Joey Styles welcomes us to a special edition of XWF here on MTV and reminds us that we will airing regularly on Friday nights starting next week
Paul Heyman makes his way out to the ring. He explains to everyone that after some time away he is back and better than ever with his new promotion Xtreme Wrestling Federation. He says things have been stale and its time to shake things up a bit. He’s got a brand new concept that’s never been seen before and he’s here to present it to the world. He then goes over to the announcers table and grabs the XWF title and brings it into the ring. The XWF Championship is meant to push the boundaries of professional wrestling and prove who’s really the best of all time.
Anyone that want’s a shot at the XWF title can come out and call out the champ at the beginning of the show each week in whats called the challenge period. That person will then get a title match with the current champ in the main event of that weeks show. If more than one superstar comes out during the challenge period those superstars will have a match right then and there with the winner of that match moving on to face the champ that night. In order to ensure fairness to every superstar, if you lose to the champion after winning a challenge match you will not be able to make a challenge for one month from that date.
Now I’m assuming that everyone in the back right now is dying to run out and make the first challenge and claim the title, so to keep some order around here I have made the decision to hold a 20 man Battle Royale to declare the first XWF champion. We will have 5 Beat the clock qualifying matches to give one superstar the advantage of coming out as entry number 20. Heyman exits the ring and joins Joey Styles on commentary to watch the action as it unfolds.
