MONDAY, JULY 4, 1994 LIVE FROM FREEMAN COLISEUM IN SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS
AIRING FROM 8pm - 9pm EST ON THE USA NETWORKBefore the opening airs, we see footage from last week’s main event between Hulk Hogan and Big Van Vader.GORILLA MONSOON and BOBBY HEENAN welcome us to San Antonio, Texas for another edition of MONDAY NIGHT RAW!!!BOBBY and GORILLA talk a little bit about how they celebrated the fourth of July. MONSOON says that the best way to celebrate is to sit back and enjoy Monday Night RAW! GORILLA talks about tonight’s show, including the main event, where John Hawk will square off with Crush! BOBBY says that the All-American Jerk, Lex Luger, will be Roddy Piper’s guest on Piper’s Pit. GORILLA tells Bobby that he’s going to tell Luger what Heenan called him. HEENAN responds that he doesn’t care, and says that’s typical of Monsoon, always sticking his nose where it doesn’t belong. The two bicker a little more as we go to the ring. HOWARD FINKEL is in the ring, and introduces the competitors for the first match. JOHN HAWK (w/ Bob Orton, Jr) v. CRUSH – The big man from Kona gives Hawk a run for his money. Gorilla comments that Hawk has sent a lot of people to the hospital over the past month or so, but doubts he’ll be able to do that to Crush. Hawk puts his arms up, challenging Crush to a test of strength, which proves to be a bad idea. Crush gains the upper hand, and Hawk resorts to kicking him in the gut. Hawk puts the boots to Crush, but Crush quickly fights his way back to his feet. He goes after Hawk, who bails out of the ring, for a conference with Orton on the floor. Crush comes out after him, and chases Hawk around the ring a few times, before Hawk slides back into the ring. As Crush climbs back in, he’s met with a stiff kick to the temple from Hawk. From there, Big John goes to work on Crush, pounding him into the mat. Crush does manage to fight back, but it’s short-lived, as Hawk always relies on underhanded tactics, such as a rake of the eyes, to stop the big Hawaiian in his tracks. Late in the match, Crush does finally turn the tables, and takes the fight to Hawk. He’s got Big John reeling, and after dropping Hawk with a clothesline, Crush goes to lock on the Kona Crush. As Crush grabs ahold of Hawk’s head, while both men are still standing, Hawk swings his leg backwards, delivering a low blow that causes Crush to release the hold. Hawk then runs the ropes, and nails Crush with a vicious Lariat! Hawk covers his opponent, and picks up a hard-fought victory. . . . . . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . . . . . Back from the break, MONSOON and HEENAN are joined by WWF World Tag Team Champions THE QUEBECERS. JACQUES runs down America, and Texas particularly. He says that the fourth of July is just another day to the Quebecers. PIERRE says that there is a day in July that IS worth celebrating, it was on July 1st . . . CANADA DAY! MONSOON says that comments like those aren’t going to go over very well, especially not in the great state of Texas, where they take their freedom very seriously. JACQUES just laughs and says that if any of these Texas rednecks want to make something of it, they’re more than welcome. THE WINDHAM BROTHERS MUSIC HITS!!! BARRY AND KENDALL SHOW UP AT THE BROADCAST TABLE!! BARRY and KENDALL, natives of West Texas, are not happy about the comments made by the Quebecers. The two teams argue back and forth for a moment . . . until Pierre tries to sucker punch Kendall! A brawl breaks out, and Gorilla and Bobby wisely get out of Dodge. Within moments, it looks like a tornado has hit the broadcast table. Barry repeatedly slams Jacques’ head into the table, and eventually they flip it over. The brawl eventually moves into the ring, where the Windham Brothers get the upper hand. Jacques and Pierre decide to take a powder. In the ring, Barry yells at the Quebecers that they’ll see them August 7 at SummerSlam, and motions that the belts will be leaving with him and Kendall! HOWARD FINKEL introduces the competitors for the next match. HULK HOGAN & THE BIG BOSSMAN v. THE MASKED ASSASSINS – Hogan and the Bossman make short work of their opponents. In the end, Bossman flattens one of the Assassins with the Bossman Slam, and then tags Hogan, who drops the Legdrop on the masked man for the pinfall. . . . . . