-We go now to Channel 5 Studios here in Memphis to Lance Russell and Dave Brown-
Lance Russell and Dave Brown welcome us to “Championship Wrestling ‘84”. We see clips straight away from the Mid South Coliseum, where Dutch Mantell initially got his bullwhip Shoo Baby back, only to have Tommy Rich take it again later in the night. Dutch Mantell and the Dirty White Boy made their way over to the desk. Mantell says he has been in Eddie Marlin’s office every day this week to demand a rematch with CWA Champion Bill Dundee. The Dutchman says that he was cheated by the no-good Tommy Rich, and thankfully Eddie has seen sense and booked the match for this Monday. Mantell says Rich won’t be a thorn in his side this time because he’s heard that Tracy Smothers and Tommy have a No DQ No Count Out match with Sir Oliver Humperdink’s Moondogs. Dutch hopes that the Moondogs destroy them both and then he will do the same thing to Bill Dundee later in the night!
MATCH: DUTCH MANTELL w/ The Dirty White Boy vs. JOHN KING
Mantell wins via pinfall at 5:03 with the Hangman’s Neckbreaker… The Dirty White Boy jawed with fans at ringside as Mantell took care of young John King in the ring. King went for a clothesline late in the match, but The Dirty Dutchman ducked out of the way. He then grabbed King and planted him with the neckbreaker in order to score the pin.
Jerry “The King” Lawler was out next after the match to discuss his count-out win over Southern Champion King Kong Bundy on Monday. Lawler tells Dave Brown that it was a moral victory, but the belt is still around the big, fat waist of Bundy. That is going to change! However, this week it will be Bundy, Rick Rude and new First Family member Adrian Adonis up against The King, Jake “The Snake” Roberts and a partner of their choice. Dave asks Lawler if there is any truth to the rumours that he is having trouble finding someone who will agree to team with The Snake. Lawler says it is in fact true – Jimmy Valiant and Austin Idol both turned down his request because they don’t trust Jake Roberts. Lawler says he understands where they are coming from, but he will find a partner and this Monday night they will clean house on the First Family!

The Rock n’ Roll Express are out after we come back from break to discuss their upcoming title match with the Gilberts. Ricky Morton tells Lance Russell that he and Robert having been waiting to get Eddie and Tommy Gilbert back in the ring for weeks, because they know the Gilberts don’t deserve to be Southern Tag Team Champions! Jerry “The King” Lawler makes his way out and says firstly that he is happy to see that Morton and Gibson are getting their title rematch. The King knows they will win and asks if afterwards, one of them will team with him and The Snake in the main event. Morton and Gibson look uneasy as they confer. Ricky then tells Lawler that Austin Idol and Jimmy Valiant turned The King down for a good reason – The Snake cannot be trusted!
Ricky Morton tells The King that he and Robert Gibson will be glad to team with him – as long as Jerry drops The Snake as his partner. Morton knows that The Rock n’ Roll Express and The King can get the job done! Lawler thanks Morton for the offer, but says Jake Roberts has come into help him and so far he has done just that! So Lawler will not ask Jake to step back from the match. The King understands where Morton and Gibson are coming from and he respects their answer. Lawler shakes their hands and walks away as Morton tells Lance Russell that his daddy Paul taught him long ago to never, ever trust a Snake!
MATCH: THE MOONDOGS w/ Sir Oliver Humperdink vs. TIM TALL TREE & LUTHER KINGSTON
Moondog Rex defeated Tim Tall Tree via pinfall at 4:35 with a back-breaker… Sir Oliver Humperdink’s Moondogs make their first appearance in the Channel 5 Studio as they absolutely maul Tim Tall Tree and Luther Kingston. Humperdink barks commands as his Moondogs bite, scratch and tear their way to a fairly easy victory over two game competitors.
Sir Oliver Humperdink leads the Moondogs over to the desk. The Moondogs roam around and intimidate the fans as Humperdink tells Lance and Dave that Tommy Rich and Tracy Smothers were lucky to walk away last week at the Mid South Coliseum, but that will not happen again this week! Humperdink says he views Rich and Smothers as just a few bones to chew for the Moondogs, until they become the Southern Tag Team Champions. Humperdink also reveals that the most dangerous man in wrestling – The Belfast Bruiser – will also make his in-ring debut at the Mid South Coliseum this week against Tom Zenk!

