Setting up some basic rules and regulations

In the interest of trying to grow this thing, and make it a little better defined as to how someone goes about getting a promotion in WrestleWARS! a set of guidelines are going to need to be set. Same thing will happen for Territory Throwdown as well.


Rosters are going to change a little bit.

Full time rosters can be on National TV, and will have a set promotion of 50 workers, that included men, women and managers
You will also be allowed

1 Owner
1 commissioner
4 referees
4 officials
4 Announcers
1 Ring announcer


If you plan to have someone take part in the ring at all, they have to be counted as a wrestler, and not just stashed away as an official or an announcer, for example, I have Jerry Lawler, but he is going to be counted as a wrestler because he will get into the ring from time to time, on the other hand, Shane McMahon will be an official because I have no plans to put him in the ring at all, and just plan on him continuing his role as WWF CEO, the day I decide to make him an in ring performer, I will have to move him down to the wrestler pool. Full time promotions will also have the chance to book up to 20 free agents for any show.]]]]

In an interest in keeping a stable talent pool, only 6 full time promotions will be operated at a time


The next step down is Indy Promotions. Indy Promotions are not on national tv, but can be syndicated, they will have a set roster of 25 which will include men, women and managers they will also be able to carry:

1 Owner
1 Commissioner
3 Referees
2 officials
3 announcers
1 ring announcer

As an Indy you are only required to post 2 shows a month, but you can post as many as you want, in order to move up to full time, if you want to move up, you will have to post shows for 3 months. Then if there is an open slot in the full time promotions and you wish to move up, you can. Indy Promotions can book up to 10 free agents for a show. In the interest of creating a stable talent pool, 12 Indys can be in operation at a time


If anyone new comes in and wants to start up, then they can do so as an outlaw promotion. Outlaw promotions have no set roster members, they will be able to book free agents, 25 total, including everything from referees to managers to wrestlers and officials. An Outlaw promotion, if they so wish, can become an Indy promotion, if they wish to, after 4 posted shows (that are at least a week apart). Full time and Indy promoters can also run Outlaw promotions if they wish to do so, but they will not get the option to move those promotions up to Indy unless they are willing to give up their current full time promotion.


We may also start parity drafts, or monkey wrenches in WrestleWARS as we are also doing in Territory Throwdown.

These rules are in no way trying to tell anyone what to do, or trying to control anything, other than giving a basic outline to how to get involved in the game. There are other options on the board for anyone who doesn't want to take part in the game, but still wants to post shows to do so in the Alternative Timelines section. My hope is that this board will provide a little something for everyone, whether you want to take part in a group game, or play in your own sandbox. Everyone who is here is here because I invited them, and I consider everyone here a friend, I want this to be a place we can all unwind together, in whatever way is the most fun for you.

Feedback

We all love getting it, but we aren't always the best at leaving it, I know many subscribe to the a review for a review mantra and I think it's a good one. I would like to address only one thing, and that is honesty in feedback. We have always taken a polite view of feedback, and I think it's good not to dog someone or tear someone apart for something we are doing for fun, at the same time, I think it is equally important to tell someone what you think, in all honesty, we are all friends here, several of us have known each other for a decade. I think we can safely say we know each other pretty well for internet buddies, in saying that, if you find something in a show didn't work, or you didn't like it, politely explain why in feedback, I know I would appreciate it, to know what is working and what isn't.

At the same time, don't go overboard with it, and don't attack the person writing it, on the other side of the coin, as a writer, don't take criticism to much to heart and don't take it personally, as I said we are friends, I would hope after all we have been through together we can be honest with one another and still take a little constructive criticism. And if for whatever reason if you think someone went to far, contact them and work it out, cause trust me, I invited all of you here, I know you guys, and I know you guys don't hold any malice toward each other.

How should I list Dusty Rhodes? He was primarily an announcer, but I won't ever rule out him managing on occasion, like he did with the Nasties last month. And him working a match a year against a Parker or Sullivan type isn't out of the realm of possibility. Do we decide how to list someone based on amount of work, or based on all future possibilities?

If Dusty being announcer means he can't manage or work ever, then he takes up 1 of my 50, and it's just for 1 or 2 shows a year. Can I have him manage on occasion and announce, and leave him listed as an announcer?

And about officials/ref's. Full-time is 4 and 4. I have Magnum T.A., JJ Dillon, Nick Patrick, and Randy Anderson. I use Doug Dillinger's name on occasion, but only to break up fights. Should he count as one of my 4 officials? Is officials a place to hold a vet like Wahoo or Ivan Koloff for me, even if I don't use them in a suit or tie? I don't want to carry a legend and prevent someone the opportunity for booking them either.

For Dusty if it's a once a year type thing, then that's fine. If it's a once a month, or even once a quarter, then he should probably be considered a wrestler, but once or twice a year, he is ok as an announcer who gets his hands a little dirty. But if he were to start coming to the ring with people every week ala Eric Bischoff in the nWo days, then he would have to be a worker.

Refs are straight up refs, IE mine are Hebner, White, Kordaris, Silverman. So Patrick and Anderson would be refs and you have 2 spots left


Your owner doesn't have to be the main owner, he can be like a CEO, so that could be JJ, then Magnum fills the COmmish spot, Dillenger is perfect for your official spot, and yeah you could use Wahoo and Ivan if you want them, ala Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco. You just would have to use them as an official, on a board, or breaking up fights like Tony Garea and Renee Goulet

I like these rules, I think it gives a bit more structure, especially as far as the indy and outlaw shows are concerned.