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . . . . . Back from the break, GORILLA and BOBBY talk about Shawn Michaels and Steve Austin. We cut to a video package of Michaels and the Intercontinental Champ. We see them exiting a private jet, and then cut to the two men in $15,000 suits, at a swanky restaurant. Austin seems slightly uncomfortable in the suit. From there, we go to the two men leaving a casino, again dressed to the nines, with a woman on each arm.GORILLA again wonders who this mysterious benefactor is. HEENAN says that he had his sources look into it. He says that he knows who it is, but he’s not about to tell Monsoon. GORILLA wonders if it’s Heenan. BOBBY neither confirms nor denies it. All he says is that he knows who it is, and says that Monsoon and the rest of the wrestling World will find out soon enough. GORILLA sends us to Sean Mooney. SEAN MOONEY is in the WWF Event Center for the SUMMERSLAM REPORT! MOONEY says that SummerSlam is the biggest event of the summer, and it will take place on Sunday night, August 7, from the United Center in Chicago, and you can only see it on Pay-Per-View! Some big matches have already been signed . . . WWF Champ Lex Luger will defend the title against Intercontinental Champ “Stunning” Steve Austin! Only Luger’s belt will be on the line for that one.

Roddy Piper has challenged Bob Orton, Jr. to a Chicago Streetfight at SummerSlam! Piper is looking for payback after Orton cost him the Texas Bullrope match at In Your House.

WWF Tag Team Champions The Quebecers will put the belts on the line against the Windham Brothers, Barry and Kendall!
Plus, plenty more matches to be signed featuring all the top stars of the World Wrestling Federation!MOONEY says that we have comments from Mr. Perfect, regarding the upcoming Cage match with Shawn Michaels at SummerSlam. MR. PERFECT is standing in the dressing room.
PERFECT says that Michaels has been a thorn in his side for too long, but that’s all going to end on August 7. He says that Michaels had better make sure he’s got his bags packed, because after SummerSlam, he’s outta here!We then go to comments from the Heartbreak Kid. MICHAELS and MADUSA are standing in front of a WWF banner.
HBK says that Perfect just can’t stand the fact that Michaels is a better wrestler, a better all-around athlete, and better looking! He says that Perfect’s been jealous of him since the day Michaels arrived in the World Wrestling Federation, and that’s why he wants so desperately to get rid of him. Michaels says that Perfect’s plan is going to backfire, and it won’t be the Heartbreak Kid who has to leave! He says that he’s going to whip Perfect in that Cage, and Madusa will be out there with him, to make sure everything goes according to plan!MOONEY says that SummerSlam is going to be the hottest event of the summer, so call your local cable provider now! . . . . . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . . . . . HOWARD FINKEL introduces the competitors for the next match. “THE HEARTBREAK KID” SHAWN MICHAELS (w/ Madusa) v. BARRY HOROWITZ – Michaels wins easily, hitting Horowitz with a superkick, then dropping him on his head with a Piledriver, leading to the pinfall. After the match, Bobby and Gorilla send us to the set of PIPER’S PIT. HOT ROD introduces his guest this week, the reigning WWF World Heavyweight Champion LEX LUGER! LUGER talks about how it was one year ago today, when he slammed Yokozuna onboard the USS Intrepid, and that kickstarted this wild ride that he’s been on for the past year. He talks about travelling across America in the Lex Express, and what an experience that was. He says that he got to meet so many great people and says that it really re-established his belief that this is the greatest country on earth. LEX says that there’s been ups and downs. He talks about beating Yoko by count-out at SummerSlam last year, but failing to win the title, and how he wasn’t sure if he’d ever get another shot at the belt. Then he came back and won this year’s Royal Rumble, and went on to defeat Yokozuna at WrestleMania 10. He says that he couldn’t have done it without the support of all of these great fans. PIPER talks about this year’s SummerSlam, coming up on August 7, and what could be Luger’s toughest challenge since he won the belt. LUGER says that he doesn’t like Steve Austin, but he can’t deny that Austin is one of the top wrestlers in the World. He’s beaten some of the biggest names in the history of this sport, guys like Ric Flair. PIPER laughs, and says that brings back memories, kicking Flair’s butt all over the Carolina’s. LUGER agrees, saying he’s been there, done that, and then gets back to Austin. He says that it’s going to be a tough match at SummerSlam, but he knows that with all the great WWF fans in his corner, there’s no way he can lose. PIPER sends us back to Gorilla and Bobby. MONSOON says that Piper was right, this match with Austin might just be the toughest challenge that Luger’s had since winning the belt. . . . . . