sure that the Nightmares eerie message of things not being over between them and the Lightning Express seems very likely.
Now fans, to today’s TV Main Event. Pat Rose went to the promoters and NWA representative, the honorable Lou Thesz and wanted a match to prove himself at the earliest possible date. So here on this very program, Pat Rose will take on a member of the Stud Stable. We’ve already seen that Arn Anderson is in the building and…
‘And that is exactly who I want Platt. Arn Anderson, we were like brothers, or so I thought. I had your back through thick and through thin. We took on the most insane wrestling schedule of any champions in all of wrestling, and yea I got pinned. The Rebels are a good tag team, I was unfamiliar with them, and I won’t make any excuses, I got pinned. It happens. Even to the great Anderson’s and I’m going to prove that right here today, that is if Arn and the Tennessee Stud have the guts to let him come and fight me.’
‘Boy, you must have a death wish. Now, for all the hard work you put in to the Stud Stable Pat Rose, I bought you a reprieve. Jimmy, Jerry, and especially Arn wanted to take you out. Permanently. But I convinced them to give you a chance, and I got you a match against the man that pinned you in the tag title bout, and what happened Pat? Huh? You lost again! I saved your career once again by keeping Arn from taking you out after that match. And here you are pissin’ in the wind once again. Boy you must be stupid; I can’t believe I ever thought you were Stud Stable material! Hell Platt, I think Double A deserves a raise for carrying this BUM for so long!’
Pat Rose has had enough! He blasts the Tennessee Stud right in the mouth! Down goes Fuller! Oh no. Here comes the Stud Stable, Anderson, Golden, and Stubbs converge on their fallen leader, Rose quickly and smartly retreats inside the ring, where he is very proud of himself, pointing to his noggin.
Arn Anderson: “You want it boy, you got it!”

Arn Anderson vs. Pat Rose
These former partners tear into one another ferociously from the opening bell. Very little wrestling takes place and official Ron West has to use his count liberally to keep the brawl inside the ring and also to get illegal holds and maneuvers broken! Rose goes to the eyes of Arn and unwraps his taped wrist, HE IS CHOKING ARN OUT! Double A is starting to turn three shades of purple but finally escapes with a well placed back elbow to the nose of Rose! Now Arn kicks it into high gear. A huge back body drop sends Precious Pat into the lights, and then Arn mounts his opponent, busting Pat open with his dreaded left hands.
Rose isn’t quite finished though as he kicks Anderson away. He sees his own blood and charges after Arn, they tumble through the ropes and to the floor, but the fight’s not over there! Pat fires Arn into the ring apron and Anderson crumbles to the floor, clutching at his midsection. Rose stomps at the face of Anderson and begins blasting right hands into his head. Rose rolls back into the ring to prevent the count-out, and now Anderson is busted wide open as well.
These two warriors are feeling the effects of this brutal encounter as they can barely make it back to their feet in the center of the ring. Anderson ducks a clothesline from Rose and plants him in the center of the ring with a DDT. Anderson could make the cover here, but chooses to take the tape that Rose was using earlier and choke Rose with it! Ron West is letting this thing get carried away, but is able to take the tape from Anderson. Precious Pat is in awful shape as Double A pulls him to his feet, he cinches him up, and devastates Rose with his Ghordbuster Suplex to pick up the win @ 10’02
Out from the back comes the Tennessee Stud leading Jimmy Golden and Jerry Stubbs to the ring. Fuller has lost his top hat and cane, and is fit to be tied! Golden and Stubbs put a beating on Rose, and then under the direction of the Stud deliver not one, but TWO SPIKE PILEDRIVERS to Precious Pat!!!

‘Gorgeous’ Gary Young
VS
Johnny Rich
In possibly the most evenly contested match up of the night, both of these athletes proved why Southeastern Championship Wrestling is one of the hottest promotions in the entire NWA. Back and forth action, with neither man maintaining an advantage for very long. That is until Young hit a Brainbuster suplex on Rich that he was sure had the match won for him, but Rich was able to get his foot on the bottom rope. An incredulous Young began working at a frenetic pace, which ultimately proved to be his undoing as he missed a big splash from the second turnbuckle. Johnny Rich caught his breath and was ready for action when Gary Young finally made it to his feet. Young fired Rich into the ropes, but Rich ducks the clothesline, he hit the farside ropes, Lou Thesz Press connects and leads the RAT Patrol, Inc. member to victory @ 17’41

Mr. Wrestling II and the Flame
VS
Tonga Kid and Scott Armstrong
TK and Armstrong try to keep the momentum rolling for RAT Patrol, Inc. but face a tall order tonight. The #1 Contender and former Southeastern Heavyweight Champion Mr. Wrestling II has a new protégé with him this evening, the massive former member of the Stud Stable, the Flame. The power advantage of the big man really dictates the pace in the early going as he has his way with his smaller opponents. But if we’ve learned anything about the Armstrong family and the Tonga Kid, it’s that they’re resilient, and they prove that here clawing their way back into this match up. Mr. Wrestling II picked the wrong time to prove a point to Tonga Kid by embarrassing him, and ate a Standing Side Kick for his troubles. Tonga Kid was unable to capitalize, but was able to make the tag to his fresh partner.
Scotty Armstrong comes in a house of fire, taking the fight to both Mr. Wrestling II and the Flame, but Scott did not realize that II had tagged the Flame in, and as he concentrates on Wrestling II, he is avalanched from behind by the mountainous Flame. The masked man locks his much smaller opponent in a bear hug and really wrenches away, before driving the wind out of Scott by running him into his and II’s corner. Flame makes the tag to Wrestling II who immediately goes across the ring to the Tonga Kid. As the referee puts Tonga out of the ring, The Flame LOADS HIS MASK, and head butts Scott Armstrong into oblivion, unbeknownst to TK or the ref! Armstrong groggily makes it to his feet only to be met with the Million Dollar Knee Lift from Mr. Wrestling II leading his team to victory @ 13’13

Southeastern Heavyweight Champion Austin Idol
VS
Mr. Wrestling III
The champ, ‘the Boss,’ has been the ultimate role as of late, electrifying fans across Mississippi and Alabama since finally taking the Southeastern Title from Wrestling II, this time in conclusive fashion. That doesn’t mean its all nightclubs and parties for the champion though. The newly appointed Mr. Wrestling, III has been on quite the roll himself, and takes it to the champ in the early going. But Idol has been to the brink on many occasions and won’t be kept down. With the Dothan crowd solidly in his corner, Idol takes over the contest after an errant knee drop leaves III a bit worse for the wear, leading directly to the Las Vegas Leglock and a big submission victory for the champ @ 15’05
