STAMPEDE WRESTLING
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 9, 1984
1pm - 2pm
TAPED THE PREVIOUS NIGHT AT THE VICTORIA PAVILION IN CALGARY, ALBERTA
ED WHALEN opens the show at ringside and welcomes us to STAMPEDE WRESTLING!
WHALEN runs down some of the matches we’ll see this week, including the big main event, 6-man tag team match where Bret Hart will team up with Jim Neidhart and Dynamite Kid to face JR Foley’s trio of Bad News Allen, Kerry Brown and Kelly Kiniski!
WHALEN is joined at ringside by BOBBY DUNCUM. Duncum says he heard the comments made last week by Bobby Heenan, the Masked Superstar and the Super Destroyer. He says that he’s not hiding from anybody, and to prove it, he demands that either one of those masked goons come out right now, and they can hook ‘em up right here and now!
A moment later, Bobby Heenan comes down the aisle, followed by the MASKED SUPERSTAR!
As Duncum paces in the ring, Heenan joins Whalen at ringside, and says if Duncum is stupid enough to call out the Masked Superstar, then he deserves what he gets!
With that, the Superstar climbs into the ring and the brawl is on!!!!
Referee Wayne Hart runs down to the ring, and calls for the bell to start the match . . . we’ve got an impromptu match to open the show, between Bobby Duncum and the Masked Superstar!!!
BOBBY DUNCUM V. THE MASKED SUPERSTAR (w/ Bobby Heenan). The two men brawl for several minutes, until Bobby Heenan gets up on the apron and distracts Duncum. This allows Superstar to clobber him from behind.
From there, Heenan and the Superstar tie Duncum’s arms up in the ring ropes! Heenan pulls a roll of tape out of his pocket, and he quickly tapes up Superstar’s fist! With Duncum helpless, the Superstar punches him repeatedly in the head with the taped fist!
Wayne Hart tries to stop it, but Heenan grabs him and throws him out of the ring!
JIM NEIDHART appears and rushes down the aisle, but the SUPER DESTROYER quickly follows him down the aisle, and attacks Neidhart just as he reaches the ring.
While Superstar unleashes several more shots with his taped fist to the head of Duncum, Jim Neidhart gets the upper hand over the Super Destroyer, and slams the masked man’s head into the ringpost.
Neidhart then jumps into the ring and chases the Superstar away with a chair, before releasing Duncum from the ropes.
Bobby is a bloody mess, and he can’t even stand on his own. Neidhart and Wayne Hart each take an arm, and they help the barely-conscious Duncum back to the locker room.

ED WHALEN is in the ring when we return from the commercial break, and he’s joined by North American Champ BRET HART, one-half of the North American Tag Team Champions THE DYNAMITE KID and JIM NEIDHART.
Neidhart talks about what happened to Bobby Duncum before the break, and says that there’s going to be hell to pay for the Superstar and the Super Destroyer!
Bret Hart talks about the main event of today’s show, coming up a little later, where the three of them will face Bad News Allen, Kerry Brown and Kelly Kiniski. He then talks about the bad blood between himself and Bad News Allen, and says that he wants a one on one match with Allen next week, a match that will end this blood feud once and for all . . . a Steel Cage match!
Whalen seems surprised by this, and wonders if Bret might be making a mistake, asking to face the most dangerous man in wrestling in the most dangerous match in wrestling. Bret says that he’s aware of the risk he’s taking, but he can’t have an animal like Bad News Allen running around Stampede Wrestling trying to cripple people, and he feels that this is the only way to rid Stampede of Allen once and for all.
Dynamite Kid talks about the Masters of Disaster, and says that they’ve been running their mouths for weeks now, saying that they’re going to take the North American Tag Team titles from Dynamite and Davey Boy Smith, but Dynamite says that they’re sadly mistaken.
DAVEY BOY SMITH V. GREAT GAMA SINGH, JIP – These two give the fans a fast-paced, exciting match that sees plenty of offence from both men. In the end, Davey Boy gets the win after hitting a missile dropkick from the top rope for the pinfall.

WORLD MID-HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH:
BRUCE HART (Champ) V. “EXOTIC” ADRIAN STREET, JIP – We join the match about 15 minutes in. Adrian Street has Bruce Hart down and out in the corner, and he repeatedly stomps the Champion. As Bruce tries to fight his way back to his feet, Street puts him right back down on the mat. A few minutes later, Bruce is able to make a comeback, and he hits Street with wild haymakers that have the challenger reeling. However, when Bruce whips Street into the corner, and charges at him, Street moves out of the way, and Bruce crashes into the turnbuckles. Street hits Bruce with a dropkick, then bounces off the ropes and as Bruce gets to his feet, Adrian catches him with a diving forearm that puts Hart right back on the mat.
From there, Street goes to the top rope and waits for his prey to get up. As Bruce staggers to his feet, Street connects with a flying bodypress from the top rope for the pinfall.
ADRIAN STREET IS THE NEW WORLD MID-HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!!!!

Back from the break, ED WHALEN is in the ring with New World Mid-Heavyweight Champion ADRIAN STREET. Street gloats about his win, and says that this belt will look far better around his waist than it ever did around Hart’s waist. Street gloats some more, before leaving the ring.
BRET HART & DYNAMITE KID & JIM NEIDHART V. BAD NEWS ALLEN & KERRY BROWN & KELLY KINISKI (w/ JR Foley), JIP – We only see the final few minutes of this match, which has broken down into a complete brawl. Bad News and Bret Hart have paired off off in one corner of the ring, Dynamite and Kelly Kiniski in another, and Brown and Neidhart take turns pummeling each other on the arena floor.
The end comes when Allen drops Dynamite with a Brainbuster, but as he turns around, Bret comes off the top rope with a bodypress. As he connects, Allen trips over Dynamite, who’s laying behind him, and Allen falls backwards to the mat, with Bret landing on top for the pinfall!
Bret Hart has pinned Bad News Allen!
WHALEN wraps up this week’s show, and hypes next week’s show, which will feature Bret Hart and Bad News Allen in a STEEL CAGE!!!
