Mike Tenay and Bobby Heenan open the show.
Tenay, “Brain, we are back for another edition of ‘Empire State Wrestling’!”
Heenan, “I got hundreds of calls about our first show. The only complaint was that Hulk Hogan won his match.”
Tenay, “From your friends that doesn’t surprise me. We have another big show for you this week. We will have the new tag team Champions in action, we will have the TV Title tournament and a big six man tag team match. Let’s get things started with the first semi-final in the tournament to crown a TV Champion. Johnny Ace, from San Bernardino, CA, will take on the masked man from Washington, D.C., the Patriot.”
Match #1
Empire State Television Tournament Semi-Final
The Patriot vs. Johnny Ace
Two big me hook up in this one. Ace overpowers the masked man and backs him in the corner. He slams forearm blows into his opponent and the Patriot is in trouble. The masked man fires backs and fights his way out of the corner. The match is very close, but the Patriot wins with the Patriot Missile.

Empire State Television Tournament Semi-Final
Bobby Duncum Jr. vs. Wolf Hawkfield
The second generation Texan takes on the man from Snow Mountain, Canada. This is a physical, fast paced match. Both men have their chances. Duncum goes for a bulldog, but Hawkfield blocks it and shoots the Cowboy into the ropes. Wolf lands the Cyber Spear and covers Duncum. Referee Charles Robinson counts the fall.
Winner-Wolf Hawkfield
Mike Tenay and Bobby Heenan are in the announce position.
Tenay, “Brain, we have our TV Title final match, Wolf Hawkfield meets the Patriot.”
Heenan, “You’ve got a guy with the flag wrapped around his head and another guy with red paint all over his face. It looks like a match Barnum and Bailey would schedule.”
Tenay, “Maybe so, but they are two great wrestlers, just like the man in our next match. ‘Hacksaw’ Jim Duggan has been a top star for a long time, and now he is in ESW.”
Heenan, “Old cockeyed Duggan the only man that can look six directions at once.”
Tenay, “You’re impossible. Jim Duggan is up next.”
Match #3
The Rochester Roadblock vs. “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan
The big Roadblock is a challenge for the local veteran. Duggan is in trouble early. The Roadblock traps him in the corner and uses his weight to punish Duggan. “Hacksaw” fights back and the Poughkeepsie crowd rallies behind him. Duggan hits the spear and referee Jack Doane counts the fall.
Winner-”Hacksaw” Jim Duggan

Non-Title Match
The Bruise Brothers (ESW Tag Team Champions) vs. “Gentleman” Chris Adams and Iceman King Parsons
The big Bruise Brothers won the titles last week and tonight meet two talented veterans. Adams and Parsons wowed the fans in Texas and will be a stiff test for the new Champions. The bell ring and it’s Ron Harris vs. Chris Adams. Adams out wrestles Harris early and big Ron gets frustrated. He starts to roughhouse and Adams is in trouble. Don tags in and continues the assault. Adams tags in the Iceman and Parsons has his moments, but Don uses the chokeslam for the win.
Winners-The Bruise Brothers
Roddy Piper joins Tenay and Heenan. Piper holds the Television Title.
Tenay, “With us is commissioner Piper. Mr. Piper, we have two very talented men wrestling for that title.”
Piper, “We sure do. We’ve got the Patriot, Mr. USA himself, and this Hawkfield, who’s a big Indian from Canada. They are both great fighters. They're the kind of guys who used to beat old Boobs’ men back in the old days.”
Heenan, “Listen Piper, I had Orndorff destroy you in every city in the country! I just might do it again.”
piper, “So angry, Boobs, calm down. Let’s forget the old days, I know you’d like to.”
Tenay, “O.K. you two, let’s go to the ring for our TV Title match.”

