WHALEN interviews BEN BASSARAB in the ring. Whalen talks about Bassarab’s comments last week, with Ben saying that he still hasn’t received any quality matches, and he’s not even scheduled to wrestle on today’s show! He says that he’s just as good, if not BETTER than the other mid-heavyweight wrestlers in Stampede. Bassarab then issues an open challenge to any wrestler in Stampede to face him in the ring.
JIM NEIDHART V. HUBERT GALLANT, JIP – Gallant uses his quickness to try to throw the powerhouse Neidhart off his game, and it works for a while, but Neidhart eventually turns the tables, and in the end, Neidhart catches Gallant coming off the top rope, and drives him into the mat with a Powerslam.
WHALEN takes a moment to talk about the big Boxing Day show which will take place on December 26 at Calgary’s Stampede Corral. NWA Champion Ric Flair will return to Calgary for that show, he’ll defend the title in a rematch with Bret Hart, but this time it will be a Best 2 out of 3 Falls match, with a special guest referee! The identity of the referee, as well as the other matches on the card, will be revealed in the coming weeks.

WHALEN interviews BOBBY DUNCUM and JIM NEIDHART in the ring.
VTR: Last Week On Stampede Wrestling:
When we join the match, Neidhart has been busted open, but it doesn’t seem to slow him down. The end comes when, as Neidhart and the Masked Superstar brawl on the floor, Bobby Duncum nails the Super Destroyer with a vicious Lariat, and covers him for the 1, 2, 3!
Neidhart and Superstar continue to brawl on the floor, even after the bell rings. Superstar gets the upper hand, and rams Neidhart, head-first, into the ringpost, knocking him senseless. Superstar then jumps into the ring and attacks Duncum from behind. Superstar knocks Duncum to the mat, then kneels over him and repeatedly punches Duncum in the head with his taped fists, even grinding his knuckles into Duncum’s forehead! By the time several referees are able to pull the Superstar off, Duncum is a bloody mess!
Duncum and Neidhart talk about what happened last week, and then challenge the masked duo to a Texas Death match next week!
WORLD MID-HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH:
“EXOTIC” ADRIAN STREET (Champion) V. BRUCE HART, JIP – We join the match at about the 15-minute mark, where Bruce has the match well in hand. Hart focuses on the knee of the Champion, looking to soften him up for his Hart Breaker submission hold.
At this point, Ben Bassarab makes his way down to ringside to watch the match.
Street is able to turn the tables, after raking Hart’s eyes, and goes on to get the pinfall with a crossbody from the top rope.

WHALEN talks about the Masters of Disaster, Kerry Brown and Kelly Kiniski, repeatedly calling out Davey Boy Smith and Dynamite Kid, then he talks about Brown and Kiniski’s tainted win over Smith and Bret Hart on last week’s show.
NORTH AMERICAN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH:
DAVEY BOY SMITH & DYNAMITE KID (Champions) V. KERRY BROWN & KELLY KINISKI (w/ JR Foley), JIP – We only see the final few minutes of this match. When we join the contest, the Champions are in control, but JR Foley interjects himself, hitting Dynamite Kid across the back as Dynamite ran the ropes. This stunned Dynamite, and he then turned his attention to Foley.
This gave Kerry Brown the opportunity to attack Dynamite from behind. After pummeling Dynamite, Brown drops him on his head with a Piledriver for the 1, 2, 3!
Kerry Brown and Kelly Kiniski are the new NA Tag Team Champions!!!

Back from the break, Whalen climbs into the ring, and interviews JR FOLEY and the new Champions. Foley gloats about the win, with Whalen suggesting that the outcome may have been diferent, had Foley not hit Dynamite Kid with his cane. Foley admonishes Whalen, telling him to stop spreading these lies about him, his men won the belts fair and square. Whalen says that, if that’s the case, they wouldn’t have a problem wrestling Dynamite and Davey again? Foley responds that he doesn’t feel that they deserve a rematch, and there are other teams that are more deserving of a title match.
WHALEN says we’re out of time for this week, and talks about next week’s show, which will feature Bobby Duncum and Jim Neidhart against the Masked Superstar and Super Destroyer in a Texas Death match!