COMMERCIAL BREAK:
------------
------------
“The Tennessee Stud” Robert Fuller is out with CWA Heavyweight Champion “Superstar” Bill Dundee as we come back from commercial break. Fuller talks about hisrecent match with Dundee and says he knows that the Superstar will give him another crack at the belt soon. The interview is interrupted by Jerry “The King” Lawler, who says he knows Robert Fuller heard what has been going on with the six-man match. The King wants to know if Robert Fuller will team him this Monday night. Fuller looks conflicted, but says all the others are right – The Snake cannot be trusted! Fuller then says just the Rock n’ Roll Express said, if Lawler will drop Roberts as a partner, he can guarantee that himself and the Superstar will step in and team with him!
Jerry Lawler again looks disappointed and says he said it earlier, Jake Roberts will not be replaced as his partner. And quite honestly, The King wouldn’t want to team with Bill Dundee anyway because he doesn’t trust the Superstar at all! Dundee laughs at that and says that is fine, but he warns Lawler again that he is making a huge mistake trusting The Snake. However, that is The King’s mistake to make now! Lawler tells Dundee he’s not interested in his opinion and then nods in respect to Robert Fuller, before walking off. A concerned Robert Fuller tells Dave Brown that he doesn’t think there’s anyway that this can turn out well for The King!
MATCH: ROBERT FULLER vs. JOSH STROUD
The Tennessee Stud scores the submission on Stroud via submission at 8:45 with the Fuller Leg Lock... Former USFL star Stroud makes a strong accounting of himself here as he tangles with a wily veteran. Stroud uses his power to score a few near falls, but Fuller counters and focuses on his right leg. Robert eventually locks in the Fuller Leg Lock and there is nothing for Josh Stroud to do but submit.
Jimmy Hart leads the First Family en mass out – it’s Southern Champion King Kong Bundy, Rick Rude, Southern Tag Team Champions The Gilberts, Playboy Frazier and the newest member Adrian Adonis. Hart laughs at the plight of Jerry “The King” Lawler and says he will never find anyone dumb enough to team with Jake “The Snake” Roberts! Jimmy says his First Family might not even have to break a sweat this Monday because Jake Roberts might take care of The King on the way to the ring. Dave Brown reiterates that thus far that Jake Roberts has done nothing yet in the CWA to prove that he is untrustworthy! Hart cackles and says the key word there was “yet” – sooner or later, The King will get bit by the Snake! Unless King Kong Bundy finishes him off first! Adrian Adonis then takes a moment to introduce himself as a true street fighter and says he looks forward to spilling The King’s blood this Monday night!

The big Russian promises that this Monday night will be Tojo’s final appearance in a professional wrestling ring. TV MAIN EVENT: KING KONG BUNDY, RICK RUDE, ADRIAN ADONIS & SOUTHERN TAG CHAMPS THE GILBERTS w/ Jimmy Hart & Playboy Frazier vs. THE NEW GENERATION, RUFUS R. JONES, NORVELL AUSTIL & KEN RAPER
Adrian Adonis defeated Rufus R. Jones by submission at 9:14 with the Goodnight Irene sleeper hold... The members of the First Family are tested here as they face off with five very tough competitors. Well, four tough competitors and perennial jobber Ken Raper. Rufus R. Jones gets the fans going with headbutts on Eddie Gilbert, Tommy Gilbert, Rick Rude and even King Kong Bundy. Adrian Adonis knees him in the back from behind and looks in the sleeper to eventually score the win.
Jerry “The King” Lawler is back out to talk with Lance Russell about not being able to find a partner to team with himself and Jake “The Snake” Roberts. Lawler says he understands the reasons and he is willing to take on the responsibility that comes with teaming with someone of Jake’s reputation. The Snake then makes his way out into the studio and he smirks as he says that Lawler’s buddies sure seem like fair-weather friends. Roberts says he expected something like this to happen, which is why he secured a partner earlier in the week. Lawler seems surprised by that statement.
Jake “The Snake” Roberts tells The King that he already went on an act of faith by calling him in to help with this First Family problem. Jake thinks he’s proved himself, and so he wants The King to trust him again with his choice of a partner. Lawler asks just who The Snake has lined up. Roberts says he doesn’t have to tell The King – he can show him! Roberts then asks that a VTR be played of a man that the fans of CWA know very well:

IT’S “CRAZY” JOS LEDUC!!!!!!!!!!!
We go back to the studio where Lance Russell and Dave Brown are up in arms about Jake Roberts calling in “Crazy” Jos LeDuc! Lawler looks uneasy as well and reminds Jake that it was LeDuc who famously broke his leg and took him out of the sport for months! The Snake says he knows all about it. He also knows that Monday night will be a dirty job, and LeDuc is the man you call in to do a dirty job! The fans are urging Lawler not to agree to this, but The King thinks for a minute and reminds Lance and Dave that they were urging him to team with Bill Dundee, who has also tried to run him out of CWA before!
Jake says now Lawler is thinking sensibility and adds all he has do is trust The Snake! Lawler finally nods his head and then changes his demeanor and vows to knock the hell out of LeDuc if the big Canadian even looks at him the wrong way. Lawler and Roberts walk off as Lance Russell and Dave Brown reiterate that they think this a bad idea.
