-We go now to Channel 5 Studios here in Memphis to Lance Russell and Dave Brown-
Lance Russell and Dave Brown welcome us to “Championship Wrestling ‘84”, the final show before the Christmas spectacular. Jerry “The King” Lawler, Jake “The Snake” Roberts and Jos LeDuc are out to start the show. Lance goes over the main event last week, where an mis-timed event caused Lawler to be pinned by King Kong Bundy. The King says it was an unfortunate mistake, but something like that won’t happen this Monday when he finally gets King Kong Bundy inside the steel cage. Lawler says he appreciates The Snake’s help recently, but he knows it is all up to him this Monday night and he wants to beat Bundy by himself.
Jerry Lawler then sticks his thumb in Jos LeDuc’s chest and says he wants to make one thing clear. He doesn’t wanted LeDuc’s help when the big man guards the cage door and he doesn’t need it. He has never trusted LeDuc and they aren’t friends. So all he wants Jos LeDuc to do this Monday is stand by the door and do nothing. Lawler says if LeDuc tries anything, he’ll kick his French Canadian ass all the way back to Quebec City! LeDuc snarls as he gets in Lawler’s face, but a smiling Jake Roberts steps in and tells LeDuc that Lawler knows what he wants and that’s the way it’s going to go. Roberts and LeDuc walk off, with The Snake still snickering.
MATCH ONE: JERRY “THE KING” LAWLER VS. JOHN KING
The King wins this one with a flying fist drop off the top rope at 4:34 to score the pin… Lawler was fierce as ever as he took out King and worked him over from bell to bell. Lawler shook hands with the fans around ringside after the match.
Jerry "The King" Lawler was walking back to the dressing room when out came THE ONE MAN GANG! The two men stared each other down, before Gang barked at Lawler a bit and then walked over to the desk. Lance Russell says he has been mighty impressed by the footage of the One Man Gang in recent weeks, but seeing him in person is another story. Lance puts over how massive he is and then asks why he has come to CWA. The Gang says simply that he has a job to do and it all starts this Monday. Lance asks if he is referring to his signed match with Rufus R. “Freight Train” Jones. Gang says he is going to put Jones out to pasture and make a big impression on all the CWA fans and suits in the back.

Lance Russell and Dave Brown are discussing their holiday plans, when there is an interruption in the studio! The fans begin booing because out walk:
IT’S “THE EXOTIC” ADRIAN STREET AND MISS LINDA!!!
Fans clearly remember Adrian Street and Miss Linda from their previous stint in CWA and boo them as Dave Brown asks why they are here. Adrian says Championship Wrestling is full of surprises today – first with the One Man Gang showing up here and now the Exotic One himself! Adrian tells Dave that like the One Man Gang, he is here to make an impact and nobody can make an impact like the Exotic One. In fact, Adrian would like to challenge anyone who is ready for a fight to come out and face him right here in the ring right now!
The fans soon cheer because here comes “Superstar” Bill Dundee! Dundee makes his way out and asks if Adrian has had a face lift or something because he looks more like a aging Rockette than ever! Street snarls and says Dundee is nothing more than a 4-foot-tall Elvis wannabe. Dundee tells Adrian that “this Elvis wannabe” would be happy to mop the floor with him right here in the ring right now! Dundee then heads up to the ring, but Adrian just smiles and says, on second thought, he’ll save it for the paying customer if Dundee will agree to face him on Monday! Dundee agrees but then calls Street a coward. Street and Linda waltz off, as Dundee’s scheduled opponent Josh Stroud enters the ring.
MATCH TWO: “SUPERSTAR” BILL DUNDEE VS. JOSH STROUD
Bill Dundee scores the win over Josh Stroud at 6:41 with the Bomb’s Away knee drop off the second rope… USFL standout Stroud put up a tough fight and scores a near fall with football tackle, but the Superstar fights his way back and scores the big win with his signature move.
The Rock n’ Roll Express and Ricky Gibson talk about their double dog collar match against CWA Tag Team Champions The Gilberts this Monday night. Ricky Morton says that in his mind it all comes down to this one match. He and Robert Gibson aren’t normally the kind of wrestlers who use blood and guts tactics, but make no mistake that they’ve learned their fair share from Paul Morton and Ricky Gibson over the years. This Monday, this feud comes to an end after all these months. And this Monday, Rock n’ Roll will be king!

COMMERCIAL BREAK:
------------
------------
Jimmy Hart and the entire First Family are out as we come back from break. Eddie Gilbert speaks first and says he had a chuckle at Ricky Morton’s comments earlier. Eddie and his Tommy joke that in a dog collar match, everything is legal. Maybe a spark will just happen to catch fire in that match so that Robert Gibson can have scars that match Ricky Morton’s! Jimmy Hart then promises that this Monday night, we will also see the last of Jerry “The King” Lawler because King Kong Bundy will crush him inside that steel cage.
Southern Heavyweight Champion King Kong Bundy says that Jimmy Hart is exactly right, but he also has something to say to his stablemates. He heard Lawler demanding no interference from his goons earlier and he is going to demand the same thing! Jimmy Hart looks taken aback and says that this is the perfect chance to put the screws to Lawler. Bundy tells Hart that he doesn’t need any of that. He will squash The King like a bug on his own! Bundy warns all of his stablemates to keep their nose out of things this Monday night.
RICK RUDE & ADRIAN ADONIS vs. RANDY BARBER & JIMMY BACKLUND
"Ravishing" Rick Rude scores the pin on Randy Barber at 4:02 with the neck-breaker… Backlund and Barber are in demand across the country, but they still have trouble mastering getting wins. Rude and Adonis use tremendous teamwork to score the easy victory in this match.
Dutch Mantell is out next and he wants to know where CWA Champion Tommy Rich is this week. Lance says Tommy has commitments in Atlanta, but he will be in the Mid-South Coliseum for the Best 2/3 Falls match this Monday night. Mantell snickers and says it's clear that CWA is not a priority for “Mr. Big National Star” Tommy Rich, but it won’t be a problem this Monday. Because that CWA Title is coming off Wildfire and then he can spend all of his time in Atlanta. The Dirty Dutchman tells Lance that he is sick and tired of dealing with Tommy Rich and it will come to an end this Monday night in Memphis!

Tracy says in his mind, he and Steve could have been the Southern Tag Champions if not for the Moondogs. Now, he knows the Moondogs are vicious and evil, but he and Steve have beat them before. Steve says he talked to his dad Bob Armstrong last week and the Bullet advised him to just keeping coming at the Moondogs no matter what they try. This Monday, Smothers and Armstrong are coming to even the score!
THE MOONDOGS VS. MARK RAGIN & THE MIDNIGHT RAIDER

Jerry “The King” Lawler comes back out for some final words with Lance Russell about his cage match with King Kong Bundy. Lawler tells Lance that it’s going to brutal this Monday night. It will be a war. But the King is ready for war and he is ready to be the Southern Heavyweight Champion again. Jake “The Snake” Roberts makes his way out now and Lawler looks mildly annoyed. Jake tells Lawler that he just came out to wish him good luck one final time before this Monday. The Snake says “I think it’s going to the most important night of your career – trust me.” Roberts smiles and walks off as Lawler finishes up and says he is ready for King Kong Bundy.
