CHRIS CRUISE opens the show in the studio, and welcomes his co-host, LEE MARSHALL. Cruise is dressed up as a doctor, and Marshall is dressed up as Dracula.
CRUISE and MARSHALL welcome us to the Centrum in Worcester, Massachussetts for a special Halloween edition of NWA Total Non-Stop Action!
This week, Public Enemy will face two masked wrestlers known only as the Halloween Demons . . . NWA Tag Team Champs the Heavenly Bodies were scheduled to defend the titles against the Cowboys, but with the injury to Rick Casey last week, the status of that match is unclear at this point . . . Steve “Dr. Death” Williams challenges Jeff Jarrett for the NWA World title in a Best 2 out of 3 Falls match . . . and in the main event, the Ultimate Warrior, American Ace and Earthquake meet Mortis, Unabomb and King Kong Bundy in the Chamber of Horrors match!
VTR – LAST WEEK ON NWA-TNA:
. . . Late in the match, Casey goes to the top rope and waits for Del Ray to get to his feet. Before Jimmy gets up, Tom Prichard jumps up on the apron, grabs Casey by the trunks and pulls him off the turnbuckle, sending the cowboy crashing to the floor!
Referee John Finnegan sees this, and calls for the bell, awarding the match to Casey by DQ.
With Casey on the floor, Prichard puts the boots to him, then scoops him up, and drives Casey shoulder-first into the ringpost. As Prichard goes to ram Casey’s shoulder into the ringpost again, Lance Cassidy puts a stop to it, and starts brawling with Prichard. What Cassidy doesn’t see, though, is Jimmy Del Ray leave the ring, then drag Casey over to the guardrail, and repeatedly wrench Casey’s arm over the guardrail. Del Ray then picks him up and delivers a shoulderbreaker!
Several wrestlers arrive on the scene, and they stop Del Ray from doing any more damage to Rick Casey. Medical personnel come out and Casey is helped to the back.
STAN LANE interviews LANCE CASSIDY in the backstage area. Lane talks about the injury to Rick Casey last week, and says that the NWA has allowed Cassidy to pick a new partner for the tag team title match tonight.
CASSIDY says that the Heavenly Bodies are smart, they knew the Cowboys had their number, so they made sure the match wouldn’t happen, but he went out and found himself a replacement partner, someone he’s known since they were kids growing up, and the only other man he can think of, besides Rick Casey, who could help him beat the Heavenly Bodies for the tag team titles . . . his cousin, FREDDIE JOE FLOYD!
FLOYD walks in and shakes hands with Cassidy and Stan Lane. He thanks Cassidy for bringing him in, and says that they’re ready for Prichard and Del Ray tonight, and they will leave the ring as the new NWA World tag team Champions!

MATCH #1:
PUBLIC ENEMY defeat THE HALLOWEEN DEMONS. Public Enemy makes short work of their masked opponents, winning the match in about 4 minutes. Rocco Rock gets the pinfall after hitting a diving somersault splash from the top rope.
After the match, Rock and Grunge put one of the Demons through a ringside table with another somersault splash from Rocco.
A video airs, highlighting recent events involving Chris Candido, Jeff Jarrett and Jacques Rougeau. We see Jarrett and Candido taunting Ray Rougeau during an interview. Footage is then shown of Jarrett and Candido dumping trash all over a statue of Jacques’ uncle Johnny Rougeau. The video ends with clips from last week’s TV title match between Candido and Rougeau, which went to a draw when TV time ran out.
VS.
MATCH #2
NWA WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP:
CHRIS CANDIDO (Champ) (w/ Capt. Lou Albano) beats JACQUES ROUGEAU. There is plenty of bad blood here, and it shows, as Rougeau tears into Candido with a viciousness that we haven’t seen from him since arriving in the NWA. Rougeau batters the Champion from pillar to post, both inside and outside the ring. Late in the match, Candido makes a comeback, but it’s short-lived, as Rougeau seems to have the Champion’s number tonight.
Rougeau whips Candido into the corner, then stands on the second turnbuckle and repeatedly punches Candido in the head, as the fans count along. Candido, however, turns the tables, pushing Rougeau off the turnbuckles. Candido then quickly rolls Rougeau up, and puts both feet on the middle rope for leverage. Rougeau can’t kick out and Chris Candido gets the 1, 2, 3 and steals a victory from Jacques Rougeau!
Candido and Albano hightail it from the ring as Rougeau kicks the ropes in frustration.
STAN LANE interviews NWA World Tag Team Champions THE HEAVENLY BODIES backstage. The Bodies have a good laugh over what they did to Cowboy Rick Casey last week. Prichard says that Cassidy goes out and gets some nobody to replace Casey, and he honestly thinks they stand a chance? Del Ray says that Cassidy and this Billy Joe Bob or whatever his name is, will soon be sharing a hospital room with Rick Casey!
We see a vignette, showing LORD NORMAN SMILEY and THE MAESTRO in a lavishly-decorated room. Smiley is drinking a cup of tea while the Maestro sits a nearby piano. JEEVES is in the background, waiting for his next order from Smiley.
SMILEY says that he’s noticed the NWA fans booing him and Maestro, and says that they’re not sophisticated like him and Maestro, they’re not cultured enough to realize the obvious greatness that is Norman Smiley and the Maestro. He compares the NWA fans to the lowly peasants that would work for his family.
MAESTRO agrees, and says that the other wrestlers in the NWA all come out to rock music, and it makes him sick, that’s not music. Mozart’s Concerto No. 24, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, now THAT’S music, but the NWA fans aren’t smart enough to understand that.
