Roddy Piper defeated Lobo Lee(w/Colonel Robert Parker) via DQ. Piper had Lee in the sleeper when Nailz and Doom jumped in. Piper took a beating until Ahmed Johnson and Billy Jack made the save!
Nailz & Doom (w/Colonel Parker) beat Billy Jack Hayne and Tazmaniac after Parker interfered. Afterwards, the Stud Stable tried to injure Taz and Haynes and probably would have done it, too, but Ahmed Johnson ran in. The odds were still too much for the faces until a chair swinging Roddy Piper made the save.
Afterwards, Haynes, Piper, and Johnson did an interview(Tazmaniac went to the back for medical attention). Piper said all three of the men doing the interview came up on the streets. They were used to street fights and the odds being against them! Ahmed said that in the ghetto or as kids call it today, the hood, the odds were always against you! Haynes told Parker that, at the Great American Bash, he could bring as many Stud Stable guys as he wanted! Piper, Haynes , and Johnson would take them on in a streetfight where falls count anywhere in the ballpark- a GHETTO ODDS MATCH!!!
We see a VTR of Ole Anderson and ABDULLAH THE BUTCHER!!! Ole says that Sting has become a big thorn in the side of the Four Horsemen! Sting isn’t the only one with a telephone and a checkbook! If Sting can hire the Great Muta as a hitman, the Horsemen can hire a hitman of their own! This is Abdullah the Butcher, an old friend of Ole’s and Flair’s. He’s shere to take care of the thorn in their side! At the Bash, Sting will wrestle Abdullah and the Butcher will get rid of him once and for all!
Kendall Windham puts forth a courageous effort, but is destroyed by Abdullah the Butcher (w/Ole Anderson).
Sting defeats Joel Deaton. Deaton has his moments, but Sting is too much for him. In an interview with Mean Gene, Sting says that if they are paying Abby big bucks to take him out, he must be getting under their skin!
Vader (w/Harley Race) gets a DQ win over Sid Vicious(w/Ole Anderson). It’s a pyrrhic victory as Arn Anderson, Lex Lugar, Ole Anderson, and Ric Flair gang up Vader and really do a number on the big man. Harley tries to help, but what is one retired wrestler against the Horsemen? Larry Zybysko points out that Vader hasn’t made friends in WCW and it’s costing him now! Finally, Commissioner Nick Bockwinkel and his assistant, Michael Hayes come out and threaten finses and suspensions if the Horsemen don’t stand down!
Flair and the Horsemen do an interview. They say that the Great American Bash, they’ll show the world, once again, why the Four Horsemen dominate WCW! Flair will defend the World Title and give Vader a wrestling lesson! Vicious & Lugar will take the tag title off of the Steiners! Abdullah will take care of their light work, the Stinger! And, this is breaking news: Double A will regain his World TV Title from the Dragon, Ricky Steamboat! At this point, Vader comes out! It takes the combined efforts of Harley Race, Nick Bockwinkel, Michael Hayes, every referee in the building and a few of the job guys to keep Vader from attacking the Horsemen! Flair says he is in the next match, so Vader and Race had better take notes!
World Champion Ric Flair takes on young Doug Basham. Flair wrestles viciously and methodically, zeroing in on Basham’s leg. Flair gets the submission win, but flirts with a DQ as he holds onto the ropes and refuses to release the hold after the bell! Finally, referee Randy Anderson gets him to let up!
The Faces of Fear (w/Colonel Robert Parker) defend the belts against the Eliminators. Saturn & Kronus give the champs a competitive match. The Champions retain as Meng pins Kronus with his Tongan Death Grip. After the bell, Meng refuses to release the hold. Barbarian and Kronus tie Perry Saturn in the ropes and the Barbarian unleashes a series of kicks to Saturn’s face! Finally, Harlem Heat, who will face Meng & the Barbarian for the belts at the Bash, hit the ring and manage to clear the heels out!
Harlem Heat knock off Flaming Youth & Max Thrasher. Zybysko predicts new US champions at the Bash. Naturally, Jesse disagrees.
Ricky Steamboat defends his World TV Title against veteran playboy Buddy Rose. The Dragon wins with a high cross body. Arn Anderson scouts the match at ringside.