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . . . . . HOWARD FINKEL introduces the competitors for the final match. DEAN MALENKO v. DUANE GILL – Gill gets some offence in, but it’s short-lived, as Malenko takes him to school, wearing Gill down with a variety of moves and holds. Malenko then locks on the Texas Cloverleaf for the submission victory. We see an ad for the upcoming issue of WWF MAGAZINE. THE WINDHAM BROTHERS are on the cover, and inside, we get a candid look at the lives of Barry and Kendall, outside of the ring. . . . . . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . . . . . THURSDAY, JULY 7, 1994 REUNION ARENA in DALLAS, TXHOWARD FINKEL entered the ring, and welcomed the fans to the show, before introducing the first contest. KENDALL WINDHAM (w/ Barry Windham) defeated HEADSHRINKER SAMU (w/ Afa and Fatu) after hitting Samu with a diving clothesline from the top rope. DEAN MALENKO defeated DUKE DROESE in a hard-hitting match, after locking Droese in the Texas Cloverleaf for the submission. THE BIG BOSSMAN defeated KAMALA (w/ Kim Chee) by pinfall, after hitting Kamala with the Bossman Slam. During the match, Kamala delivered his signature big Splash, but made the mistake of trying to pin the Bossman while he was on his stomach. “THE HEARTBREAK KID” SHAWN MICHAELS (w/ Madusa) defeated CRUSH. Crush gave Michaels a run for his money, but in the end, HBK caught Crush with the superkick for the pinfall. **INTERMISSION**After the intermission was the big Tug-Of-War competition. Eight WWF superstars squared off against members of the Dallas Cowboys offensive and defensive lines.
The eight wrestlers are: Hulk Hogan Crush Brutus Beefcake Barry Windham Kendall Windham Hacksaw Duggan Roddy Piper WWF Champion Lex LugerBoth sides gave it everything they had, and at times it looked like either side could emerge victorious, but in the end, the WWF superstars were able to pull the Cowboys players over the line, and were declared the winners! WWF TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH HACKSAW JIM DUGGAN & TATANKA (challengers) defeated THE QUEBECERS (champions) by Disqualification. The match went back and forth for almost 20 minutes, until the challengers had the upper hand, so Jacques resorted to using his cattleprod on Jim Duggan! The referee saw this, and immediately called for the DQ. Afterwards, Tatanka cleared the ring of both Quebecers, before checking on Duggan. MAIN EVENT 60-MINUTE “MARATHON” MATCH FOR THE WWF INTERCONTINENTAL TITLE
“STUNNING” STEVE AUSTIN (champion) (w/ Madusa) defeated MR. PERFECT. These two put on another exciting match for the fans. The idea is that whoever gets the most decisions in the 60 minutes, wins. Neither man had a decision as the match neared the halfway point. Austin had come close on several occasions, but Perfect was able to avoid getting pinned. Austin did strike first, though. At the 33 minute mark, Perfect went for a body press from the top rope, but Austin moved out of the way, and Perfect crashed into the mat. Austin delivered a kneedrop for good measure, and covered Perfect for the pin. Mr. Perfect evened things up about 42 minutes in. He softened Austin up, and then delivered the Perfect-Plex for the pin. At the 55-minute mark, the match was stilled tied up at one fall apiece. Then referee Tim White got caught between Austin and Perfect, and was knocked to the mat. At that point, Shawn Michaels ran down the aisleway, and jumped into the ring. Michaels had on what appeared to be brass knuckles. Perfect turned his attention to Michaels, and BAM, Michaels caught him with the knux right between the eyes. Perfect was out, and Michaels dove out of the ring and hightailed it back to the locker room. As Tim White got back to his feet, all he saw was Austin covering his unconscious opponent. White made the 3-count, and once again, Steve Austin has stolen a victory from Mr. Perfect!

