5) ”Superstar” Bill Dundee defeated CWA Heavyweight Champion Dutch Mantell via pinfall at 18:04 in a strap match with the Bomb’s Away knee drop. Tommy Rich prevented The Dirty White Boy from interfering, which allowed Dundee to whip Mantell and score a pin to become the new champion.
6) The First Family: Adrian Adonis, Rick Rude & Jimmy Hart defeated The Mongolian Stomper, Jake “The Snake” Roberts and Jos LeDuc by pinfall at 15:04 when Hart pinned the Stomper. The finish saw a brawl break out and The Mongolian collar Hart. However, Playboy Frazier made a surprise appearance and drilled Stomper from behind with the ring bell. He placed Hart over the Stomper and left the ring as referee Jerry Calhoun turned around to make the three count! Rude and Adonis carried the jubilant Hart on their shoulders around ringside after the match.
7) Southern Heavyweight Champion King Kong Bundy wrestled Jerry “The King” Lawler to a 10:00 time limit draw in a match where Lawler earned $500 for every minute he lasted. The King outsmarted Bundy by constantly dipping in and out of the ring, leading Bundy to give chase and tire himself out. Lawler took the money after the match and handed it to the fans at ringside as an irate King Kong Bundy looked on.