US Champion Rick Rude (w/Sherri Martel) scores an impressive win against George South. The announce team notices that Rude is wearing snakeskin wrestling boots! Rude does an interview where he and Sherri imply that they might make a pair of boots with Jake’s hide at the Bash! Jake comes out, carrying a python and Rude and Sherri get outta Dodge! Jake says that his “buddy” was offended by Rude’s boots and Jake was, too! The way Rude runs away, he should trade the boots for a pair of track shoes!

The Four Horsemen(w/Ole Anderson) make a rare, eight man tag team appearance and defeat Steve Blackman, Fit Finlay, Joel Deaton, & Dusty Wolfe. Blackman and Finlay get some offense in, but the Horsemen are too much and Flair forces Wolfe to submit to the figure four.
Afterwards, Mean Gene interviews the Horsemen. Vader comes out and, again this week, has to be restrained by several people from the back! Vader says they don’t have to wait until the Bash! Let’s get it on here at Center Stage! Flair yells that tomorrow night, he’ll show Vader what being the best ever is all about!
Vader (w/Harley Race) looks unstoppable as he crushes Max Thrasher and Flaming Youth in a handicap match. Afterwards, Race and Vader are still challenging Flair to come out and fight! Zybysko says Flair is in serious trouble tomorrow night!
The Road Warriors take the Jynx Brothers apart. In their interview, they tell Luna Vachon and the Nasty Boys that Bull Nakano is on a jet right now and she’ll be in Atlanta in plenty of time for the Bash. They show a few clips of Bull from Japan and Hawk says that she’s like a female Road Warrior! Tomorrow night, they will get rid of Loony Luna and her nasty Boys!
We see a VTR of Billy Jack Haynes, Roddy Piper, and Ahmed Johnson. They are in a bad part of town, standing by a trash can fire. Roddy has a chain that he keeps hitting the can with. Billy Jack says they have gone back to their roots to get prepared for the Ghetto Odds match with the Stud Stable tomorrow night! Haynes warns Nailz that he’ll be looking for him especially! Piper says he like chains and talks about the dog collar match with Greg Valentine at Starrcade ‘83. He keeps saying “Tomorrow night might even be bloodier!” Ahmed says that he knows this thing started when he turned down Parker’s offer to join the Stud Stable when Ahmed first came to WCW. He says the Colonel is behind all of Ahmed’s trouble and that “At the Bash, you won’t escape a tail kickin’, Colonel, ‘cause your butt is in this, too!”
Doom, Lobo Lee, & Nailz (w/Colonel Robert Parker) defeat Doug Basham, George South, & Kendall Windham.
In a postmatch interview, Parker tells Mean Gene that Ahmed is an idiot! Nobody will lay hands on him tomorrow night! The Stud Stable will destroy Piper, Johnson, and Haynes! Nailz launches into a diatribe about Billy Jack, but before he can finish it, WCW official Michael Hayes arrives with a document in hand. Hayes says this is the contract for the Ghetto Odds match. Hayes points out the Colonel’s signature on the contract. Colonel says that he signed on behalf of his men, he has all of their powers of attorney. Hayes also shows him the signature of Doom, Nailz, and Lobo Lee! Parker asks his men why they bothered to do that. He always signs for them! Hayes says that since Parker didn’t specify that he was signing on behalf of someone else that he has placed himself into the match as an active participant! The Colonel is in the Ghetto Odds match! His first reaction is fury! Parker throws his suit jacket and hat onto the floor and stomps them! Then, sheer terror sets in! He grabs his chest and says that he thinks he’s having a heart attack!
The Nasty Boys (w/Luna Vachon) defeat Steve Blackman & the Italian Stallion. The faces put up a decent fight, but the Nasty Boys win. Afterwards, the heels tell Mean Gene that Bull Nakano doesn’t scare Luna and that the Nastys have already proven that they can beat Hawk & Animal!
Two of WCW’s hot young tag teams, Harlem Heat and Team Extreme, take pn the Moondogs, Playboy Buddy Rose, & Johnny Hotbody. The veterans on the heel team make things interesting, but Booker T hits the axe kick on Hotbody for the win! At the Bash, Team Extreme will wrestle the Headbangers and Harlem Heat will challenge the Faces of Fear for the US Tag Titles!