Empire State Television Championship
The Patriot vs. Wolf Hawkfield
The match begins slowly. Neither man wants to make a mistake. The Patriot gets the first break when Hawkfield misses a clothesline and the masked man nails him with a dropkick. he goes for the cover, but Hawkfield kicks out before referee Charles Robinson can count three. Wolf whips the Patriot into the ropes and clamps on the sleeper. The Patriot is in trouble, but he gets to the ropes. The match continues to build in intensity. Finally, Hawkfield whips the Patriot into the ropes and hits the Cyber Spear. The Patriot goes down and Wolf covers him. Robinson counts 1...2...3! Wolf Hawkfield is the first Empire State Television Champion! Commissioner Piper comes into the ring and presents the title to Hawkfield. The Patriot shakes his hand and the two men embrace.
Winner-Wolf Hawkfield (New Empire State Television Champion)
Tenay and Heenan and with Roddy Piper.
Tenay, “Commissioner Piper, what a match! The ESW Television Title is in good hands.”
Piper, “That Hawkfield is one tough Redskin, and the Patriot is not going to take this lying down. You know he’s going to be out for bear!”
Tenay, “O.K. Mr. Piper, you promised us information about, the ‘Big One’, the Empire State Championship. Time is running out.”
Piper, “I haven’t let you down yet, and I’m not going to now. On Thanksgiving night, November 28, ESW presents ‘The Thanksgiving Super Show’. We’re going to be at the new Marine Midland Arena in Buffalo, where the Sabres play. That night, Sid Vicious is going to fight Hulk Hogan and the winner is going to be the Champion!”
Piper, “Wow, that is big news, I know there will be other top matches added to the show, as well.”
Heenan, “I know how to beat Hogan. If Sid would grease my palm, I mean give me a call. I’ll help him.”
Tenay, “Maybe he’ll do that. It’s now time for the big six man tag team match. Now that we know that Hogan and Sid will wrestle for the title in a few weeks, it makes this match even bigger.”
Piper, “I’m going to the back so I can watch on the monitor. I want to hear what Boobs says when Hogan wins.”
Match #6
Six Man Tag Team Match
Sid Vicious, King Kong Bundy and Mr. Hughes vs. Hulk Hogan, The Giant and Tatanka
Sid, Bundy and Hughes wait in the ring. We hear,
Hogan, the Giant and Tatanka come to the ring and the crowd goes crazy. Hogan takes the mic.
Hogan, “Sid, on Thanksgiving night, ‘Hulkamania is going to run over you! The ‘Hulkamaniacs’ are behind me and you’re in the way, brother!”
Hogan tosses the mic to Sid.
Sid, “You might not get to Buffalo!”
Sid tosses the mic away and attacks Hogan. The match is on! These six big men slug it out like behemoths. Hogan and Sid target one another, but so do Bundy and the Giant. The youngster holds his own against the “Walking Condominium”. Tatanka, who is the smallest man in the match, uses his quickness to work over Mr. Hughes. The intensity of the match increase. All six men end up in the ring and referee Jack Doane has a problem. He tries to get Tatanka and the Giant out of the ring. As this happens, Bundy slides a chair into the ring. Sid Chokeslams Hogan on the chair and covers him. Doane turns and counts the fall. Sid Vicious pins Hulk Hogan, albeit it with the help a chair and King Kong Bundy. The crowd is stunned and Hogan is hurt.
Winners-Sid Vicious, King Kong Bundy and Mr. Hughes
Tenay and Heenan close the show. Heenan is laughing uncontrollably.
Tenay, “Brain, I don’t think that’s necessary.”
Heenan, “Yes it is, that big dummy got pinned and it looks like Sid broke his back. Hogan will never get to Buffalo!”
Tenay, “i don’t know about that. You can’t count Hulk Hogan out. Let’s talk about next week. We will see the Rock and Roll Express in action and we have another exciting main event In a continuation of tonight’s match, the Giant will take on King Kong Bundy and I am sure we will hear from Sid and the Hulkster.”
Heenan, “Hogan’s going to be talking from a hospital bed.”
Tenay, “Don’t count on it Brain. Join us next week.”