HOWARD FINKEL introduces the competitors for the next match. WINNER GETS A WWF TITLE MATCH HULK HOGAN v. JOHN HAWK (w/ Bob Orton Jr.) – Hogan, looking for an opportunity to regain the belt that he lost at last year’s King of the Ring, takes the fight right to John Haw. Hawk battles back and has the Hulkster in a bad way, until Hogan begins to “Hulk Up”! Nothing seems to phase the Hulkster as he pounds away on Hawk with a series of rights and lefts, but Hawk won’t back down, he continues to battle back. In the end, Hogan has the advantage, and has Hawk down in the corner. Bob Orton Jr. then makes his presence known, handing a pair of brass knux to Hawk! Big John proceeds to blast Hogan in the head with the knux, knocking the Hulkster to the mat. Hawk pulls the groggy Hulkster to his feet, whips him into the ropes, and connects with a vicious Lariat! Hawk covers Hogan, who’s pretty much out of it, and gets the three-count! John Hawk will go on to face Lex Luger for the WWF Title next week on RAW! . . . . . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . . . . . Back from the break, HULK HOGAN is still in the ring, he’s on his feet, but still looks groggy. GORILLA MONSOON joins him in the ring. HOGAN says that Hawk got one over on him this time, he says that he shouldn’t be surprised that he had to hit the Hulkster with a foreign object in order to beat him. He tells Hawk that he may get the title match next week, but on August 7 at SummerSlam, he’s going down! HOWARD FINKEL introduces the competitors for the next match. THE BIG BOSSMAN v. THE BROOKLYN BRAWLER – Brawler gets some offence in, but the Big Bossman gets the win after the Bossman Slam, leading to the pinfall. After the match, BOBBY and GORILLA send us to the set of PIPER’S PIT. HOT ROD introduces his guest this week, THE DISCO INFERNO. PIPER says that we’ve seen videos of Disco Inferno for the past month or so, and Piper says that he’s gotta be honest with him, he has to wonder about the sanity of anyone who actually WANTS to bring disco back. He says that most of them spent many years trying to forget disco. DISCO says that people just don’t appreciate good music anymore. He says that the ‘70s were the golden era, and he will not rest until he’s restored disco music to it’s former glory. PIPER says that he’s going to be waiting a long time. DISCO tells the monkeys in the back to hit the music, and Chic’s “Le Freak” begins to play! DISCO starts dancing, and tries to get Roddy to join in. PIPER gives us a couple of moves, then shakes his head, and walks off the set as the Disco Inferno continues dancing! . . . . . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . . . . . TATANKA & BARRY & KENDALL WINDHAM v. THE QUEBECERS & KAMALA (w/ Kim Chee) – The two teams put on a wild match that sees plenty of double, and triple, teaming on the part of the heels. The Quebecers and Kamala do a good job of keeping Kendall isolated in their corner of the ring for a good chunk of the match, although sometimes it seems that Kamala doesn’t seem to understand the concept of a tag team match. He doesn’t tag out, and seems surprised when the Quebecers slap him on the back to tag themselves in. Late in the match, Kamala and Tatanka are brawling outside the ring, while Barry Windham catches Pierre with a Running Bulldog inside the ring for the three-count! We see an ad for the current issue of WWF MAGAZINE. THE WINDHAM BROTHERS are on the cover, and inside, we get a candid look at the lives of Barry and Kendall, outside of the ring. . . . . . . Hawk tears right into Luger as the Champion is removing the title belt from around his waist. Luger spends the early part of the match just trying to fight back, but Hawk stays on him, and doesn’t give Luger a chance to mount any offence. Hawk keeps Luger on the mat, working him over. Finally Luger is able to make a comeback, and he whips Hawk into the ropes, dropping him with a running clothesline. Luger focuses on the back of the challenger, softening him up for the Torture Rack. Bob Orton makes his presence known, by tripping Luger, as the Total Package bounces off the ropes. Luger falls flat on his face, and