The show begins with a video package of highlights from the Clash of the Champions.
Once we go to Center Stage, Roddy Piper is standing in the middle of the ring. Piper says that he’s noticed that the word “extreme” is used a lot these days! Commercials, movies, you name it! There are even “extreme sports”. Professional wrestling has always been extreme! Roddy has met a pair of young guys recently who love going to the extreme and he’s advised them to form a tag team! Here they are...Scotty Riggs and Tommy Dreamer…..TEAM EXTREME!!!
Team Extreme(w/ Roddy Piper) successfully debut as they knock off the veteran team of Playboy Buddy Rose and Chick Donovan.
Nailz (w/Col. Robert Parker)beats the Tennessee Thumper. In an interview with Mean Gene, Billy Jack Haynes says that sooner of later, nailz will have to meet him in the ring!
WCW World Champion Ric Flair(w/Ole Anderson) defeats the Italian Stallion. Flair says that Vader is a big, tough man, but at the Great American Bash, Vader will find out why the Nature Boy is the best ever! Vader might not even make it to the Bash because, tonight, he has to wrestle the Enforcer, Arn Anderson!
Sid Vicious & Lex Lugar (w/ Ole Anderson) demolish Dusty Wolfe & Doug Basham. Sid says that the Steiners stuck their nose in Horsemen business at the Clash! Sid and Lex want a World Tag Team Title match at the Bash! Ole says nobody knows more about tag team wrestling than he does and he has a strategy to beat Rick and Scott!
The Nasty Boys (w/Luna Vachon) defeat Flaming Youth & George South. Afterwards, Knobbs and Saggs say that the Road Warriors went too far when Animal put his hands on Luna at the Clash!
The Road Warriors defeat Joel Deaton & Johnny Hotbody. Hawk & Animal say that they warned Luna about sticking her nose in their business! They tell the Nastys and Luna to keep July 28th open on their calendar because they have something big planned! Luna’s problems are gonna get worse!
In a wild one, Harlem Heat defeats the Moondogs. During the match, the Faces of Fear and Col. Parker scout Booker T and Stevie Ray.
The World Tag Team Champions, Rick & Scott Steiner beat the Jynx Brothers. Afterwards, Rick & Scott say that they will be glad to defend the belts against Vicious & Lugar at the Bash!
The US Tag Team Champions the Faces of Fear((w/Colonel Robert Parker) score an impressive win against Kendall Windham & Max Thrasher.
In a World TV Title match, Champion Ricky Steamboat pins Fit Finlay. This is an excellent match!
Jake Roberts, Ahmed Johnson, & Taz defeat Rick Rude(w/Sherri Martel) & the Bluebloods when Roberts pins Taylor after a DDT. After the bout, Jake indicates that he wants Rude’s US Title belt!
A VTR is shown of Vader and Harley Race. Harley says that nobody knows more about winning championships than he does! Race says that in the weeks leading up to the Bash, Vader will go through the Horsemen, one by one, and he starts tonight with Arn Anderson!
Vader (w/Harley Race) defeats Arn Anderson(w/Ole Anderson) after a Vader Bomb. This a very physical match that even sees Race and Ole come to blows (advantage Race). The Center Stage crowd seems to back Vader even though neither man actually works face.
Schiavone announces that next week, Vader takes on Lex Lugar!

The Road Warriors trounce Max Thrasher & Johnny Hotbody. Afterwards, they do an interview. They say that as mean as they are and as bad as their attitudes are, they don’t get off on beating up women! They are sick of Luna Vachon’s interference in their matches with the Nasty Boys and, at the Great American Bash at Fulton County Stadium on July 28th, they have a way to take care of Luna! Hawk explains that on a recent tour of Japan, he and Animal saw a woman wrestle and it was like watching a female Road Warrior! They roll a music video featuring BULL NAKANO( “Tell That Girl To Shut Up” by Transvision Vamp). At the Bash, Luna and the Nastys will pay the price!!!
Roddy Pier’s new team of Team Extreme look really good in a win over Captain Victory & the Vandal.
The Headbangers beat Jeff Hardy & Flaming Youth. Afterwards, Mosh & Thrasher tell Mean Gene that they owe Roddy Piper some paybacks and they want a match with Team Extreme at the Bash!
Billy Jack Haynes makes his WCW debut with a submission win over the masked Baron Von Steiger. Afterwards, Billy Jack says he’s gonna get his hands on Nailz sooner or later!
Vader (w/ Harley Race) continues his path to the bash and his title shot with Flair by taking on Horseman Lex Lugar(w/Ole Anderson). After an absolute war, Vader pins Lugar after a Vader Bomb. In a post match interview, Vader and Race say Arn Anderson went down, then Lugar, that only leaves Sid Vicious standing between vader and Slick Ric! Vicious comes out and says he’s beaten Vader every time he’s been in the ring with him and he’ll take him on again! Vader challenges Sid to meet him in the ring here next week! Sid agrees!
Sid Vicious (w/Ole Anderson) demolishes Chris Walker.
Ahmed Johnson defeats Lobo Lee (w/Colonel Robert Parker) by DQ when Nailz and Doom jump Ahmed! Billy Jack makes the save!
Ahmed talks about being raised in the hood, what they used to call the ghetto and says the odds were always against him back then, too! Billy Jack says he came up the same way and, if Ahmed needs him, he’ll be there!
Jake Roberts pins Playboy Buddy Rose in a battle of veterans.
Rick Rude(w/Sherri Martel) does an interview and says that he hasn’t got a challenger for his US Title at the Bash! Sherri says that it looks like there aren’t any real men left in WCW! Jake and his snake come out and send Rude and Sherri running for the hills! Jake says that he’ll wrestle Rude for the title!
Nailz & Doom (w/Colonel Robert Parker) defeated Kendall Windham & Tazmaniac. After the pinfall, the heels continued to beat up Windham. Taz fought back until Lobo Lee interfered and hit him from behind with a cowboy boot! The Stud Stable stomped Tazmaniac and Windham until Billy Jack Haynes and Ahmed Johnson ran in for the save!
The Nasty Boys (w/Luna Vachon) defeat the Italian Stallion & Doug Basham. In an interview, Luna seems leery of getting in the ring with Bull Nakano at first, but before it’s over, she is threatening Nakano and the Road Warriors with some severe punishment!
Rick & Scott Steiner defeat Dusty Wolfe & CW Anderson. The World Tag Team Champions say that they are looking forward to taking on two Hoprsemen, Lex Lugar & Sid Vicious, at the Great American Bash!
World Champion Ric Flair (w/Ole Anderson) defeats Matt Hardy. After the win, Flair tells Mean Gene that Vader is a big, tough, individual, but when the champion is done, Vader’s tongue will be dragging the ground and he’ll wish that he had never laid eyes on Ric Flair! Vader might not even make it to the Bash next week, says Ole, because the Horsemen have big plans for Vader next week, here on the Superstation!