Woreld Tag Team Champions Rick & Scott Steiner will defend the belts against Horsemen Lex Lugar & Sid Vicious at the Bash, but today, they defend against the Bluebloods, Lord Steven Regal & Squire David Taylor. This is a hard fought match, but just at the moment when the Steiners have taken control, Vicious and Lugar run out and attack the champs! Surprisingly, it’s Vader who comes out and evens the odds! Flair and Ole Anderson come out and attempt to intervene and it takes the Steiners, referee Mickey Jay,and Harley Race to keep Vader from going after the Nature Boy!
Jake Roberts defeats Devon Storm. The match is more competitive than expected as Rick Rude and Sherri Martel come to ringside to harass and distract Jake!
World TV Champion Ricky Steamboat defends against Fit Finlay. Jesse and Larry agree that Fit is a good opponent to wrestle in preparation for Arn Anderson at the Bash. This is a fast paced, exciting contest where Finlay wrestles as an all out heel. Steamboat gets the duke with a crucifix pin.
US Champion Rick Rude(w/Sherri Martel) suffers a shocking countout loss to the Blue Yankee. Here’s how it went down: During the match, Roberts came to ringside with his snake. Jake snuck up on Sherri and put the snake on her shoulders! Sherri went into a screaming fit! Rude left the ring to help Sherri, but got int a brawl with Roberts! Jake DDT’d Rude on the Center Stage floor! Jake was unable to return to the ring and was counted out!

Team Extreme fought the Headbangers to a 15 minute draw in an all action match.
Ahmed Johnson, Roddy Piper, and Billy Jack Haynes beat Lobo Lee, Nailz, Doom, & Colonel Robert Parker in a Ghetto Odds match. Piper put the Colonel out with the sleeperhold at the 8:15 mark.
Gene Okerlund was interviewing Vader & Harley Race in the dressing room area about the upcoming World Title match when the Horsemen jumped Vader and Race! Race took the brunt of the attack as he took both an Arn Anderson gourdbuster and a Sid Vicious powerbomb on the concrete floor! Vader was noticeably limping afterwards.
Sting beat Abdullah the Butcher (w/ Ole Anderson) after three consecutive Stinger splashes in 7:12. The Butcher used several foreign objects to lacerate the Stinger. Sting won, but he knew that he’d been in a fight!
The Road Warriors & Bull Nakano beat the nasty Boys & Luna Vachon in 6:21. Bull pinned Luna after hitting the Doomsday Device on Luna off of Hawk’s shoulders. After the match, the Nastys abandoned Luna as she was lying unconscious in the ring. A mic on a handheld camera picked up Knobbs saying “We don’t have time for losers!”
Harlem Heat beat the Faces of Fear(w/Nailz) by DQ in 12:01 when Nailz got physically involved in the match. Nailz filled in for Parker. It was announced that the Colonel had been taken to a local hospital. Billy Jack Haynes made the save as he ran in with a 2x4!
World TV Champion Ricky Steamboat pinned Arn Anderson(Ole Anderson) in a 25:22 classic with a high cross body to retain the title.
In the US Title match, Rick Rude defeated Jake Roberts by countout at the 14:01 mark. Before the match, Rude announced that Sherri was under psychiatric care after her traumatic experience with Jake and his snake last night. Rude said his neck was still sore after the DDT on the floor, but he would wrestle even though his doctor advised against it. It turned out to be a setup as Sherri showed up at ringside and attempted to steal Jake’s snake bag as Roberts was dominating the action. Jake chased after her and got himself counted out. Rude was flexing, bumping and grinding to celebrate when Jake returned, carrying his recovered bag! Jake hit the ring, gave Rude a DDT, and put the snake on the US Champion’s prone body!
Rick & Scott Steiner retained the World Tag Team Titles against Lex Lugar & Sid Vicious via DQ. After several minutes of evenly fought action, Ole Anderson and Abdullah the Butcher came to ringside. As Abdullah distracted referee Randy Anderson, Ole crawled into the ring and hit a piledriver on Scott! The ref was counting the pin, but Sting ran in and stooged Ole off to the ref!The Horsemen team was DQ’d! After the match, Sting and the Steiners fought Sid, Lex, and Abdullah all over the stadium! Time of the match:11:01.