Hawk drops an elbow on the back of Luger’s head. Hawk then tosses Luger out of the ring, and pummels him on the arena floor. Back in the ring, Hawk has control of the match, and he delivers a kneedrop that gets him a 2-count. Luger is able to get something going, but it’s short-lived, as Hawk rakes the Champion’s eyes, and drops him with a clothesline. Hawk decides that he’s got the Champion softened up, and whips him into the ropes, for the Lariat. LUGER DUCKS UNDER THE LARIAT, BOUNCES OFF THE OPPOSITE ROPES, AND CATCHES HAWK SQUARE IN THE HEAD WITH A FOREARM SMASH!!! WWF fans are well aware of the steel plates, surgically placed in Luger’s forearm. Hawk hits the mat like a ton of bricks, he’s out cold! MONDAY, JULY 25, 1994 LIVE FROM THE COLISEUM IN NEW HAVEN, CONNECTICUT
AIRING FROM 8pm - 9pm EST ON THE USA NETWORKBefore the opening, we see footage of Roddy Piper brawling with Bob Orton during last week’s Lex Luger – John Hawk match.GORILLA MONSOON and BOBBY HEENAN welcome us to the New Haven Coliseum, for another edition of MONDAY NIGHT RAW!!!MONSOON hypes tonight’s show, including the main event, which is set to take place in just a moment, between Jacques of the Quebecers, and the Native American Tatanka! HOWARD FINKEL is in the ring, and introduces the competitors for the first match. JACQUES v. TATANKA – Jacques refuses to lock up to start the match, every time time the Native American tries, Jacques backs into the corner. When they finally do lock up, Tatanka backs Jacques into the corner, where the Quebecer complains of a hair pull. It goes on like that for the first little bit, every time Tatanka gets the upper hand, Jacques complains to the ref that Tatanka cheated in some way. Finally, Tatanka has had enough, and he tears into Jacques with one forearm smash after another, then bounces off the ropes and delivers a big Tomahawk chop that puts Jacques on the mat. Tatanka covers him, but only gets a 2-count. The action goes back and forth for several minutes. The end comes when Tatanka, who’s well in control, nails Jacques with some more chops, that send the Quebecer through the ropes and to the floor. The referee holds Tatanka back, keeping him from going outside after Jacques. Jacques takes the opportunity to grab the cattleprod that brings to the ring with him. Jacques climbs up on the ring apron, but when Tatanka grabs him to pull him back in, Jacques jabs the cattleprod into Tatanka’s ribs, shocking him. The Native American staggers, and falls to the mat. Jacques drops the cattleprod to the floor, then climbs back into the ring and covers Tatanka. The referee is unsure what’s happened, but doesn’t see any foreign object, so he relunctantly counts. He reaches three, and Jacques is our winner. GORILLA and HEENAN talk about what we just witnessed, and then send us to pre-recorded comments from the Windham brothers, who will challenge the Quebecers for the World Tag Team Titles on August 7 at SummerSlam. BARRY and KENDALL WINDHAM are standing in front of a WWF banner.
BARRY says that he knows the Quebecers are tough to beat, because they’ll do anything to retain their belts, whether it’s within the rules or not. He says that he and Kendall will be ready for anything at SummerSlam, and promises a victory.
KENDALL says that, if Jacques even thinks about trying to use that cattleprod during their match, Kendall’s gonna take it and shove it where the sun don’t shine!
BARRY laughs, and says that’ll give Jacques something to think about!. . . . . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . . . . . Back from the break, we go to Sean Mooney. SEAN MOONEY is in the WWF Event Center for the SUMMERSLAM REPORT. MOONEY says that SummerSlam, the biggest event of the summer, is only 13 days away! It will take place on Sunday night, August 7, from the United Center in Chicago, and you can only see it on Pay-Per-View! MOONEY runs down the full line-up . . . WWF Champ Lex Luger will defend the title against Intercontinental Champ “Stunning” Steve Austin! Only Luger’s belt will be on the line for that one.
Mr. Perfect will face Shawn Michaels in a Steel Cage match, where the loser must LEAVE the WWF.
