-We go now to Channel 5 Studios here in Memphis to Lance Russell and Dave Brown-
Lance Russell and Dave Brown welcome us to “Championship Wrestling ‘84”. We see clips of Jerry Lawler ending the undefeated streak of the Russian Korchenko. Lance then announces this Monday night at the Mid South Coliseum, it will be a Lights Out rematch between Lawler and Korchenko. Korchenko makes his way out to the studio now and complains that Lawler and the “corrupt American referee” cheated him out of a victory. Korchenko says nothing will stop him this Monday night from destroying the King of Memphis. Then, the people of this “city of Capitalist pigs” will have a new King that they can be proud of!
Jerry “The King” Lawler makes his way out to the studio at this point and he is smirking. Lawler says he can’t help but laugh as he sees the big dopey Russian with his ridiculous beard out here making proclamations. The King says he beat Korchenko last Monday and he’ll do the same thing this Monday night. However, the only difference this time is that the pile-driver will be perfectly legal! Korchenko then shouts that his chain will be legal as well! Lawler then motions towards the ring and says they can go at it right now, but Korchenko storms off to the dressing room.
MATCH: JAKE “THE SNAKE” ROBERTS vs. TIM TALL TREE
The Snake scores the victory via pinfall at 5:21 on Tim Tall Tree with a DDT… Jake Roberts faces the dynamo here and has a bit of trouble early on. The Snake eventually gains the advantage with a short-arm clothesline. He then drills Tim Tall Tree with the Mr. Wrestling II knee lift and then his patented DDT for the win.
Jake “The Snake” Roberts walks over to desk, where Jerry Lawler had been doing commentary with Lance Russell. Roberts motions to the back and out comes Jos LeDuc, who eyes Lawler as The Snake talks. Jake discusses his and LeDuc’s match with Rick Rude and Adrian Adonis this Monday night. Jake mentions that Rick Rude made Jos LeDuc angry last week, and he won’t like the big Canadian Lumberjack when he’s angry. LeDuc then shouts that everyone says that he is crazy, but he’s not crazy! What he actually is is angry! And he will take out that anger on Rude and Adonis at the Coliseum! Roberts smirks and says it will be a bad night to be a member of the First Family on Monday.

The Rock n’ Roll Express are out with Dave Brown as we come back from the commercial break. Ricky Morton says he and Robert have been waiting quite a while to face the Gilberts for the Southern Titles and it will happen on Monday. Morton mentions that last week was another example of Eddie Gilbert doing anything he could in order to steal a win. However, the Rock n’ Roll Express will be prepare for absolutely anything at the Mid South Coliseum. Robert Gibson adds that although it’s been a long road to the Southern Titles, they will finally take them this Monday night!
THE MOONDOGS vs. KING COBRA & JOHN KING
Moondog Rex scores the victory via pinfall at 4:00 on King Cobra with a back-breaker… The Moondogs are joined by their manager Sir Oliver Humperdink as they brutalized Cobra and King throughout this short match. Cobra and King are left totally beaten and bruised by the end of this contest.
Sir Oliver Humperdink steps out to the desk as his Moondogs roam around the ringside area. Humperdink tells Dave Brown that his Moondogs have torn a path across the CWA territory and Monday night that their victims will be Bill Dundee and Tracy Smothers. Sir Oliver says nothing will make him prouder than seeing his Dogs of War destroy Memphis legend Bill Dundee and send him out of the Mid South Coliseum on a gurney! Sir Oliver then blows his whistle and leads his Moondays away, as Dave Brown and Lance Russell discuss how dangerous these two mangy mutts are.

Jimmy Hart is out with the entire First Family – Southern Champion King Kong Bundy, Southern Tag Team Champions Eddie & Tommy Gilbert, Rick Rude, Adrian Adonis and Playboy Frazier. Lance announces that we will see a marquee match on Monday as Bundy puts his belt on the line against the Mongolian Stomper. Bundy says everybody has their hopes up that since Jerry Lawler couldn’t beat him that the local legend the Stomper can! It won’t happen! Bundy boasts that he is larger than the Stomper and he will not only beat the man, but he will put him down for the five count! Eddie Gilbert then mentions that he heard the Rock n’ Roll Express earlier – and promises that he has a surprise for them on Monday!
Jimmy Hart closes the interview out by promising that Rick Rude and Adrian Adonis will embarrass Jake “The Snake” Roberts and Jos LeDuc again at the Coliseum! Lance announces that Bundy will have to get through his opponent later today – Tojo Yamamoto – before he can think about the Stomper. Hart laughs and says Tojo might have meant something at some point, but those days are long gone! Bundy declares that he will squash Tojo later on.
MATCH: ROBERT FULLER vs. DAVID OSWALD
The Tennessee Stud scores the submission victory at 6:45 with the Fuller Leg Lock… Robert Fuller takes the fight to David Oswald later on and he manages to really work over Oswald’s right left. The Stud applies a variety of holds on the leg and then locks in the Fuller Leg Lock. Oswald has no choice but to submit after a few seconds.
Robert Fuller walks over to the desk and says the action is hotter than ever here in the CWA. He is then interrupted by Sir Oliver Humperdink and his latest charge the Belfast Bruiser. Humperdink says he has heard Fuller out here running his mouth and now he wants him to say it to the face of the Bruiser. Fuller says he doesn’t like Finlay’s tactics and he won’t hesitate to get involved if he thinks the man has crossed the line with his opponents. Fuller and Finlay go nose to nose – but Humperdink pulls the Bruiser away and says that The Tennessee Stud’s day is coming soon.

Rich says Mantell has put him through a lot of pain, agony and blues over the last few months, but he is all fired up and ready for the fight of his life! He is coming for a straight-up fight and he will spill Mantell’s blood in order to become the CWA Heavyweight Champion.
We go back to the studio where Dutch Mantell asks Lance Russell if that was supposed to intimidate him? Dutch says he told all the people awhile ago that Tommy Rich is nothing but a low-down, egg-sucking dog and he proved it by stealing Shoo Baby! Well, Shoo Baby is back with The Dutchman where it belongs and this Monday night, the CWA Heavyweight Title is staying where it belong as well! The Dirty White then butts in by saying he’ll be around to make sure that is the case!

Tojo fight back with eye scratches and chops, but he just couldn’t gain a foothold against the massive champion. Bundy eventually whipped Tojo into the corner and connected with the running splash into the corner to secure a five count.
King Kong Bundy continued to lay into Tojo with boots after the bell, until The Mongolian Stomper ran in and began brawling with Bundy! Bundy and The Stomper drilled away at each other, but it wasn’t long before Rick Rude, Adrian Adonis and Playboy Frazier hit the ring to back up Bundy. Eventually all four members of the First Family are thrown out to the floor and they retreat with “The Mouth of the South” Jimmy Hart.