Ric Flair(w/Ole Anderson) took on Vader for the World Title. Naturally,Harley Race did not accompany Vader. Vader was limping and favoring his leg throughout the match. Despite that, Flair sold for the big man like he was King Kong! Vader was dominant for most of the way despite his injured leg, but eventually, the champ zeroed in on the injury and Ole’s interference also took a toll. Finally, Flair applied the figure four. Flair was close enough to the ropes that he could grab the middle rope for added leverage on the hold. Vader would not submit, but eventually passed out from the pain. Flair was declared the winner at the 27:32 mark.
After the match, referee Nick Patrick, Larry Zybysko, WCW Commissioner Nick Bockwinkel, WCW official Michael Hayes, and the Steiner Brothers came out and tended to the fallen Vader. The fans hung around and gave him a standing ovation as he limped off the field.

Team Extreme fought the Headbangers to a 15 minute draw in an all action match.
Ahmed Johnson, Roddy Piper, and Billy Jack Haynes beat Lobo Lee, Nailz, Doom, & Colonel Robert Parker in a Ghetto Odds match. Piper put the Colonel out with the sleeperhold at the 8:15 mark.
Gene Okerlund was interviewing Vader & Harley Race in the dressing room area about the upcoming World Title match when the Horsemen jumped Vader and Race! Race took the brunt of the attack as he took both an Arn Anderson gourdbuster and a Sid Vicious powerbomb on the concrete floor! Vader was noticeably limping afterwards.
Sting beat Abdullah the Butcher (w/ Ole Anderson) after three consecutive Stinger splashes in 7:12. The Butcher used several foreign objects to lacerate the Stinger. Sting won, but he knew that he’d been in a fight!
The Road Warriors & Bull Nakano beat the nasty Boys & Luna Vachon in 6:21. Bull pinned Luna after hitting the Doomsday Device on Luna off of Hawk’s shoulders. After the match, the Nastys abandoned Luna as she was lying unconscious in the ring. A mic on a handheld camera picked up Knobbs saying “We don’t have time for losers!”
Harlem Heat beat the Faces of Fear(w/Nailz) by DQ in 12:01 when Nailz got physically involved in the match. Nailz filled in for Parker. It was announced that the Colonel had been taken to a local hospital. Billy Jack Haynes made the save as he ran in with a 2x4!
World TV Champion Ricky Steamboat pinned Arn Anderson(Ole Anderson) in a 25:22 classic with a high cross body to retain the title.
In the US Title match, Rick Rude defeated Jake Roberts by countout at the 14:01 mark. Before the match, Rude announced that Sherri was under psychiatric care after her traumatic experience with Jake and his snake last night. Rude said his neck was still sore after the DDT on the floor, but he would wrestle even though his doctor advised against it. It turned out to be a setup as Sherri showed up at ringside and attempted to steal Jake’s snake bag as Roberts was dominating the action. Jake chased after her and got himself counted out. Rude was flexing, bumping and grinding to celebrate when Jake returned, carrying his recovered bag! Jake hit the ring, gave Rude a DDT, and put the snake on the US Champion’s prone body!
Rick & Scott Steiner retained the World Tag Team Titles against Lex Lugar & Sid Vicious via DQ. After several minutes of evenly fought action, Ole Anderson and Abdullah the Butcher came to ringside. As Abdullah distracted referee Randy Anderson, Ole crawled into the ring and hit a piledriver on Scott! The ref was counting the pin, but Sting ran in and stooged Ole off to the ref!The Horsemen team was DQ’d! After the match, Sting and the Steiners fought Sid, Lex, and Abdullah all over the stadium! Ric Flair(w/Ole Anderson) took on Vader for the World Title. Naturally,Harley Race did not accompany Vader. Vader was limping and favoring his leg throughout the match. Despite that, Flair sold for the big man like he was King Kong! Vader was dominant for most of the way despite his injured leg, but eventually, the champ zeroed in on the injury and Ole’s interference also took a toll. Finally, Flair applied the figure four. Flair was close enough to the ropes that he could grab the middle rope for added leverage on the hold. Vader would not submit, but eventually passed out from the pain. Flair was declared the winner at the 27:32 mark.
After the match, referee Nick Patrick, Larry Zybysko, WCW Commissioner Nick Bockwinkel, WCW official Michael Hayes, and the Steiner Brothers came out and tended to the fallen Vader. The fans hung around and gave him a standing ovation as he limped off the field.