SMILEY agrees as he sips his tea as the video ends.

MATCH #3
NWA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP:
THE HEAVENLY BODIES (Champs) defeat COWBOY LANCE CASSIDY & FREDDIE JOE FLOYD. Cassidy and Floyd give the Champions all they can handle, but in the end, the Bodies get the win at the 8-minute mark when Prichard hits Cassidy with a Superkick, then Del Ray dives off the top rope with a splash for the pinfall.
“DR. DEATH” STEVE WILLIAMS comes to the ring and says that last week, he promised everyone that he would have a big surprise for Jeff Jarrett this week. Williams says that he’s a man of his word, then “Desperado” by the Eagles begins to play.
Former World’s Champion TERRY FUNK makes his way to the ring!
FUNK and WILLIAMS shake hands, and Funk takes the mic. He says that Jarrett thought he finished the Funker off for good, but Jarrett didn’t get the job done, and here he is, back in the NWA! Funk says that he’ll be in Dr. Death’s corner tonight, and if Jarrett, Candido or Albano try anything, they’re going to be sorry!
VS.
MATCH #4
NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
BEST 2 OUT OF 3 FALLS:
JEFF JARRETT (Champ) (w/ Capt. Lou Albano) VS. “DR. DEATH” STEVE WILLIAMS (w/ Terry Funk).
FALL #1: Steve Williams gains the upper hand, winning the first fall after connecting with the Oklahoma Stampede at 8:47.
FALL #2: Jarrett bounces back in the second fall, and drops Williams on his head with a Piledriver, looking right at Funk as he does it, for the pinfall at 14:30.
FALL #3: Williams gets the upper hand, but Chris Candido makes his way out to ringside. This gets Terry Funk’s attention, and he starts brawling with Candido! Unfortunately, this distracts both Steve Williams and the referee. Capt. Lou Albano takes this opportunity to toss Jarrett’s guitar to him. Just as Williams turns his attention back to Jarrett, the World Champ took the guitar and smashes it over Williams head, knocking him senseless. Jarrett covers Williams as the referee turns his attention back to the match, and gets the 1, 2, 3 to successfully retain the NWA title.
After sending Candido into the ringpost outside the ring, Terry Funk jumps into the ring and brawls with Jarrett until several referees, other wrestlers and security personnel break it up.
A video is shown, highlighting the recent events between the Ultimate Warrior and Harvey Whippleman’s group. We see Warrior beat Unabomb to win the vacant North American title, with Unabomb and Mortis attacking the Warrior after the match. The video cuts to footage of Warrior wrestling both Mortis and Unabomb in a handicap match after his scheduled partner, the Acadian Giant, was injured in the dressing room. American Ace comes out late in the match to help the Warrior. From there, we see Vader debut and confront the Warrior. The video ends with a clip of Unabomb abducting “Made in the USA” Madusa Miceli during American Ace’s match against Chris Candido.
CRUISE and MARSHALL talk about the main event. Cruise says that it’s time for the CHAMBER OF HORRORS!
VS.
MATCH #5
CHAMBER OF HORRORS MATCH:
AMERICAN ACE & ULTIMATE WARRIOR & EARTHQUAKE VS. MORTIS & UNABOMB & KING KONG BUNDY (w/ Harvey Whippleman)
When Whippleman and his men come out, they’ve got Madusa with them. Her hands are cuffed together in front of her, and when they reach the ring, Whippleman unlocks one of the cuffs, while Bundy holds Madusa, and cuffs her to the cage.
Once all six men are in the ring, the door is locked and the match begins! There is no tagging in and out, all six men brawl in the ring at the same time. The cage is like the one used in the original Chamber of Horrors match in ’91, it sits on the floor, so there is some room around the ring for the wrestlers to brawl as well.
By the time that the Chair of Torture is lowered into the cage at the 10-minute mark, Warrior, Unabomb and Earthquake have all been busted open.
Once the chair comes down, the focus becomes trying to get someone into it and throw the lever on the cage. For the next 5 or 6 minutes, every time someone tries to put one of their opponents into the chair, they’re able to get free before anyone can throw the lever. The Warrior runs the ropes, going around the chair in the middle of the ring, and then hits his flying shoulderblock on Unabomb, who happens to be standing only a few feet in front of the chair. Unabomb stumbles backwards, right into the chair. American Ace happens to be right by the lever, so he climbs the cage and throws the lever!
The lights flicker, and sparks fly from the chair! The bell sounds, and Warrior, Ace and Earthquake are declared the winners!
Mortis tries to attack the Warrior from behind, but Earthquake cuts him off and batters him with a chair, while American Ace dropkicks Bundy out of the ring.
American Ace leaves the cage, and chases Harvey Whippleman around the outside of the Cage. He catches up with Whippleman, and after repeatedly slamming Harvey’s head into the cage, Ace grabs the keys to Madusa’s handcuffs! He unlocks Madusa, and she immediately goes after Whippleman, kicking him in the head, knocking him senseless!
The cage is lifted and the winning team make their way down the ramp, while Mortis checks on Unabomb while Bundy helps Harvey to his feet.
Back in the studio, CRUISE and MARSHALL talk about the match we just saw. Cruise says that Warrior got a measure of revenge against Mortis and Unabomb for everything they’ve put him through recently, and American Ace was able to rescue Madusa Miceli!
They wrap up the show and hype next week’s show.