Roddy Piper has challenged Bob Orton, Jr. to a Chicago Streetfight at SummerSlam! Piper is looking for payback after Orton cost him the Texas Bullrope match at In Your House.
Hulk Hogan will team up with The Big Bossman for a tag team match against the Mastadon, Big Van Vader, and John Hawk.
WWF Tag Team Champions The Quebecers will put the belts on the line against the Windham Brothers, Barry and Kendall.

And the Headshrinkers meet Duke Droese and Brutus Beefcake.MOONEY then sends us to comments from MR. PERFECT. MR. PERFECT is standing in front of a WWF banner.
PERFECT says that SummerSlam will be the end of the line for either him or Shawn Michaels, only one man will remain after their match. Perfect says that, when he’s through with Michaels, there’s going to be a “vacancy” sign hanging at the HeartBreak Hotel! We then go to comments from SHAWN MICHAELS. MICHAELS is admiring himself in the mirror on the Heartbreak Hotel set, then turns to the camera.
MICHAELS says that at SummerSlam, he’s going to prove to the World that Mr. Perfect is anything BUT Perfect, when he beats him in the Cage and sends him packing. He ends by saying that the World Wrestling Federation will be a much better place without that jerk Mr. Perfect around!
HBK then tells the cameraman to get lost, and goes back to admiring himself in the mirror.MOONEY says that SummerSlam is going to be the hottest event of the summer, so call your local cable provider now! GORILLA and HEENAN discuss SummerSlam. MONSOON then talks about the special guest for SummerSlam, the star of the Naked Gun movies . . . LESLIE NIELSON! We cut to a video of LESLIE NIELSON.
NIELSON is walking through the dressing room, talking with some of the wrestlers. He turns away from someone we can’t see . . . and winds up face to face with the Ugandan Headhunter, Kamala! Leslie nearly jumps out of his skin, and hightails it out of the locker room as Kamala does that thing where he slaps his belly!. . . . . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . . . . . HOWARD FINKEL introduces the competitors for the next match. MR. PERFECT v. PAT TANAKA – Tanaka gets some offence in, but Mr. Perfect dominates most of the match, putting Tanaka away with the Perfect-Plex. GORILLA talks about next week, which will feature CRUSH challenging STEVE AUSTIN for the WWF Intercontinental Title! MONSOON then climbs into the ring, and is joined for an interview by CRUSH. GORILLA says that Crush will challenge Austin next week, with the IC Title on the line. CRUSH says that it’s been a while since he’s wrestled for the IC belt, the last time would have been last year’s King of the Ring, where he faced Shawn Michaels, and would have won the belt if not for outside interference. CRUSH then promises his fans that he will not let the same thing happen next week. He says that he will take everything that Steve Austin can throw at him, and he’ll leave the ring as the new Intercontinental Champion! GORILLA, back at ringside with Bobby Heenan, says that Sean Mooney has managed to uncover some news about Shawn Michaels and Steve Austin’s mystery financial backer. He tells the fans that they can call the WWF Hotline to find out what this news is. It costs $1.49 a minute, and tells kids to get their parents permission before calling. . . . . . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . . . . . HOWARD FINKEL introduces the competitors for the next match. BARRY & KENDALL WINDHAM & BOB HOLLY & HACKSAW JIM DUGGAN v. QUEBECER PIERRE & KAMALA & THE HEADSHRINKERS – The rulebook goes right out the window in this match, and referee Tim White has his hands full right from the opening bell. Things don’t get any easier for him as the match progresses, as we very rarely see only two men in the ring at a time. The end comes when Barry Windham pins Samu of the Headshrinkers after a miscommunication between Samu and Pierre resulted in an argument between the two heels. Pierre shoved Samu, and Windham simply rolled a surprised Samu up from behind for the pinfall. SEAN MOONEY interviews WWF Champion LEX LUGER in the aisleway. MOONEY says that Luger has a tough challenge ahead of him at SummerSlam, where he’ll put his belt on the line against the Intercontinental Champion Steve Austin. LUGER says that he’ll give the devil his due, Austin is about as tough as anyone he’s ever faced, and he knows Austin won’t hesitate to break the rules to win a match. Lex says that he’s going to have to be prepared for that. LEX says that he’s in the best shape of his career, and he believes that when the smoke clears, he’ll be standing victorious and leave Chicago with the belt still around his waist! LUGER then talks about his fans, and says that their support has meant so much to him, he could never have got to where he is now if it wasn’t for them. He hopes that they’ll all come out to the United Center on August 7 and cheer him on. . . . . . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . . . . . HOWARD FINKEL introduces the competitors for the next match. BIG VAN VADER (w/ Bob Orton Jr.) v. EIJI EZAKI – Vader simply destroys his smaller opponent, tossing Ezaki around like a ragdoll. We see some improvement from Ezaki compared to his earlier matches, as he does connect with some impressive high flying maneuvers that leave Vader stunned. But in the end, the Mastadon shocks the fans in attendance by delivering a picture-perfect Moonsault, then lifts Ezaki up effortlessly, and delivers a vicious Powerbomb for the pinfall. . . . . . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . . . . . GORILLA and BOBBY wrap up the show. GORILLA hypes next week’s show, which will include Steve Austin defending the Intercontinental Title against Crush, and we’ll see Roddy Piper square off with John Hawk, only 6 days before Piper meets Hawk’s manager Bob Orton Jr. in a Chicago Streetfight at SummerSlam! HEENAN doubts that Piper will even make it to SummerSlam, after Hawk gets through with him next week. —CLOSING CREDITS—

Taped on July 25 at THE COLISEUM in NEW HAVEN, CONNECTICUTGORILLA MONSOON and PAUL E. DANGEROUSLY welcome us to New Haven for this week’s episode of WWF SUPERSTARS!!!GORILLA sends us right up to the ring, where SEAN MOONEY is standing. MOONEY is joined in the ring by the WWF Champion LEX LUGER for an interview. MOONEY says that in just over a week’s time, Luger will defend the WWF Title at SummerSlam against the reigning Intercontinental Champion, “Stunning” Steve Austin. LUGER talks about how he watched Austin as Steve was first starting out, down south, and admits that he saw a lot of himself in Austin. Since then, however, the two men have taken different paths. While Luger chooses to wrestle an honest style, and cares very much about his fans, Austin has turned his back on the fans. Despite their different paths, they’ve arrived at this point, both men holding the two top singles titles in the wrestling World today, and heading towards a showdown at SummerSlam. As Luger’s talking, “STUNNING” STEVE AUSTIN and MADUSA make their way to the ring. They climb into the ring, and Austin grabs the mic out of Luger’s hand. AUSTIN says that if Lex truly saw any of himself in Austin, it was the old Lex Luger, when he was in his prime. Now, Lex is nothing more than a has-been, and on August 7, he’s going to prove it! Austin says that Lex had better enjoy his last six days with that belt, because it’ll be leaving SummerSlam around HIS waist! LUGER snatches the mic back from Austin, and tells him that we’ll see about that. AUSTIN gets in his face, and the two men stand nose to nose. As things get more and more heated, several referees and other wrestlers arrive, and separate the two men before things get out of hand. As he’s leaving, AUSTIN motions that the World Title belt will soon be his! . . . . . . COMMERCIAL BREAK . . . . . . HOWARD FINKEL is in the ring, and introduces the competitors for the first match. MICHAELS says that they are the most impressive tag team he’s seen in a long time, and he’s predicting that they’ll leave the ring at SummerSlam the same way they go in, as World Tag Team Champions! JACQUES says that Michaels is absolutely right. He says that the Windham Brothers just aren’t in their league, and doesn’t think Barry and Kendall will be any problem at all. PIERRE says the Windhams are so dumb, they actually think they stand a chance at SummerSlam, but then again, they are from Texas, and that should be a dead giveaway that they wouldn’t be very bright. HBK stops him, and reminds him that he’s a native Texan as well, and while he can’t stand the Windhams, he won’t stand by and let Pierre insult his home state. PIERRE says that of course not all Texans are idiots, some are bright, upstanding citizens like Michaels, but the Windhams have about as much intelligence as pile of bricks.
